At the Citi Trends location in Kalamazoo Michigan I attempted to return a pair of shoes in which I was denied. This was not the issue however. This attempt to return shoes resulted in a mouthy employee behind the counter a customer she called her cousin and another young lady she claimed as a best friend. The cousin the best friend and the employee blocked me from my 1 month old baby in stroller scooted me out the door and all three which included the employee blocked me in the doorway with my baby and stroller in the shoes still in store. This argument lasted a good 5 minutes with me being blocked in the doorway and unable to come in with my baby still in the store the employee laughed it off and sided with the cousin and best friend she never once stop the incident she never once called the cops and she never once prevented it. Furthermore, well just standing there I commented about her letting this happen in the store and told her as an employee basically she should have stopped it because even though it went as far as the lady she said as best friend hits me with another woman in front of me and my stroller still behind the 2 and still didn”t call the cops just let it happen. my stroller was then brought out by one of the women well these shoes were left in the store and the three still in the doorway I went back in to the store to grab the shoes I attempted to return a customer and myself were still arguing I then spit on the customer in result to her hitting me and last but not least because she just stood there as opposed to calling the cop and just watching in the doorway she then proceeded to watch a customer grab me by the hair throw me to the cement and kick me two times and still just watched as the two ladies went to their car and I walked off with a cracked head a scrape to my lower back and blood rolling down my face all while my newborn was there and she still didn”t report the incident but instead stood in the doorway watching I proceeded to go to Meijer grocery store not too far from there called the cops and filed a police report myself with a cracked head blood on my face and my newborn. I did not catch any of their names I did not know them either I feel the employ could have been a little more professional should have not argued with me regardless of what was said as she was on the job and should have remained professional while on the job I also feel she should have done a little more to prevent it and kicked the aggressor out and myself as opposed to standing in the doorway with the two customers who assaulted me and I feel she should have got the cops involved or at least attempted to get the cops as opposed to watching and blocking the doorway with the two customers while the two customers in the employee remained in the store and removed myself. Bought a shirt from Citi Trends and that was a present for a friend. I paid for my order and they took my money right away. I was promised quick shipping, but my order did not show up. I even received a confirmation message and a tracking number, but when I tried to use tracking it didn’t show me anything! I contacted Citi Trends customer service and they said that there was nothing to worry about, but time passed and my order was still no where to be found! I used to buy a lot of stuff from citi trends. I sent lots of my friends there for good shopping. First of all I want to say I”m a very loyal Citi Trends shopper I”ve spent thousands of dollars at your stores all along the coast yesterday I went to the Thibodaux location with a cosmetic bag I had bought at a different store the day before it was the five dollar item and I noticed when I got home it has something like glue on the bottom I tried to clean it but it did not come off when I returned it to the Thibodeau store Jamacia who was the acting manager would not take it back because she said I had damaged it by trying to clean it she called the manager twice I kept the bag and left the store I remembered I had a layaway there they waited for on five people before they ever went to get my layaway when I asked if they were going to get it out Janisha said I was not the only person in the store I worked 30 years in the retail industry and I”ve never had it rude and ugly experience like this I also feel like I was discriminated against Jamacia and Ramona who is the store manager I”ve also witnessed sitting behind the counter one night and complaining about how much they hated the job I don”t know what can be done about this but I can tell you I returned a $50 layaway yesterday because your store would not take a five dollar item that that had glue on it I also witnessed a person behind me in line whom they waited on and they would not return her items either she bought exercise or activewear clothing I also witnessed on a different occasion that they would not take pajamas back these items are not written on your receipts. Greetings Citi Trend: I just wanted to express my concerns on how the transition of our removal from Citi Trends in Louisville KY store 513 as security was handled. It was totally disrespectful to our company and insulting. The community is also not to happy about the transition and what took place. The district manager of the store who is Caucasian, I believe her name is Mary, has been playing her personnel against each other who are African American staff in an African American community. She would tell myself and my security staff in advance who she was about to fire all the way up to the manager (Anthony – Store manager in Louisville) in advance, which we thought was very unprofessional as a district manager. She would even tell us what manager she was about to fire from the other Citi Trends (Preston Store – Louisville) and how the employees were complaining about that manager (Preston Store Manager). She would talk about the employees to security. Here”s my issue, she informed several of my officers my company was being replaced because one officer would leave early at store # 513, and during the holiday a officer came in late two hours at Preston store. When I was informed, I immediately moved that officer despite the officer having permission from the store manager Anthony to leave at 9:20 after the store closed to catch his bus several times when his car broke down. And at the Preston store, that day, I came in to work once I found out the officer was going to be late. I find this to be very unprofessional also for a district manager in Louisville, KY. My officers didn”t think anything of it because I never mentioned it, and took it as more of her gossip. We were informed on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 that January 21, 2018 would be our last day. The new company (Guard – One) came to the store and held a special interview in the store on January 21, 2018 for the Officers that worked that Monday – Friday and Saturday – Sunday at the Citi Trend Store 