I have been having problems with the back up camera (picture blurry or no picture at all) of my 2012 Ford Escape within 6 months of purchase (I purchased it in March of 2015) I have taken it in a minimum of 4 times within the last year all for the back up camera issue. Once they didn’t see the problem as it was only happening sporadic, another time they fixed the problem, another time they replaced the whole camera system and this last time they contacted Ford Company and asked for help with trouble shooting the problem. It was determined that it was the rear view mirror that housed the picture screen that needed replaced. The replacement would not be in the dealership until the 18th or 19th of July so I took the Escape home over the weekend. I was to get a call when the part came in (again I was guaranteed it would be in the 19th—it was already ordered). Since a week went by without a call from Day Ford, I called on the 25th to see what was going on/if the part was in, to be told that the parts department needed to research the part and I would get a call back within an hour or two (no call) today I called and left a message along with my number (no call) This is awful that the dealership I purchased the vehicle from (and the extended warranty along with remote starter) will not return a customers call.
