I have a CPAP through Cigna which allows new durable goods annually because they get dirty (e.g. bacteria) and although you can clean them with bleach and vinegar, it is complex – some parts can’t take bleach, etc. a.k.a. “durable goods peripherals replacement.”

I was insured by Cigna as an employee but then became my husband’s spouse (long story). CareCentrix which was contracted with Cigna (my old and new insurance) called me multiple times but never sent me a bill when they replaced parts of my durable medical device. They just sent it to American Medical Collection Agency.