513. The officers took the job to stay employed but were upset due to a African American company was removed to bring in a non minority company when the company that was there just gave them the best inventory they had had in years. How do you remove an African American company for poor performance and hire the exact same officers and replace the company with a non minority company? We completely turned that store around. When the new company came, they were going to put two scared white guys in the store, but the store manager Latanya stated she wanted the officers from the previous company because of the great job they did for the store and protecting the staff. Why was this store chosen? was it because of the district manager? We did our jobs and much more. The community respected us. Hi, I went into the Talladega, Al branch around 7 something Saturday night Feb 24th, After me and a family member walk down the aisle after about 10 minutes and browsed through some shirts, I hear someone yell all rudely and ghetto “We CLOSED!” Then we hear a woman laughing. Yes, Me and my aunt heard them say that but all along we were thinking they were playing because we were really thinking that the store close at 9 so we didn”t pay it any mind and continued shopping. So after 20 minutes of me picking out a load of outfits for my kids, a pregnant lady comes and say, when we were finally heading to the front, “Y”all need to exit the building.” I said dang y”all closing this early? What time is it? She said I said it earlier, I said ok, I”m sorry I thought y”all closed at 9 and I Heard you say it but I thought y”all were playing. She said, “Nah, I was dead serious” So we thought they were about to check us out, she says ” Oh we”ve already pulled the drawers, so u can”t get that!” I don”t appreciate being treated that way. I am a manager my self, customers should feel welcomed as they are ready to spend their money on your products. I am a disabled person who has to use a 4 wheeled walker or my wheelchair. I love shopping at Citi Trends but can not anymore. There is never enough room in certain sections of your stores..like the men’s section ..that a full size walker or wheelchair can not go thru the isles because of the narrowness of them. I am not able to get up and walk thro the isles due to my handicap. I wish this would change. I am sure I am not the only one who has this exact same issue. I am a regular shopper at Citi Trends, but after my last visit I”m not sure if I will evrr set foot in this store. I purchased some boxer briefs & men”s tanks, upon reaching home I quickly realized I picked up the wrong sizes. I tried to exchange the items only to be told by the rather gruff manager. “We don”t exchange underwear, it”s written there” as she gestures at the wall behind her. I explained, this is something that should be told to a customer who purchases an item that is deemed underwear. She ignores me & proceeds to attend to another customer. As an HR professional I have to acknowledge not only is this distasteful it”s extremely poor customer service. There are many stores with similar return policies, Forever 21, Windsor Store to name a few. However, here”s a tip Citi Trends… they tell their customers all about the return policy each time. In my heart I don”t think anything will be done about this but in my head I hope Citi Trends will acknowledge & adapt the policy of explaining their returm policy to EVERY customer who walks through their doors. I am currently an employee of this citi trends I have been there 6 yrs and we just got a new store manager. Today 8/30/2019 she calls our district manager Antwan because she thought I had a issue with her. So he comes and have us both in the office to talk and wants to know what the problem is. I bought a pair sandles on 7/21/17 I wore the sandles 3-times and they broke. I took them back on7/26/2017. The manager said they been worn they couldnt take them back. I bought items from Citi Trends & when I had came up to the register, the cashier asked me where the hangers were. I simply said that they were still on the racks where I had got the clothes. I brought the shoes August 16 2019 and I ask why the shoes are dirty but I am not worrying about the dirt I know someone who cleans shoes. I decided to stop by citi trends on fairview on my way home after work today. I was greeted at the door and start shopping stayed in the store about 25 minutes decided to go check our. I did a application for citi trends in Aurora Illinois on lake street and called the same day to show my interest and to be offered an interview, Sharon (the store manager) has been sending me off for 2 days saying to give her a call back at such and such time so I did until she finally decided it was ok to give me a interview, she has been keeping on hold every time I called the store as if she’s so busy but in reality she is a unprofessional son of a b**** .. going back to what caused this situation so I went in for a interview the day she asked me to come in I was on time and everything, she’s talking to me like she was for sure she wanted to hire me after I told her I had open availability for the position that she needed and she was sure she wanted to hire me. So she said she was going to do a background check on me and that I would get a email sent to me (Mind you a background check only take a few days to come back) so I’m waiting for 2 weeks and I called her about every other day to see f it came back because obviously it didn’t come to my email so everything is looking fishy by now because I’ve never had to wait weeks for a background check to come back and every time I called her she had me on hold for about 10-15 minutes just to make UP A LIE OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE SHE COULDNT BE WOMEN ENOUGH TO LET ME KNOW WHAT WAS UP! so she told me she would call me when my background check came back (week 3) I’m like seriously something is wrong because I’ve never had to wait this long so I called her today AGAIN BECAUSE I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK LIKE SHE SAID SHE WAS GOING TO DO! I call her and she’s hesitating like she’s trying to come up with a excuse, saying that it wasn’t her decision that the DISTRICT MANAGER DECIDED TO HIRE SOMEONE ELSE! I did a layway for school with all my effort getting the money, my first deposit was like 40 dollas, than They told me I have to do 2 deposit of 100 dollars by dic.04.17 and dic.18.17 well by dic.04.17 I went to pay 50 dollar only I ask the lady if I can deposit not 100 just 50 than pay the 150 by the 15 or the 18 she said yest I ask her multiple times she said yes of course ypu can do that but now I talk with the “manager” and she told me no I will lose my money and everything by sat … I”m worry because money doesn”t grow in plant and is not my fault the lady tolf me yes I can put anything now and the rest by the dic.18.17

