Horses are such magnificent creatures. They seem so regal by nature. Ever since I was a kid, I was always fascinated by horses. It seemed like they called out to me. I finally decided it was time for me to learn horseback riding. I started looking for stables near my house. After going through many stables’ website, I came across Chunky Gal Stables. After doing some research, I decided to go for it. I was so happy that I was finally going to learn horseback riding and fulfil my childhood dream. I went there for my first day of training. The beautiful training ground seemed rather dull. I finally met our instructor. He did not seem to be of the jolly kind. He talked about how important it is to know our horse and be as gentle as possible to develop a bonding. His words touched me as it seemed he cared about the horses. When it was time for the lesson to start, I saw a staff member bring out a horse on whom I was supposed to sit and learn to ride. I could not help but notice marks on the body of the horse as if something was used to beat it to instil discipline in him. I thought I must be overthinking and decided to let that thought go. I thought it would be a thing that is too cruel for someone to do. It was my turn to sit on the horse for the first time. The instructor helped me get on the horse and moved away at once I was on the horse. A cloud of fear rained down on me as I got nervous when I saw the instructor move away. The horse neighed angrily and I fell down the horse. Instead of helping me get up, the instructor came up to me and started telling me how I should have help on the horse more tightly and firmly. I decided not to argue with him, not on the very first day itself. The next few days of training were not too fun. Instead of showing me how to do basic things such as getting up, showing me how to control the horse, all the instructor did was instruct me all of theoretically. I tried my best to grasp on to the art of horse riding but could not do it, not without proper guidance and just theory lessons. It seemed as if the horses were not taken care of properly there, as the one on which I was learning to ride was growing weaker after each passing day. It was apparent that the reason my horse was so frustrated all the time that it was not getting proper treatment. One day, when I went to see my horse in the stable, I saw a staff member beating it with a whip as the horse was not eating his meal. I could not take it and stopped that guy from whipping the innocent animal. It took me some time to realize that I had chosen the wrong place. The realization came when I saw my horse being beaten mercilessly.
