A Madera doctor’s license has been suspended by the authorities at the Medical Board of California because he did not pay the required taxes. According to the details mentioned, Dr. Todd David Spencer’s license was suspended on Jan. 17 this year.
He has apparently been subjected to taxation Code section 7063. This code section states that any person/ licensee who is liable to pay and has not paid over $100,000 to the state Franchise Tax Board or Board of Equalization, and appears on either agency’s top 500 tax delinquency list, should be denied of application and his/ her license, certificate and registration should be suspended.
If the balance is still not paid or the payment arrangement is not made within a period of 90 days, the delinquent’s license is suspended. The license is not granted back until a release is given from the FTB or BOE.
Dr. Todd David Spencer has been listed in this category and the records state that he has not paid a huge amount which accounts for tax. His license was thus suspended soon after the matter came into light. The license is expected to be granted back only after he pays all dues and fines imposed on him.