I frequently shop at the Citi Trends located in Markham Illinois. I always find this particular store customer service skills and management to be unpleasant. Today I was in the store and the employees were openly talking about a customer as if I was not there. My frustration is this is not the first time that I have been at this location and the associates and manager openly talk and complain about the customer’s how unprofessional and tacky is that. I found that to be totally unprofessional and totally disrespectful to the customers that were in line. Not only was the coworkers discussing the customer the manager engaged in the conversation as well. I sat there for a good two minutes at the cash register before interrupting the conversation and asking can someone please ring up for my purchase! Again I always find this particular location to be an unpleasant experience. Citi Trends is a customer-driven company and it is alarming the associates have an unpleasant demeanor. I am a project manager for a Healthcare Corporation . I always have my eyes and ears open for pleasant and outgoing personality to add to my team. I believe in elevating people for career opportunities. This particular location has the worst customer service experience that I’ve ever witnessed. That type of behavior should be addressed as soon as possible because whether it’s good customer service or bad customer service it’s all a representation of the company .

I got a jump suit for my birthday it was really cute it just didn”t fit me so I went to citi trends to return the jumpsuit with the person who bought it for my birthday as soon as I stepped into the store the manager looked at me really rude and I had to wait in line to get attended when she finally did attend me she was rude I told her it didn”t fit me and she said I couldn”t return it because it was on clarance and said that they always tell everyone they can”t return clearance I told her that the person didn”t tell me that and she insisted that they did I asked what she could do about it and she said nothing I asked for at least store credit and she continued to be rude she said she can”t do nothing for me and walked away and started stocking stuff I was left there dumb founded and ignored I will think twice before shopping here again

