If I could give a negative star it would be minus 20. Like others we were duped into signing over our 2 berm deeded property at grand Crowne in Brandon in October 2015. We’ve paid out over $10,000 in purchase price to add more points, maintenance fees etc. & to date the only people that answer the phone are marketers trying to sell more or finally today a customer service person who refused to allow us to use our points because our account was "audited" & we owe fees for 2015 & I must prove I don’t owe these fees (?). We also received a debt collection letter from grand crown because they show capital cancelled the deed transfer. It took the Missouri attorney general to get capital’s attorney to correct the records. Do Not believe anything they tell you.

Was a Grand Crowne member and was talked into converting to Capitol resorts. Big mistake so far. Found out about annual club dues never mentioned during the pitch. Found out when my interval vacation was canceled because I owed the dues. Somehow I actually talked to someone who took my money then I had to go back thru interval to rebook. Since then I have tried 6 times to contact Capitol to book the remainder of my points. Each time there’s no answer other than a recorded message to leave a callback number. No one ever calls back. I would suggest you stay as far away from Capitol as possible. Wish I had never heard of them and I doubt I ever get much use out of the

My husband and I live locally and
My husband and I live locally and like many times before we went down for a 90 minute presentation. Same building with the same title over the doorway….it says Grand Crown. You go inside and everything looks the same. We sat down and visited and then they took us on property to Grand Crown. They took us in the rooms and told us once we became owners our room would be more decorated. We had previously stayed there and know that the rooms are plain. This is a flat out lie. We came back to the sales room and it wasn’t till salesman Ricky Gillette came over and presented to us a nickel-a-point program that we looked a little closer. During our conversation our salesman Don Earl told us how low the maintenance fees are in Branson and how the Mayor of Branson was keeping other entertainment out of Branson….so all along we think we are investing in Grand Crown. The developer of Grand Crown is C.J.Perme….he is also the developer of Capital. He became financially broke with Grand Crown….and has started up this shell company to get people to buy into it. After 6 hrs. of lies….the last lie being that they told us we could bring ALL of our animals to their resorts. They knew I was in rescue and I had multiple pets. That is what sold us. Well back in the contract room I noticed that the property was in Florida. When I inquired about it they said that we just randomly pull up properties….your still in the same T.S. group. Dummy us believed them…but this is the bait and switch. They bait you with Branson and Grand Crown….and switch you with Capital in Florida. I currently have a lawyer and have contacted Capitals lawyer, David DeShawn in Florida. It is my hopes that we can get out of this contract, but if not I will get my $15,000.00 back by protesting outside on the sidewalk. They happened to pick on the wrong person and pooped in their own back yard. It is NOT Grand Crown that is doing this…they want to ruin Grand Crowns name and Grand Crown owner’s assoc. also has a lawsuit filed. It is Capital Resorts that is the scam company. Please file with Missouri’s Attorney General, Chris Koster. I am also going to contact Branson City Manager because this is putting a bad light on their town.
I would like to get in with
I would like to get in with you on this court proceeding with your lawyer and you to make this a bigger deal. I sold our interest to Grand Crown, which be blessed you did not get in to, to get into a vacation club where we would pay no maintenance fees and we could trade in our Grand Crown interest and be rid of it. Well, we signed over the GC interest, sent the deed to the county office to make it official, and continually get billed for maintenance fees. I have demanded an explanation as accorded by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and received nothing from them. Only bills for maintenance. This is a scam. Big Time. I want out also. please get back to me on this possibility.

Capital Resorts Group Reviews & Complaints
A little over 3 years ago I was roped into a timeshare with the promise of it being exactly what I needed, it was not . Less than 60 days after purchasing the timeshare I attended a workshop and was told then that I shouldn’t have even been allowed to purchase what I did and that it in no way was near enough to even use and that I would need to purchase more . I have not used this product and have been trying to get free of this horrible contract and company . They DO NOT have the clients best interest and are just one more money hungry and greedy corporation that cares nothing for the consumer .

