Someone hacked into my Direct Express from
Someone hacked into my Direct Express from Comerica Bank. I lost 1300,00 but finally after a huge hassle, got it back. Because of this, I had to send them my Drivers License and Social Security numbers so they could identify me. Then after 3 days of waiting someone finally got back with me to reset my password. They gave me a temperary password and I made them stay online with me while I changed it. I was able to get online to see everything on Direct Express last night but today, they won’t let me on. So now I have to wait again for someone to call bacxk with another temperary password and go through the same stuff again. I think after this, I will have the IRS put my money in another account at a Credit Union close to home so I can just go there and have everything taken care of. Comerica Bank has gotten hacked 463 times (so far) just from contacting Consumer Affairs. This bank has no right to have anything to do with the IRS and they should know this. I just don’t trust the safety of my Widows Benefits anymore, not through Comerica Bank or Direct Express.
Husband called to check a charge on
Husband called to check a charge on the account. Which is mine, however him being the payee on the account grants me no info whatsoever. Even though I am the receving the disability. Anyway, when the csr asked for the expiry date husband casually says ” I don’t have it. The card is at home”. The csr then tells him because the card is not on his person the entire account is cancelled. Was very rude hung up on husband. When I called they refused to let me speak to any supervisor. This is how they operate a government agency for people with disabilities? Some of us depend on that money that we worked for anyway – to pay bills or buy food. And someone can refuse to offer any assistance because I am on disability? I can get absolutely no answers? My entire account cancelled because the card was not in his wallet? And people wonder what has happened to the kindness we used to show each other.

Comerica Bank has the same policies in place for checking accounts as Wells Fargo. Recently there was a Federal Judge that awarded Wells Fargo customers over 200 million dollars from unfair trade practices. To be specific, Comerica processes all transactions in a checking account from largest to smallest regardless of when the transaction took place. Any check that comes in to your account gets paid first ahead of any Visa Check Debits regardless of what you may have seen on the banks online register. Largest to smallest paid checks can wipe out a persons checking account by charging extreme amounts of fees. Can you imagine having thirty Visa Check Debit transactions over two days being circumvented by one large check that comes into the account? A single check mistake can wipe out a persons bank account and create a financial nightmare. The banks policy was a result of focus groups that were asked what would they rather have and the result was pay the larger check over any smaller amounts. There is no way anyone would agree to 30 transaction fees wiping out a checking account at 37.00 each by paying one large check. Banks like Amegy Bank process their customer transactions properly. They process all Visa Check Debits first then debits followed by checks. Amegy Bank processes largest to smallest but checks are processed last which is what real customer service is all about. Amegy still understands that I am a customer and their business practices confirm that. So as you can see I am making my bank Amegy bank and goodbye Comerica.

I am in a dispute with California regarding an vehicle they claimed was located and driven in their state during 2014. The auto was actually in Michigan and registered in MI during that period. CA incorrectly was trying to collect vehicle registration fees, plus penalties. Comerica allowed CA to levy $1, 704 out of my account. I now have no leverage to resolve the matter. When Comerica let CA take the funds, they over-drafted my account and now charging it a $6 daily over-draft fee. Comerica never informed me they were doing this. I found out when they said the account had a negative balance. By the way, I am a 30 plus year customer.

I am very upset. I have worked for Smith Mandel & Associates, LLP as Office Manager for over 15 years. I have been doing the deposit and the deposit slip the same for those 15 years. Your teller Gayan Tutyan from the San Fernando Branch in Burbank CA was most condescending and unpleasant person to deal with. She proceeds to tell me how the deposit slip should be filled out and she kept saying the same instructions three times, like she speaking to an idiot (you know like really slow like talking to nit wit) is beyond my scope of tolerance. Then just today I go back in to make another deposit and unfortunately, I get her again. Again, talks to me like I am an idiot yet again but she says I have at least filled out the slip like she wanted them filled out. She says she need to add up my checks first before I can get my receipt. She starts and I have seen teller that know how to 10 keys, which would be no problem, but she is not one of them. By that time, I have had enough and I start complaining. I have never had one of your tellers ever do that to me. She has my receipt right in front of her, so she automatically hands it to me with a laugh and a sarcastic have a nice day. I am extremely angry! If this was my personal bank, I would never return!! but unfortunately this is work. I will have to return but you can guarantee that I will never go to her again. If these girls is new she needs more training on her people skills or she needs to find another line of work. The other girls are great but one bad apple can ruin it for all!! I spoke to an Armen Martirosyan that justified her rude behavior and whom was getting quite loud with me. He was sorry but saw nothing wrong in anything she did and that he is trying to be nice to me. Not once apologies for her behavior. He gave me another number because there is nothing he can or will do. So, if I wanted to go higher with my complaint I can but as far as he is concerned this Gayan is a five star.

