JoAnn Nieto was strangely shocked and taken aback upon encountering a racist comment that a Colorado doctor had made about the First Lady Michelle Obama, while browsing through her Facebook feed.
Michelle Herren who works at Denver Health Medical Center, posted an unflattering picture of FLOTUS in response to a status and commented saying that she didn’t seem to be speaking too eloquently and thanked god for not being able to hear her.
Herren had posted this in response to a status that Nieto’s friend wrote to praise Obama.
The doctor continued with her comment on the post saying that all the liberals considered Harvard as a place for the entitled folks.
She made this statement as Michelle Obama is a Harvard Law and Princeton University graduate.
She made an ugly statement by saying that the first lady had a face like that of a monkey and had
poor ebonic English!
She still said that she was not being racist here but was just posting the truth.
Nieto felt bad over the situation and was surprised to see that Herren served as a Denver Health doctor to a large number of people.
She shouldn’t be one among the people who spend their time trolling on social media.
On Wednesday, Nieto told the Daily News that she wonders how the doctor finds time for all this.
Herren works in the children’s department as an anesthesiologist and is known to be an assistant professor at the University Of Colorado Denver School Of Medicine.
Nieto also complained to the CU Board of Regents saying that the act was outrageous and on top of that, the doctor is unapologetic.
Herren took down her Facebook page and removed her comment post that.
Herren told KMGH-TV that her comment was taken otherwise and she didn’t think her monkey face comment was racist.
Denver Health spokesperson, Kelli Christensen, gave a statement to the News reporters saying that Michelle Herren will not be checking patients or providing anesthesia at Denver Health Medical Center for the time being.
The Denver Health revealed that the doctor earned $363,000 as salary and has been working at the clinic since 2007.