Capital Resorts are not only a bunch of liars they also target the elderly. How many of you are over 60 yrs of age? I can”t believe there is not a class action suite against this company. My suggestion for others RUN stay away from this company!!! By the way how your contract states basically they can lie to you without any consequences. They will reap what they sow!!!
Capital Resorts Group Reviews & Complaints
Capital Resorts contacted us through phone approximately one year ago. They offered 4 day Carnival cruise line tickets in exchange for $300 and our commitment to sit through a 90 minute timeshare presentation. We did not agree at first, but after quite a bit of sales tactics and lowering the price to about $200 we committed. They took our credit card information and charged the card promptly. A week or two later I called the number they gave me to set up our presentation. We chose Biloxi, MS as our destination, because it was the closest from our home in Illinois. The customer service rep who I spoke with booked us for the South Beach condo resort complex. She told me I would receive confirmation through email. I did, but it was for the QUALITY INN. I called several times to try an remedy the problem, however most times I was sent to a voicemail which was pointless, because no one would return my calls. When I did finally reach someone, I was spoken to in a very condescening tone and told I did not understand. They told me they could play the recording back, to which I GLADLY accepted! That would prove what I was told. Eventually, I was a pain in the butt to the point I was given to a manager. I asked her, just like I had the other reps, to put us in the condo we were told we were booking. She said she could not do that. I asked for our money to be refunded and to forget the whole thing. She said she could not do that, because it had been over the 30 day refund deadline. However, if they had returned my phone calls when I began tryiing to take care of the problem it would NOT have been past the 30 days. I don”t consider this a coincidence, more like a fraudulent tactic. Anyway, after offering us a $100 gift card for the trouble I accepted. I was not going to get the refund for the accomodations, so this was better than nothing. On June 13-15, 2015 my family and I traveled to Biloxi, MS and checked in at th Quality Inn. This was not at all what we were promised, but we had no choice but to accept. This is the first complaint. Now for the second complaint. We attended the timeshare presentation that was supposed to last 90 minutes. Before we went in we were told by a salesman that we would be given anything we were promised at the end of the 90 minutes whether we purchased a timeshare or not. So, we sat there for three hours listening, touring, and considering a timeshare. Thank goodness we did not cave in to the high pressure sales pitch. At the end of the presentation we were led to a lady at a desk where she was told to give us our gifts that we were promised. We were given the $100 gift card that the manager told me we would get when she did not give us the condo they had told us we would be staying in. However, wouldn”t you know it, they were OUT OF the Carnival Cruise line certificates! How convenient! At this point after all the other trouble, I knew this was another way to cheat us, but what was I going to do? I accepted and signed the gifting profile sheet that she filled out stating they would mail us the cruise tickets as soon as they got more in. She signed it as well. To this day we still have not received the 4 day cruise vouchers on a Carnvial cruise line. I have called and emailed about this without success. As with every other situation that I have dealt with this company thus far, I have been avoided and not contacted with an explanation or even better the gift we were promised. We paid money to stay in a hotel when were were told our reservations were in a condo after spending hour trying to resolve the issue. We also were never given the 4 day cruise tickets we were promised. We realize we were naive and trusting and understand we may not be able to receive a refund for our less than desirably expected stay. However, we do feel the tickets for the cruise, which we were told would not have any hidden fees or blackout dates, should be pursued and received. We do have all paperwork from the commitment to mail our gift, plus can produce phone records, email correspondence, and credit card statments if needed.

Capital Resorts Referral Program is a SCAM!!! I have called and sent emails, yet no one has contacted me back. At this point, I have nonodea who to contact. I referred 4 people on the owner”s referral program over 8 weeks ago and still have not received my credit towards my maintenance fee. It”s concerns me that late fees can be so easily assessed to my account for not paying my MF, yet it takes so long to get a credit. I want my credits toward my account before making a payment. That was the whole reason why I did the owner”s referral. Is this company”s goal to get referrals, but not pay the members? I see everything at the advantage for this company, but not the owners. You raise the fees every year. Yet, when its time for you to do something for the owner, you can”t receive a phone call. I can guarantee that I won”t be referring anyone else. This company is a rip off and not in the best interest for anyone who invests with poor customer service reps who lie to you and tell you what you want to hear! I regret the day that I ever invested with Capital.