I had 2 chief men on layaway in Marion S.C..I told my son to pick up my layaway on 8/7/19.When he brought them to me I unwrap them out the bags n they were broken in certain spots.They are very fragile items n they had them in loose bags.I went back to the store soon when I seen it.The manager told me that she can only give me store credit but no refund cause she dont know when it happen.I ask her did she checked my items in the bag before he took them out the store and she says no.Now if she didnt check my items and he bring them home broken how in the hell I cant get a refund from them not putting my items in a box or secure place.Its not my fault that they are broken and yes I do know about no refund on layaways but if a customer item is damage than yes they should be entitle to a refund!!

I just want to inform you of how rude and unprofessional the Manager treats customers. I enjoy shopping at that location because I live 3 blocks away, I will not continue to shop their any longer. Your Manager is mean and nasty every time I visit to me or someone in the store. I spoke this morning and ask why was she so cold and mean when she talks. I lived in Antioch I shop all the time at this store .MOst employe know me as a client because I”m there all the time I always bring my receipt for an exchange because they put it on the computer and take my personal information. Last month I shop there I didn”t have time to try them on lost my receipt after two days went back there they refused with attitude to listen to me or just do an exchange not even a refund the clothes still have to tag I just lost the receipt . I went back there try to speak with someone else same attitude refused to exchange because they need to receipt .Cititrend is a very big compagny I don”t anderstand why they do that when they have my info already I”m very very disappointed.For picture i can send via email doesn”t have product right now tag still attached.I want to be contact for this matter and get help for my exchange because this is ridiculous thank you.

I never thought I would leave Citi Trend. I was there so much they called me Mrs. Citi Trends. I was always looking for ways to make it better. I had a visit from a secret shopper who stayed at my store was an example of what a Citi Trends should look like. Then I became Injured but I still came back working harder than ever. It”s harder when you”re hurt to keep up but I keep going. My DM stated as long as I have a job you have a job I know what you can do and I know you can do it again. I pushed myself and ended up with a second injury. Note so easy with two injuries. But this time I came back to a 90 probation. I was told by my regional manager these people don”t know you these are all new people don”t come in here passing people telling them what to do when I was told that I had a emergency that was the best and additional 45 hours to help me get back to where the store needs to be. I was told I had a better staff which pertained of mostly managers that they kept a start up while I was gone and I should have no problem now. Later I was told I was only allowed to use 10 hours and that we had to make it work from there Per the regional manager. This associates allowing them to only work one day but I have all managers and this is the best staff that knows what to do. So I wasn”t worried until I started getting written up for things to Stephanie and I went through my business checking off things that were done taking pictures to make sure they knew it was done but it wasn”t enough it was already set in stone but I wasn”t going to be there the acting in my tea remainder acting store manager and I was written out before my 90 days was out. When you have worked so hard for a place for eight years is hard to understand that because you got hurt you were let go and he was sad to be for compliance I tried to contact the CEO Mr. Jim Dunn To explain I was not able to reach him but I left him two messages never heard back from him. Is not only customers that you have to take care of you have to make sure your associates are OK as well until you realize your associate so important they were always be a hair over town when someone dedicated their self to a company and in the end you just let them go something needs to be done. After eight years with the company I got written out in less than two months someone needs to check themselves and find out what is going on in district 22 if not the CEO then someone higher. I hope and pray this which is the right person. This is my work.

