I received an email during my moving sale: Hello there! My name is Monica and I work for Craigsloft. I saw your ad online for the furniture you have for sale and we would love to have it in our show room. The purpose of our company is to take the danger and stress out of having people in your home looking at items you have for sale. A lot of people want to haggle, and that may not be every ones strong suite. So we gladly take care of it for you. We do not charge up front, and there is a small fee when and if your item sells. Unlike most consignment stores that charge you 50%, we only charge 20% and you recieve your check in about a week. You still maintain all the control of the pricing and bottom dollar of your item and you are always welcome to come by the store and check on everything. We offer pick up and delivery services for those who do not have a large truck or the muscle to load it. We have had several clients that had to move in a hurry, did not like giving out their address or had items in storage. Instead of paying for storage, let it be in our show room for up to 3 months for free! Please contact me if you are interested in hearing more or scheduling a pick up. Thank You! Nobody showed up. At the end of the day, I was given an apology and rescheduled for the next day. 2 guys (This company found on Craigslist) showed up in a UHAUL and were rushing me so they could leave. Long story short…. No word from them after four days… so I tried to ask… On Fri, May 9, 2014 at 9:57 AM, Hi Monica! Just wanted to see how things were going with my furniture… Could you send me a list of what you have of mine and the price? Emailed “Monica” and asked her for an itemized list of MY stuff…. This is the actual email: Hi Jennifer! Your items are still on the backroom, the movers broke some things and we are fixing them. Don’t worry, we are taking care of it and it will not affect your prices. I will be in the office again tomorrow and I can get that over to you. Could you possibly send me a ball park list of what you wanted for some of the items? That would speed up the process a little bit. Thank You! So I contacted Monica because I was going to get my brown sofa on Thursday (today) This is what she said, “David (the owner) and I are not in the office.. we are BOTH sick until Tuesday!”… WOW! I thought… So my stuff hasnt been listed, it is broken, nobody is even IN the store…. Enough said…. Going to try to get this resolved. I don’t have the funds to hire a truck, movers, rent a storage shed now, and all quickly!!! .
