We have been following Consumer Affairs for a while. We run a successful tech support company for consumers similar to Geek Squad. They have a tech support section www.consumeraffairs.com/tech-support-services/ where we reached out to them to see if we could get listed on this section. They got a sales representative on the phone and they said how they could bring a ton of traffic to our website. We made it clear that we already had a 99% 5 star rating with sites like Yelp, Google, etc. They kept saying they would get us more reviews. They then told us it would only be $2000 a month to get listed on there!

We were blown away. Why would it cost money to have a company with hundreds of 5 star independent reviews on there??? So all the businesses on there are paying 2k a month so they can be listed and they are all bottom of the barrel companies. Which means the consumer only gets to see the worst companies out there and they think they are independently reviewed. Consumer Affairs only lists people that pay them money and they think they are advocating for the consumer.
