I was referred to Dr. Jeffrey Elbaum office since my own dentist was freaking out because of a really bad infection at a tooth broken off at the gum line. He was the closest office and my dentist made it seem like time was of grave importance. Immediately, I drove to Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, one of four office, this one being in Jackson. I walked in, staff said they were expecting me, but wanted me to fill out paper work. I was then led into an examination room. Dr. Jeffrey Elbaum came in followed by three assistants. The novacaine didn’t even take effect before he instructed his assistants to physically hold me down. I screamed and cried and he said “have a nice day” and walked out. My total time in that chair was less than 20 seconds. my way to the receptionist who informed me because of my insurance, there would be no charge. Two months later, I received a bill for $500 and he was not considered in my network of dentists. I reported his office to my insurance and discovered he is the network, but lied about it. .
