I am a licensed psychologist and use a nonjudgmental, humanistic approach and create a safe environment in which you can heal and grow. My primary treatment approach involves using horses as part of the treatment team and is experiential in nature. I am accredited under EAGALA. Adolescents, adults, and seniors with depression, anxiety, social skills deficits, relationship issues, grief, and transitions such as empty nest, divorce, move, and career change will benefit from exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with my treatment team: Peggy Jordan, an equine specialist, and my two horses.Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy is a treatment where individuals interact with horses in a variety of activities. Many personal and relationship issues arise when working with horses. EAP is beneficial in the treatment of behavioral issues, attention deficit disorders, abuse issues, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and communication needs.EAP also is very powerful for relationship issues between romantic partners, between parents and children/adolescents, and within the whole family. Patterns of behavior that can be systemic or between two people emerge as you and your partner/parent/child work with horses to accomplish certain tasks.
