Dr. Deborah Heim

I have been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist for 20 years. I have worked with people who experience trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addiction, personality disorders, to name just a few. I work with adolescents and adults. I provide individual, marriage/pre-marital, family and group counseling. Therefore, I believe that I can offer a broad range of counseling training and experience.I treat the individual holistically, integrating the mind/body/spirit through cognitive-behavioral techniques, with a relational focus. The goal is through greater self-awareness, in a supportive environment, one can make new choices. This can allow an individual to reprogram old beliefs from the past and create new healthier messages in the presentI strongly believe that change can only occur in an environment that fosters trust and safety. Through a strong professional relationship, this can allow one to feel a greater sense of security, thereby allowing one to face situations/events that they may have not been able to outside the therapy environment
