Domestic One came to clean my mother”s apt of 1700 sq feet on 23 June 2017. The charges were $480 for 3 persons for 4 hours. The scope of works as highlighted by the staff I called was comprehensive and included cleaning of kitchen cabinets and external light fittings. This is my first time engaging a “professional cleaning co” as i thought they would be able to clean hard to access places like light fittings and external windows. I was willing to pay a premium price to get “professional cleaners” to do a thorough job. Boy was I wrong! 3 Malay staff that were fasting came and did not complete the work. One of the staff misrepresented and told me that he had cleaned all the fans and light fittings. As they were cleaning the kitchen when I arrived, I managed to check most of the areas but missed checking the light fittings that were still covered with layers of dust in the 3 bedrooms as I trusted what the staff said (I had checked that the light fittings in the living room had been cleaned). The floor was also very dusty when I came I but I told myself so long as they had cleaned the other areas, I could easily mop the floor again. The staff hastily left after they “cleaned” the kitchen. After 1 week, I went back with my parents who had come back from overseas. I realised that the light fittings in the bedrooms were still covered with thick layers of dust and one stack of kitchen cabinets were completely untouched! Also, the cooker hob (which I saw one of the staff cleaning) was still covered with thick grease. I called the management staff to highlight the light fittings. I was shocked that the staff insisted that since it was more than 24 hours, any feedback will not be entertained. (He had not informed me of this perviously). He said I had to pay extra $60 for transportation for his staff to come and clean the light fittings. I appealed to him to waive the charges as the cleaners had failed to deliver the scope of works. He remained unrelenting. I then told him that I will feedback this lack of service and he said go ahead. Im shocked at his attitude. I also tried calling him at least 5 times after my feedback at various times. Every time I called his handphone, it went into an engaged mode, shutting me completely out from communicating with him. I never had problem calling him previously. My SMS to him also remains unanswered till today. I would like to warn everyone about the poor service and unacceptable attitude of this company. The charges do not commensurate with the service. The company has failed to deliver what it promises, has been misleading and shows no effort to resolve its shortcomings. Save yourself from all the frustration and poor service. I attach some photos to show the layers of dust on the light fittings in the 3 bedrooms and other miscellaneous photos (showing dust on my feet within seconds of entering the apartment).
