Cedar Retreat Kennels

I found these sellers through puppyfind.com (my complaint is not with that company, they are the middle man). I purchased a Toy American Eskimo puppy from Beverly & Tom Jenkins (I have found other complaints for them under the company name Cedar Retreat Kennel. I picked the smallest puppy in their litter as we wanted a small dog (the reason I also agreed to pay $875 & to fly 1/2 way across the US). They were evasive when I repeatedly asked how much she weighs & when I met her at the airport she was much bigger than anticipated. At 9 weeks she was almost 6 lbs (Toy Eskimos are 6-10 lbs… even according to the info on the Jenkins’ site ( cedarretreatkennels.com/). At 12 wks. she is already 7.5 lbs… I took her to the vet & found that her medical records were either forged, falsified or that I was given the wrong dog! My dog has dew claws & the records I have on a Toy Eskimo had her dew claws removed in June. The Jenkins have been rude & insulting vs taking personal responsibility & paying the difference for the MINI I received instead of the TOY I pd for. SCAM, DISHONEST, fraud, Unprofessional AND the dog was dirty. We love her so I won’t return her but I would like fair compensation for being lied to about size & medical info. (when I questioned them about the dew claws she insisted they had been removed & then after I said the vet verified that they were never removed LIED & said rear dew claws were removed. Her lack of empathy & honesty is infuriating. They have 22 dogs… clearly that is too many since they can’t keep them straight (either that, or they blatantly lie).