Check out the complaints board for grand crown resorts, they are the same company and have complaints filed under that business name. These people are lying to people everyday and their scam has been sucking people in for years. They have been promising a lodge/clubhouse in pigeon forge under construction since at least 2008 and they pushed some dirt around in 2014 when they scammed me into their mess. That spot now has weeds growing on it and no construction has been done, not even a foundation. We need to all get together and picket their sales office and their “official welcome center”. It may not get our money back but it will stop others from being screwed by these crooks. The pictures below show the lodge/clubhouse and swimming pool, can you see them? I can”t either! Capital Resorts Group Reviews & Complaints
Don”t fall fall for this scam!! In june 2016 while on family vacation in pigeon forge, my husband and I were approached by someone with discount tickets to dixie stampede. All we had to do was pay $120 for a family of 5, and go to a “90 minute” presentation that serves free breakfast/lunch for your family. So on our last day of vacation we went to the “90 min presentation” that turned into 4 hours. They brought as back and showed us where the muffins were and hot dogs, not the meal we were promised to receive. Throughout the sales pitch, the salesperson tammy told us how much better this was than a time share. She bragged about the platinum status that we would get which comes with 12 getaway weeks plus our points totaling 15 weeks a year to enjoy with our family that we could not afford otherwise. She stated that if we could not enjoy the getaway weeks ourselves we could rent the weeks to help pay the timeshare off earlier and enjoy the income. She said that we could also buy the getaway weeks and give away as gifts to friends and family. She asked if we had been to disney, which we have not. She continued by telling us about this wonderful vacation her and her family took to disney world and stayed on disney at the animal kingdom for $169 a week per room. We really impressed both of us and were very interested but expressed to her that we were in the middle of purchasing a home and could not make a purchase like this at the time. I explained that I could not open any new accounts on my credit, especially a timeshare that is considered a mortgage. She told me that they do all in house financing, that this was why their interest rates were high. Assured me that my credit would only have a soft check on it. I explained that we were doing a va home loan which has strict guidelines and could not risk our closing not going through. She would not take “no” for an answer!!! I felt very pressured, and after being there several hours with a sick 11 month old we were ready to go and had been presented with nothing but lies that we fell for. We even paid $1200 down. When time to leave we didn”t receive our tickets to dixie stampede, told us they were sold out and only gave me $80 refund and tickets to a museum we already went to. Couple months later I received a letter in the mail informing me they adjusted our points by increase of 100. It also included an updated contract that moved the timeshare location and from florida to wisconsin, I did not sign this nor authorize any changes. I was also billed and deducted from my checking acct maintenance fees a few months into the purchase. I called numerous times getting transferred to several different people never talking to anyone that could tell me anything about the letter or fees. Then I received letter from polynesian resorts stating that equiant financial services will be maintaining account billing/payments. So here I am, a disabled veteran, with limited income, was coerced into making the purchase of a timeshare location in florida by misrepresentation and unethical means to lock us in a longterm contract under false pretenses. I was finally able to get in contact with someone, chris cargill at [protected], that could answer some of my questions. Explained to him my situation, I was then informed that there is no such thing as in house financing, that he didn”t know why I would be told that. He even guessed who my sales person was. Apologized for how I was done and lied to, but that he was not able to do anything and gave me another number to call. Once again I got nowhere, no answers, no resolution. I will hire an attorney and file a lawsuit if this is not resolved asap. This company has taken advantage of a veteran and several other people. This has been allowed to go on way too long, how is this legally possible?! I have not been able to login my account online to even be able to book anything, says password needs reset, sent request, still have not received email.
Capital Resorts Group Reviews & Complaints
During check-in at Country Club Villas for a Myrtle Beach vacation (Apr 22, 2017), I was told I had to meet with a Capital Resorts rep., as my current time share was being transferred to Capital Resorts. I met with the rep, and made an appointment to discuss the transfer. During my appointment on Apr 26, 2017 (“only an hour of your time”), I felt like the guinea pig for the new program, as my rep knew very little and had to ask his supervisor questions throughout the meeting. During the next 5 hours, I purchased a foreclosed time share, and was promised the points and $2, 000 that were still on the time share, and told they would be deposited into my Capital Resorts account and my bank account “shortly.” I was also told I would receive an invitation to a New Owners Weekend to learn the account and online process to be better able to take advantage of the Capital Resorts experience. It is now 10 months later, and I have received NOTHING that was promised – no points, no $2, 000, no Weekend, no orientation, and no one returns my calls. However, they NEVER fail to deduct my monthly payments! I have since learned I was lied to, as there was never a transfer from Country Club Villas to Capital Resorts, and I now own 2 time shares. In Dec 2017 I met a rep at the North Myrtle Beach office to share my frustrations and get rid of my time share. I was told they would get back to me with a solution within 48 hours. A month later, nothing thus far. I called the woman I spoke with and left a voice mail message, with no response. I HIGHLY advise against any dealings with Capital Resorts. Talk about con artists! Maybe this complaint will save someone else from making the same mistake and avoiding a MAJOR rip-off!
Capital Resorts Group Reviews & Complaints
Hello, We were called and told that we won a vacation through Capital Resorts. The woman told us we would need to go to a presentation in Kennebunk ME and would automatically be given a $50 gift certificate to a restaurant. We asked multiple times about length of presentation since we live over an hour away and needed a babysitter. She assured us it was 45 minutes and we would receive the gift certificate just for attending. After 90 minutes we said we could not stay any longer. We were told we could leave and still get our gift certificate and come back another time. So we went to the front office and were rudely told he did not have a gift certificate for us. We will not be back and will tell others that this was a scam.

