We recently sold our home and bought a new one. The financing was only supposed to take 2-3 months. Well our representative over at the Cedar Road branch is was not following up with the matter and now we are paying for two mortgages. We had to seek help from USAA to finance the new home we bought. We both have excellent (Equifax – 750+) credit ratings and a six figure income between the two of us. Since Chartway’s representative took her sweet time we spent of $5,000.00 in mortgage payments we will not be re-imbursed on. We have thought about seeking legal action against the individual and credit union as a whole. Thank you USAA for helping us get back on track. Not only did they help us get back on track they refinanced the vehicle Chartway’s representative told us we were getting a great rate on. Infact the rate was so “great” at Chartway that USAA was able to save us over 2. 5% instantly on the refinance. By pulling out of Chartway we saved at least $10,000.00 in potential liabilities. Do not do business with this credit union, they’re selling to exceed their quotas not exceed their member service. The manager we worked with was pathetic as well. My wife said, “They both looked like 10 pounds of sugar in a 5 pound bag.”, and I couldn’t agree more. Why are there children running around these professional environments it was just an overall terrible experience. We have closed our 20+ year accounts with them and refinanced all of our business to USAA. BUYER BEWARE!
