Exmoor Caviar sold by London Fine Foods Group has skillfully convinced so-called caviar connoisseurs to buy their product. Their business arose during a time when there was and still is a gap in the market regarding the sourcing of sturgeon caviar from native waters as Russia has a 15 year ban on exports (in order to cultivate sustainable caviar) and Iran suffers from being the media’s pariah state of the world.

The husband-and-wife team, combining their PR, marketing and logistics knowledge have manufactured a successful brand that has not been questioned nor challenged. In the process of maneuvering the public into accepting their caviar and manufacturing trust, they have made themselves guilty of cultural and species appropriation.

Caviar belongs to faraway, exotic lands and nobody has the right to steal it and call it their own, profiting from one countries refusal to export and the other’s hampered ability to do so due to economic sanctions.

But soon, Britain will become a pariah state as well following BREXIT. Britain who wishes to bar refugees and freedom of movement of peoples to her lands. Britain who permits Exmoor to be cultural, xenophobic thieves.
