My Bad Experience with Property Builders “DS-MAX” There are thousands of builders currently in operation in India and in particular Bangalore. Throw a stone and dozens will be waiting in a queue to fetch you to the so called “Project site”. Everyone claims to be professional and also promise to have been involved in scores of projects that has been successfully marketed. None of us, especially NRIs, don’t have time to explore these details and are just carried away by the marketing gimmicks in the name of property shows arranged overseas. I see no professionalism in them.

They are mainly money minded and has the very bad intention of making money within a short period. They know that the property market is not going to last long and hence they are trying all their best to woo their customers and pull them unnecessarily into legal problems and wash thier hands away. There are thousands of victims each day and i am one of them.

Once you are pulled into any complications, believe me, you would not know how to solve them. Worst if you are an NRI, like me. Bet you, thousand miles away from home, you are lost completely. No clues!! I am currently undergoing very bad experience with this particular builder, DS-MAX builders. They were selling this project “Canara Residency” some even months ago at Singapore Expo.

I met these guys, Dilip and Santosh, from DS-MAX at that property show in Singapore. They talked very nicely and tried to gain my confidence. At that time in a hurry, like any other, to invest in something meaningful back in India, i booked a villa. I paid Rs.2Lakhs as booking fees and then another Rs.4lakhs. It has been more than 7months and so far nothing has happened. They have not even registered the plot under my name and every time i tried to call them, they don’t answer my phone calls and never replied to my emails promptly. I tried to wait patiently because they said the land registration is due this month(November 2007) end. When i tried to follow up, due to curiosity, i was informed that there is a emwith the particular site that i booked. And they started to ask me to take another plot instead.

I am the very few persons who had booked a site during the launch of this project. I decided on this site as my family members were happy with the location. Now they are trying to throw something that is left over. I am trying my hard to get back my Rs 6 lakhs. I had learnt a very hard lesson. Be careful with this builder DS-MAX in particular and any other builders for that matter. Particularly NRIs, “You got to be very careful and don’t just be carried away by overseas property shows”
