Experian uses deceptive tactics to charge unsespecting consumers one dollar for their credit report and then later charges $21.95 for a credit check service after a “7-day trial period. Experian has been sued in the past and continues this deceptive practice. I feel that it is the duty of our government to stop this type of action that preys on consumers. Over 400 complaint were filed on several websites about this practice. It is about time that someone puts an end to these companies perpousfully deceiving consumers. For some reason it seems that consumers in this country are indefesible when it comes to this type of activity. As a veteran of the military, I am outraged that the US government allows its citizens to be victims and stands by and repetedly allows this type of behavior. .

This company advertised online I could get
This company advertised online I could get a credit check for $1. I said ok —I didn’t want any additional information from this company and I did not authorize any additional money to be taken out of my account. 07-09-2015 charged the $1 no ODF 07/09/2015 charged $39.95 plus it overdrew my account which costs me $25 $64.95 07/24/2015 charged again for $21.95 and it also kept my account in worse condition adding another $25 again $46.95 Total of illegal charges and fees $111.90—– I have emailed them, called them and nothing. I am getting the same result from this company which is no refunds of anything. I am freaking out right now because I am like totally empty on gas in my car and I have no money left to get any. I am really upset about this and somebody needs to get to the bottom of this horrible company causing so much harm to the people they are supposed to help.
Expwrion seems to be all about
Expwrion seems to be all about you paying, also the accessor payig, therefore, they areusing an unjust means of business. All they do is collect money, with out representing the one applying for credit. We own our home, our vehicles, and have enough cash to get a securedd credit card. I am 60. I always thought that by not having any credit card debt was a good thing. Meaning IF i got a credit card, you would be assured to be paid promptly. Evidently that is not how the credit world works now. As with alll the defeats our country has had in the last6-7 years, this is just the cherry on top. My Nam vet husband died 18 yrs. ago after 2 above the knee amputations, and 3 yrs. on dialysis, I did at homw 4 X’s a day. I buried his and my only son,31 the day after Katrina Hit. I now wish It had ben me, rather than see myself work so hard to build up credit, after all those hospital bills, my COUNTRY would not help on. 20 years later, after I went 12 years withouot medical coverage, and living on less than $700 a month they back payed, after they created a new form of filing for benefits. I swore I would not let anyone put me in that kind of situation again. I can even get a “secured credit card for $2-3,000. I won’t because it is not right.God will provide for me, as I pray for the wholecollapse of the financial credit thru thestock exchange fall. I pray to God and Jesus, if this is how they handle the funds God has entrusted to this country, that He allows it to plummet. I know how to live with out anything but my survival instincts. Those who make decisions like you have made on me,deserve their own, losses. i killed a 10 button rattlesnake at the end of last summer, meaning, if you don’t KNOW, it was 10 yrs. old. My grass is now waist high, I just wanted to start revolving credit with a loan on a LAWNMOWER, NEVER realizing, howlittle people like me are to people like you. You are wrong. Your decision was wrong. By the way did you even have in the credit report the $5,000 loan from Hancock Bank in Picayune, Ms. 39566Memorial Blvd. We paid $175.00 a month for 3 years, with not 1 day late. 3 years.3 years.3years. How does this not even be considered? Was this even reported to you? It was paid off inMay/2015. I can get a loan on it again, I choose to get a credit card. What is wrong with you people. Hello I had an account with Experian
Hello I had an account with Experian and was advised that my 14.95 monthly fee was due and that experian was unable to process the 14.95 monthly charge. I explained to the representative that i simply wanted to cancell this account. The representative advised me that there was a new account reporting on my credit report. I expalined that this was a issue because I had not authorised any new accounts on my credit report. Can I know please who is the new account reporting on my credit report? yes the representative stated, pay the 14.95 log into your account and you will be able to identify , who the new account is on your credit report. Ok fine I advised take the 14.95 off of my debit card and advise me , who is reporting on my credit report. The agent collected the 14.95 off of my card. I went into the experian web sight while i was on the phone with the agent. I do not see a new account reporting on the experian credit report, I advised. That is because it is only reporting on your equifax and tran union credit report. If you want to view them you need to pay another 32.95 on top of the 14.95 that you already paid. No im not going to do that , i expalined just go ahead and cancell the account. I will go ahead and pull the other 2 reports for you for 14.95 if you wish, then you can see who the new company is reporting on your credit report. Ok fine , go ahead and take the additional 14.95 off of my credit card and advise me of who the new company is reporting on my credit report. The agent collected the 14.95 while i was on the telephone and pulled the trans union and equifax reports. I still do not see any new accounts reporting on this credit report, can you help me out here. Mr williams i apologise , there’s no new account reporting on your credit report. Please forgive my mistake. No problem mam , can you credit me back the 29.90 that you just took from my account? Sorry Mr Williams we can not refund you even if we lied to you. Please except htis apology in lieu of your 30.00 dollars and have a great day. The agent disconected the call. I called back spoke with a Supervisor named Ruby , she supported the representative, Experian will not refund your money back to you , even when we lie to accumalte the money. mam do you know that lying over the phone to collect a credit card payment can be considered wire and trasfer fruad. Experian protects us from the law when we lie to our customers Mrs. Ruby the Supervisor stated before hanging up on me. Experian is a company that manage the credit file of millions of americans, to allow experian agents to participate in fraudulant practices to collect money by credit card over the telephone, is going to create a much greater issue if we allow these small inpropriaties to go unaddressed.
I went on annualcreditreport.com. That is