I awoke to pay my online bills and the website was down. Then I went to pump gas and my card was declined. So I went to the local branch and they said it would be fixed by nine am. That didn”t happen. I called the manager who”s name shall not be mentioned and he or she said eleven am. That was another letdown. They was until one pm before I had access to my bank account. I had a business bank account for over a year with Comerica because they could support our California and Michigan offices. Well the time came to get an address updated and new debit cards. The Comerica rep asked me for paperwork that they lost, so I went and got the paperwork for them and then they didn’t follow up. I called, called, called then finally the same reprensentative in the branch in Clarkston, Michigan answered and said she can’t speak with me and the manager would call me. The manager called and said we have to terminate the relationship. I did nothing wrong, so I was very confused. I escalated the situation and everyone was the same..very short with responses and zero reason given. So we moved our account to another bank and filed a complaint with the Attorney General. I’ve never been treated so poorly as I was by the representatives at Comerica Bank in Clarkston, Michigan.

I had a Direct Express Card that I received my monthly Social Security Benefits on. Comerica Bank manages these cards. I recently lost my card and called them for a replacement. I was told that a “flag” had been put on my account but the agent did not know why it was flagged. I called for two (2) days appx. 10 to 15 times each day and got a message saying they were experiencing heavy call volume and call back and then disconnected. When I would finally get in line I would hold 15 to 20 minutes and then be disconnected. I eventually spoke to another agent that told me to got to a Social Security office (20) miles away and ask them to file a MOU process. The agent did not know what it was but that was what I had to do. Social Security said they had never heard of this MOU and there was nothing they could do. After another 4 or 5 hours I got another agent on the phone and he said the same thing and then hung up. I called Social Security and they said come back in and they would call Direct Express and get it taken care of. They did get results but why did it take (2) days, hours on the phone and (80) miles of driving to do something so simple. I have dropped this card and having direct deposit to a local bank

I have never been treated so badly by any “customer service” rep. Her name was Nelly, she was beyond rude. In fact, I have never been treated that badly in my life. WIll be contacting BBB to let them know what kind of business this bank is running. Not only did Comerica not send me out a new card before mine expired, they then said they were Rushing a card to me and I should get it in 4 days… A week later still no way to get money from my account besides having to actually deal with the horrible service in the bank. I called and card services said they manager at the Comerica Bank here in Arizona NEVER actually had a new card sent out to me. So now I have to wait another 7-10 days before I can get “another” card. I have been with this bank for 26 years and am no longer able to stand the lack of customer service this bank offers. What bank can”t issue a temp. replacement ATM card?

I opened an account for business at Comerica and as always I say exactly what my business does. At first everything seemed fine, but then I was questioned as to my banking along with my finance manager was basically called a scammer. I keep record of every bit of money comes in and out of any account I hold. I do a monthly report. I keep all bank statements and records. Even when I said who helped me start my business it was assumed that person was a scammer. I was what the hell is this? The person who helped me is quite rich and famous. I don’t solicit on the internet for business. I don’t take solicitations on the internet. So the bank scares one of my clients. My client stops payment on a check and sends the money to one of my other accounts. Comerica charges a bounced check fee. Ummm sounds a bit lucrative to me. To make a long story short they held my cash until I did a demand for payment. Then I get a call to come get my cash. Really this is the world of banking in the USA? Banks can do anything they please even stop incoming and outgoing payments to people in need? Principle of the matter needs to be allowed in court. I don’t think these kinds of events would occur in banking. Good thing I wasn’t hurt financially, but had I been I would be in court.

I used the ATM machine at my local Comerica branch. The machine did not give me the money. I reported this immediately to the bank. The people at the branch were unable to help me. The bank took the money out of my account. The ATM is serviced by a third party, so the branch manager and tellers all told me that there is nothing they can do. They said “they will look into it”. They were unable (or unwilling) to explain to me what “look into it” means or when the problem might be resolved. They said that if their investigation goes well, I might be able to get my money back in 10 business days. They were unwilling to provide me with contact information within Comerica Bank so that I could pursue the matter further. They were unwilling to provide me with contact information on where I can file a complaint. Their machine kept my money, and that”s about it. I”m out of luck and out of $200. I have banked at this branch for 10 years. They all know me and until yesterday, I had good relations with the people at this branch. I asked them to put an out-of-order sign on the machine and call for service. They were unwilling to even do that. They just said, sometimes this happens and with any luck, it will work out eventually. I asked them to look at the security camera tape to verify that the money did not come out of the machine. They said they could not do that. In essence, there is no way for me to prove my claim that I did not get the money out of the machine. They”re just going to keep it.
