Bought what I thought was a great car for a good deal. They assured me it was in great shape and added a 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty for major issues (engine, transmission, drive train, etc.). I asked to see the warranty before I bought the car and they told me that they had to purchase the warranty to show it to me and couldn’t do that until the deal was in place with a $600 deposit. I should have walked away right there, but I trusted them to be telling me the truth. When it got here the A/C blower fan was broken. Found out they knew about it before they shipped it and shipped it anyway. The first time we drove the car we noticed a vibration that seemed off so we took it to a friend’s dealership to get it looked over. While they were test driving it, the u bolts for the drive train broke and the drive train fell to the ground doing $4000 worth of damage on it’s way. The warranty, which was supposed to cover major issues like engine, drive train, etc. has a 90 day waiting period on it that they never disclosed and I wasn’t able to read it until I had bought the car. We’ve had the car for 3 days. Tried to get them to work with me to help with a fraction of the cost ($1250 of $4000). They were incredibly responsive when I was buying the car, but I had to call back every day frequently to finally get a hold of them when they knew I had a problem. Mike sold me the car and Ryan was the one I talked to when I called about the problems. He said they couldn’t do anything and blamed the problem on my friend’s dealership. These guys have worked everything to put you at complete risk from day 1 for anything wrong with the car and they have none. My friend said it’s legal, but it’s just sad that they have no integrity. He would never do this to someone and he sells used cars all the time. Do not buy a car from Discovery Auto Enterprise in Houston. You may get lucky. But if you don’t, it’s all on you to figure it out. I’m reporting them to the Attorney General, the Texas Motor Vehicle Commission, and the Better Business Bureau. .
