Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to bring to your attention the incident that took place today with your branch in Durban. The entire Durban branch is a bunch of amateurs and novices. I was due to receive/sign for my Discovery Card today. CCD Couriers called me on Thursday last week notifying me that the Discovery Card was going to be delivered on Monday, 5th of June 2017 between 8am to 10am sharp. This was their arrangement and not mine. I then made an arrangement with my office to start work at exactly 10h30am after having the card delivered to my home. I took my daughter to school as early as 07h30am to accommodate the courier service in question. I called the their offices at 09h30am seeing that they were not making any contacts as to their whereabouts and also seeing that I might be late for work, I then took the initiative to make the call. I went through the reception desk and was transferred to dispatch, the guy who answered the phone promised to get hold of the driver and get back to me with the feedback but he never did. I called again at 10am and spoke to another different guy who contacted the driver and let me speak to him via a conference call. The driver told me that he had 3 more calls to do and he was going to come to my area next. I wasn”t pleased with his attitude and he said that I should give him 15 minutes and he hung up on me. I called again for the third time at 10:15 and the lady this time answered and told me that she can”t get hold of the driver and promised to keep trying until he can locate him and would call me back. She never did. I called again at 10:46 and another lady answered and spoke to the driver who she claimed the driver told her that she was unable to talk because he was with a client. I asked the lady if it was a white client, would they have made him wait this long when they were the ones who made the arrangement to be at his premises between 8 am and 10 am? She replied by saying that she would have. Well, I do believe she was lying and defending her driver and not worrying about my time at work that was being compromised, and never apologized for this amateurish and novice behavior from this company. I demand that CCD Couriers return the card back to Discovery and that Discovery must send the card back with a different and reliable courier company that knows their job and respect clients times. I demand a full apology from these amateurs in your Durban branch and don”t wish to deal with them ever again. I will also make sure that our offices never deal with your company by any chance. I will make sure of this. The driver then called me after 11am and asked me if I was home as if I was his garden boy waiting for him to give me food. He never offered any apology for my wasted time and inconvenience. Yeah, who am I fooling here, the driver is an Indian and I am black. Maybe in his opinion, that makes him think he is more superior than I am. I have also reported this matter to Discovery. A very annoyed customer (A victim of CCD Couriers novice service) Ivin A.
