This company is totally unscrupulous. My client signed up and probably didn’t read the fine print. Whatever. The materials were worthless, and requests to cancel were simply ignored. I had to threaten legal action against them to get them to finally stop charging the credit card. Here is how the scam works: You order materials you think you want for a relatively small price, thinking “oh, if they are no good, I’m only out $30.” But the default setting when you check out AUTOMATICALLY signs you up for hundreds of dollars of additional materials. You can cancel within the “trial period” — but the company does not bill you during the “trial period”, so you would never think you need to cancel. Then, the company starts charging your credit card and refuses to accept your cancellation, and asserts that they will continue to charge you because you were too late — even though you have cancelled. State attorneys general should shut down these fraudsters. .
