Dr. Michael Pendleton a local doctor has been caught legally after operating his practice outside the periphery of law. The doctor has promoted pain management as his arena of treatment and has been the subject of two KRIS 6 news investigations by the Texas Medical Board.
Recently it has been found that he has been running an unregistered pain management clinic. Over there he was prescribing narcotic pain medication like hydrocodone to all the patients. The drug is absolutely illegal yet he went on prescribing it to his patients.
He made a deal with the Texas Medical Board which reads that he can’t prescribe narcotic pain medication for at least a year. There are certain terms which have been levied against him. At first, he has to pay a fine of $12,000, take proper classes and finally pass an exam on Texas Medical law within a year of his registration.
If by any chance he fails to meet the requirements then his license can be suspended. The broad for a very long time has been investigating this matter along with US Drug Enforcement Administration agents which have also undergone a raid inside his clinic.
Dr. Michael has advertised pain management by showing several footages from 2014. It shows that people are lining up outside the clinic to see the doctor. Some people were seeing sleeping overnight to see the doctor in the morning. According to the Pendleton, the crowds were due to the shortage of doctors in the Coastal Bend.
Though the medication was prescribed properly but it wasn’t registered with the State to deal with these medications.