I am writing this letter requesting a complete refund of the ocean view vacation villas in biloxi, ms, that I booked in april 2017 and was told I had 18 months to take the trip. I called in april 2018 to schedule my trip to biloxi and was told that destination was never going to be available, which leads to me to wonder if there ever was a viable vacation to ocean view vacation villas in biloxi, ms? Furthermore, it is still being advertised on your website! I spoke with amanda j griffin, compliance manager and she sent an email address to which I forwarded this correspondence 3 weeks ago, to no response. Please issue a refund immediately to my credit card, or you may forward and expedited check me at the address listed on the confirmation below in the amount of $189.00, which is what I paid.

I arrive at the Polynesian hotel to` pick up my vacation seminar introduction package on 5/19/2017 . After getting the information package we where instructed to proceed to the Fitzgerald motel . We arrived at the motel, too see groups of people hanging out in front of the exit door and in the parking lot. We drove around looking for a place to park for about #45 min, and wind up calling back to the Polynesian for help in getting into another room or motel . We where told they could not helps us because, they were full, at this point we decided to return back to our home . From our point of view we can not and will not recommend that motel to anyone . Thank you . WE are making a request for our money be returned to us .

I cancelled in a timely manner what I thought was the entire package only to be told that I only cancelled the upgrade. On June 10th 2019 I was informed that I would receive a refund in 7-10 days by Donnika . After several conversations with Ashley as well a conversation with Pam I was assured the refund would arrive by July 3. Instructions were to call on 7/3. I must presume that the decision to close on that date was a sudden one or else I would not have been instructed to call knowing the would be closed. I’ve been given nothing but the run around and consistently lied to by personnel that was extremely nice and seemingly sincere. When I was told by Pam that if I refused to pay for the original contract that was incorporated into the upgrade that my credit would suffered and I would be hounded by credit collectors, I reinstated the payment for the original contract. The website has never listed any points that we have. The upgrade was on May 31st. It was cancelled June 4th. We were never provided with the information that we thought we would receive as owners. My preference is to cancel the entire contract, however since Pam said that Capital Vacations could not honor the misinformation provided to us, I would like to receive a refund of the entire down payment with interest and any penalties that have accrued as result of the refund not being returned in a timely manner. I look forward to a reply.

