i just purchased a defective brand bulova new watch from certifiedwatchstore.com at about 20% discount over any other price on the internet. i am hoping their customer service is as they state, that the item can be returned. | unfortunately they state the customer is responsible for returns, even on brand new merchandise that is defective. | while i hope their customer service is otherwise responsible to refunding the price, i must say i am disappointed that the first purchase from this store turned out to be fully defective. everything looked proper, wrapping, everything was brand new, however the screw-in crown on this water resistant watch would NOT screw in after repeated attempts. and yes, this model has a screw-in crown. | there are no manufacturer warranties with certified’s products, which means they are gray market. my first purchase of a watch that is otherwise in brand new condition and packaging, but with a major defect, makes me wonder if this company stocks seconds/defective merchandise and sells it as new. | i do NOT know that is the case, and i do NOT wish to offer innuendo, however, it is a legit question in a situation such as this. | i have requested from them a return authorization and will update about the return process/customer procedure. i purchased with my bank credit card which offers customer protection against defective and fraudulent sales, which i would suggest to all, but i am hoping the store honors its website guarantees…even though i am already out the cost of sending their defective item back to them no matter what.
