eGumball is a company of fraudsters and scammers which earns its money by stealing people’s hard earned money. In my 35 years of experience, I have never seen such heartless people that eGumball has. This company stole $2000 from me!
So it all started back in 2015, when I listed my furniture store on Google Maps. I was a marketing professional and knew how to optimize my online listing, but due to personal issues and business pressure, I was not able to take out the time from my schedule to do so. So I started looking for marketing agencies that can get the job done. However, I did not have much money back then and had a limited budget; therefore, I was looking for an agency which is affordable. After a month I was contacted by one of the eGumball’s representative. He claimed that he noticed my Google Maps listing and claimed that he can get me in the top search results. I was quite happy to hear that as I wanted to get some customers for my business. He told me that it will cost me $199 per month to stay in the top 5 results of Google and to be honest; it was quite affordable for me at the time. I agreed on the pricing and we discussed the keywords, etc. He said that I don’t have to pay him in advance and the money will be deducted on a quarterly basis.
After 30 minutes on call I was satisfied with the services he offered me and I was excited for my new Google ranking, however, after all the discussion he said that there will be a small one-time fee of $500 for registration and because I was so happy at the moment I agreed to pay him the money. I gave him my credit card information and he said that I will be contacted by my project manager shortly and he will deduct the money in the next two weeks. A week passed and I did not receive a single call from any one, so I contacted their customer support and told them about my project and issue. They simply ignored everything I said and told me to wait for another week because apparently my project was “very advance” and needed extensive research. I was a little shocked to hear this as there are only a couple more furniture shops in my area and as an ex-marketing professional, I know how difficult SEO is. Anyways, I waited another week, still got no response. I contacted the customer support AGAIN and this time they didn’t even pick up my call. I called them several more times until I finally gave up. I contacted my credit card company to stop the transaction from eGumball and they told me that the transaction was processed two weeks ago (on the same day I received the phone call) and moreover they took me $1000 instead of the $500 which was discussed. eGumball stole my money and delivered nothing! Stay away from them; they are just imposters who know how to deceive people.
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. SCAM!
One more of the many scam phone calls which dominate the incoming calls to my business phone daily.
DO NOT WASTE ANY MONEY WITH EGUMBALL, COMPLETE CROOKS.