I have been in contact with an individual since last year because of a complaint i had. So the bottom line was was that we came to the conclusion that my 2018 fees would be waived. Well it’s The end of March and i am still fighting with capital resorts on getting my fees waived because i was told they where. I have paid my monthly payments but my account is suspended. Really???? I can’t use my timeshare and i was told that i have to prove that the individual said what he did. I have proof and i sent it in! But it shouldn’t come down to that since i have been dealing with this since last year!!! I am so sick and tired of this company promising that they will fix it and then say if their is anything else let them know and they will fix it directly. Haha. What a joke!! If i could i would have never stepped into this contract and did my research first. These people don’t care about you they only care about the money!!!

I have been owner of timeshare at Stormy Point at Branson MO. I make a monthly payment and have a week every other year for 4 bedroom. Recently Stormy Point was acquired by Capital Vacations and we attended a meeting to learn more about the new Capital Vacations benefits etc. we met on 11/2/19 with a representative of Capital Vacations who gave us information on how CV uses “points” and it all sounded great as the flexibility sounded like something that suited us better. Told the rep that I didn’t want a larger payment than what I currently had. She even asked me how much it was and I told her. She said she could get it down to less than that. She left the table and went and talked to her “boss” who came to the table. They showed us differences between what the cost of points at different levels would be if we weren’t an owner at Stormy point and costs because we were a stormy point owner. We opted for one that was not the lowest level (price) but next lowest level. That payment was over $100 month less then current payment. So when we went to sign papers we learned that this new payment was going to be in. ADDITION to our existing payment. That was NOT explained to us by the rep. I am really disappointed in. The sales tactics that was used by the lady who said she had been doing this for 13 years. Very bad experience and I would never recommend this company to anyone

I have been trying since July 2018 to get my timeshare cancelled. After multiple phone calls and messages I FIANLLY got someone to answer the phone at Myrtle Beach office. When I explained situation I was told to ” just stop the payment at bank”. Then after much more discussion I was told to send him (David Barbosa) an email explaining everything I had told him and he would send it to corparate office to be taken care of. Since then he has not answered any of my calls and would not even acknowledge receipt of the email as I requested. These people are liars.

I met with Randy Parker in September 2017 at Branson, Missouri. He convinced me to upgrade my timeshare as I would have a much greater choice of locations. He also said that he could easily sell my points that were due to expire in November. Repeated calls to him to set up an account were not returned, so I called the corporate office. The lady told me that those points could not be sold because they were banked and that I should go through the corporate office to sell any of my points. She did reinstate them until March I, but I feel that the product was totally misrepresented by Parker. He also told me that any time I had a question or wanted to book a reservation that I could call him, which apparently is not true. He also assured me that he could sell my time share next year, if I wanted him to, for above the amount that I had invested in it. Over all, I feel that my trust was definitely misplaced. I also did not receive the voucher that I was promised for a cruise for two people.

I paid a Capital Resorts representative $100 for a presentation and 2 night stay at the Polynesian in Wisconsin Dells, WI. I did this on July 28, 2017. I chose this location because it’s only a 3-hour drive from my home. When I called to book my date I was told they no longer have any place for me to stay in Wisconsin Dell’s and I’d need to visit Branson, MO or Orlando, FL instead. Furthermore, they refused to refund my $100 down-payment. What a scam. Avoid this company at all costs.
Capital Resorts Group Reviews & Complaints
I purchased a package from a vendor at Shorview Days July 2017. I go to schedule my package I paid for at Wisconsin Dells and told they no longer book at this location even though I have 1 year from date of purchase to book. Capital Resorts could care less about helping me get my refund and all I get is the run around. Capital Resorts can”t provide a service I paid for at the specific location, give me my money back. It is as simple as that. I have all my paperwork with their name blasted all over it, don”t try and tell me you can”t get me my refund. Not my problem, they contracted with the vendor not I. It has been a nightmare to try and get my money back from these crooks. Run if you see these scammers at Capital Resorts.
