We hired consolidated contractors on February 18th 2014 to finish our basement, for the sum of $28,885.00 to date we have paid $24,000.00 and the project is less than half finished. The project manager Lamar Wilson has used one excuse after another as to why he hasn’t finished. Now he won’t return any phone calls, are say just what his intention are. Lamar Wilson (P M) hasn’t been very truthful about the situation, like saying he took out a permit on the project, when in fact he didn’t. We had another builder come in and tell us what it will cost to finish the project, and that figure is $15,000.00, we only owe $5,000.00 with consolidated contractors, however we can’t find the company. We have 3 different addresses and all are bogus, several phone numbers and only one number he will respond to by way of texting. We have been going around and around since May when the P M stop the project, because I complained about a bedroom door being 24 inches wide, the trim being the wrong color and the bathroom shower not being tile among other things. To his credit he did fix the shower tile, however I had too pay his worker $400.00 to fix the bedroom door, that was on September 29th, an no other work has been preformed since then. I’m really tired of this company and all the lies the P M makes. I reported the company to BBB but they are not a member, so there wasn’t anything they could do So if I can get some help from you guys, it would be greatly appreciated, please let me know if you need to see the contract are any other documents, I will gladly furnish them!!!
