First Under No Circumstances buy a Delonghi product. After dealing with their customer service department and talking to their service centers they have very littler to no concern for their customers. I live in Minnesota and they have no service centers. The closest one is in Ohio and soon that center will no longer deal with the company. I was told by this service center that it is very difficult to work with Delonghi. That could be the reason there are so few service centers in the U.S. I bought a Delonghi dehumidifier and after 6 months it stopped working. I had to pay $45 to ship it to NJ in order to receive another unit. That unit lasted only 4 months before it stopped dehumidifying. The company refused to pay for the return shipping on that unit, so I am left with a $250 nonworking unit. The Ohio service center told me that they are a Italian company that has no concern for their customer. Once you buy their product, good luck getting any customer service in case your product fails. Before you buy a Delonghi consider other manufactures and check their their return policies and consult the web regarding their customer service history.