I occasionally shop at the Watt Ave./Elkhorn Location in Sacramento, CA and I want to anonymously report some questionable behavior I have witnessed from someone I believe is the store manager. I believe his name is Andre and I have witnessed overly flirtatious banter between him and a particular female employee (I cannot remember her name) clearly a subordinate of him. I don”t think it is harassment because she seems to be alright with it, but nonetheless it is pretty unprofessional and I think you should train your managers to act more professionally. I work in HR for another company and this behavior is outrageous by most standards of orderly conduct. I think his behavior puts this location at high risk for your brand. Just thought I would let you know.

I purchased 98.00 worth of boys and girls outfits on 10/2/2019 at the Hopewell Va location, The outfit in question was worn on 11/4/2019 for picture day and washed on today 11/6/2019 . Coming out of the wash it had a hole in the seam of the pants and lent all over this outfit, I tried to explain to the manager on duty Tameka the three outfits were all washed together and II even tried to she her the other outfits I had purchased in the store on the 10/28/2019 but she wanted no parts of it being very rude.I proceeded to the back of the store while telling Ms . Tameka I would be calling the customer service number on the receipt. This is not the first time this young lady has been very rude to me . The last time she was rude to me and another customer was approaching closing time and she was loud while letting the customers still shopping that it was time to leave the store. I purchased a shirt and two packs of underwear. I ask the cashier twice before I purchase it, if this isn”t the right size can I bring it back, she replied yes. Well the underwear wasn”t the right size and I didn”t open neither one of the packs. I went back the next day to return them and was told I can”t return underwear. I replied, the cashier the day before told me I could, well the manager was very rude not even looking at me, talking low and laughing with another employee replied again you can”t return underwear and is this the cashier who rang you up on the receipt that told you this, I said yes and still she said I can”t return the underwear. She act as if she didn”t care about what I had just told her. I was very disappointed, because I was giving the wrong information as a customer after I asked her twice before I purchase the item could I return them if it”s not the correct size and she said yes. I”m very disappointed, now I have two packs of underwear that is unusual and a waste of my money. That”s my first and last time shopping at citi trends.

I purchased some 8 items from this location on a layaway and tried to return them on 8/3 because my sons dress code changed at his school and he cannot wear the items I purchased and was told I could only get a store credit but you all don”t have his size uniform he wears a 4t and needs white or navy collared shirt and either navy or khaki bottoms. All tags are still attached and all of the items are unworn and I have the receipt I need to get my money back not a store credit because you all don”t carry the items my son needs.

I purchased some items for my nephews. I got all the way home and noticed the security tag was still on one of the shirts. Thankfully I don”t live super far but still if I did that would be another problem. So I take the item back to the store and approach the same young lady who rang me up and did not make sure the tag was off D. Tarrance. As I approached the counter she greeted me and I started to explain the tag was left on one of the shirts I purchased earlier that day she hurried up and removed the tag and threw my shirt on the counter for me to bag up myself. I worked in retail for years and I would never treat a customer the way I was treated today by that young lady with pink weave. I didn”t get an apology for her not removing the tag or an apology for having to come all the way back to the store because she didn”t do her job. Clearly that young lady needs to be retrained on customer service skills because she does not have them.

I shop at citi trends very often and today I went store #427 in Dallas Texas my husband and I was greeted as normal and as walked to the baby section a lady told us we needed to leave our baby bag in the front of store. That was so embarrassing it never happened before. I submitted a complaint earlier for the location on Missouri avenue in Clearwater Florida . I had a worker get aggressive with my husband while we were in line because the worker was staring us down the entire time we shopped and he didn”t even greet us at the door when we entered he gave us a very nasty look and was very unprofessional. I go to the store here once a week sometimes more and this man was new to the store. The women there i never have a problem with and they are very helpful but today they allowed this man to act out and make us very uncomfortable.
