My kids were on their vacations and wanted to go somewhere nice to have some fun so we decided to go to the Creative Discovery Museum and ended up having a boring day. I visited Chattanooga explicitly to visit the museum. This place has a limited amount of stuff for children of any age to do…kids who are 4 and under have a closed-off territory that allows them do their thing and the older kids are not allowed there which was troublesome for us because my older son couldn\’t go and play inside that specific play area. My kids didn\’t enjoy the music zone because it had very few musical instruments and they were also broken. They have a very small stage where the kids play and put a mini show of their own but it is so congested that it gets difficult for the kids to be comfortable. They even rent out space for birthday parties and for that reason the normal customers don’t get to enjoy at the fullest because that specific area of the museum is blocked. I have a lot of complaint about their water play area. The water in the area was dirty and stinky. It seems as if they don’t change the water regularly. The higher-ups at the museum should take note of this because contaminated water can spoil the kid’s health. The jungle gym gives a very spooky and scary feeling and they should try to make it more appealing and interesting to make the kids more involved. The snack bar is another disaster. They don’t have a lot of variety of food options on their menu card and the prices are too high. We ordered a burger and the meat inside was stale and stinky. The ingredients they use seem expired and the taste of the food is really bad. Their chefs don’t know how to cook. It is better to buy food from outside instead of wasting your money at this place. The science shows that take place at the museum are not very informative and are not educational. They were short at staff and they did not attend us when we needed assistance. When we stopped one of the staff and inquired him about something he talked down to us and was very rude. When we complained about him to the manager he sided with the employee and did not pay heed to anything we said. The whole staff and the management are inconsiderate and rude. I experienced the most abhor able customer service ever. I lost one of my expensive rings at the lobby and never got it back. They offer a discount which is only for members. Visitors don’t get to enjoy any refund or discounts. Overall, the quality of food and experience both were terrible. There are way better fun places to go to than this museum so you shouldn’t waste your time and money. I am never coming back here.