I went on annualcreditreport.com. That is set up by the government. I never even received an Experian report. I paid one dollar to see my score two months later I have been charged twice by Experian The phone number just keeps you stuck in a cycle of messages. Once making contact with Experian they refused to give back my money they stole. This is ridiculous I cannot imagine if I was elderly or did not have time to hunt these thieves down.
Ordered all three of my credit reports
Ordered all three of my credit reports online for $32 and a charge of $14.95 showed up a week later. When you order the reports for them, even though you paid for them, they put you on a “free” one week trial. After one week they start to bill you for the credit monitoring. They will cancel membership if you call however, you won’t be able to get your initial fee returned. Really a despicable practice and I will never do business with them again.
I had to pay a $1 one
I had to pay a $1 one time fee for a trial membership with experian so i could obtain a payday loan. i repeatedly told the agent i did not want any continuing membership. i was repeatedly assured that would not happen. i emailed experian several times and told them to immediately cancel my membership as soon as the payday loan confirmed my credit with them (same day). i just saw experian charged my checking account $29.95 for membership which i emailed them several times telling them i did not want. i spoke with their phone agent and supervisor, Bella, today, and they refused to refund the charge. this is theft by deception. they stole $29.95 out of my checking account without notifying me and without my approval. i now see online, they do this all the time. how can they get away with this?
Experian.com is a dishonest, group of THIEVES
Experian.com is a dishonest, group of THIEVES that rely on deception to make a living. I signed up earlier this year to get a simple credit check, like the ones i saw on television. What they dont tell you is they secretly add you to a membership, keeping your precious credit card billing information on file- STEAL $15 a month from you until you notice. Unfortunately it was the recommendation of my elderly mother who insisted we use Experian because she saw the television commercial and thought they could be trusted with my information. We both were very wrong. They offer you NO service, after over half a year i finally get an email saying my credit information has changed… Nervous about this i click on the email and i had to jump through several hoops asking me to click for a full 3 stage credit check- with TINY fine print that explain they will bill me $35 to my billing info if i click on it. Narrowly avoiding ridiculous scams, my credit was absolutely fine and unchanged- they just send a blanket scare tactic email to scam everyone who clicks on a single link! i finally entered my billing account- and it does NOT allow you to delete any of your information unless you call. I then when i called and waited on hold- I found out they have been secretly charging me a nonrefundable $15 a month membership fee for over a half year. I did not authorize this, you are a bunch of common theives! I cant believe such a dishonest business can handle peoples credit information. If i can give you one word of advice, do not trust these dishonest criminals with your personal information. After reading up on them later, i find i am not the only one. There is even a sketchy wikipedia article about them selling your personal information to identity theives! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experian Sales_to_identity_thieves
Experian now charges $1 for a credit
Experian now charges $1 for a credit report which should be free. When you request a credit report from Experian, you are automatically enrolled in a credit monitoring scam and Experian charges $19.95 to your credit card within seven days. This information is ont their website, but it is in small print and it is located beneath the link to request the report. There is no confirmation required, so I was not alerted to this enrollment prior to finalizing my request for a report. When I complained to the company, they restate the “terms of agreement” fine print. This is apurposefully deceptive practice. Credit reports are available from Equifax. Stay away from the Experian website.
I recently purchased what I thought was
I recently purchased what I thought was a copy of my ‘free’ (or $1 for processing) credit report. I thought I recognized the name ‘Experian’ and that they were a reputable company. There was a question about whether or not I wanted copies of the other 2 credit bureau report; I checked ‘no’. When I checked my bank account online a couple of days later, to my surprise, I found a ‘recurring’ charge of $19.95!! Not only that, but my account was overdrawn (I am on Disability and live on less than $1000/mo). I quickly called the number on the statement, and got a voice mail saying only, “We are not in; leave us a message”. I looked them up online and called another number. The representative informed me that I had joined while online, but they would consider dropping the rate to $9.95/mo. She did allow me to cancel (from what I’ve heard from others, they often do not), but I was still broke and owed my bank overdraft fees; and it was 2 weeks until my next check! When I got online and found out how many people have been ‘duped’ by this unscrupulous company it really made me angry; and I felt I needed to write something to someone who might have the power to do something about it. Thank-you ps, I used a Debit Card

October 2013 - I wanted to check
October 2013 – I wanted to check my credit score and paid $1 or $2 for a credit report from Experian. Jan 2014 – Three months later I notice a reoccurring deduction of $31.82 is charged monthly by “Experian 877-297-7790.” I called the number and got customer service in the Philippines, who informed, by agreeing for Experian to check my credit $1, I was given a 7 day trial automatically and since I hadn’t cancelled within the 7 days (of a service I knew nothing of) there was nothing Experian could do. After I scrapped my head off the ceiling (since it exploded) I demanded to speak with a Supervisor. My call was transferred from the Philippines to America where I spoke with a supervisor who also tried to sell the same line of BS. After sharing my views in a raised voice, she realized I was going to be a huge pain in her ass, announced I would receive a $90 credit. Incredible how a credit rating company uses its position to take advantage of American’s just trying to figure out their credit score. Absolutely disgusting and disturbing. I never had an opinon of this company before but I do now.

Be careful. I have super credit and buy my score often. These artists threw me into a free credit monitor when I purchased only my score. With their garish confusing web site buttons, and free, not free, offers. They snared me. The unethical execs reading this are laughing at me, they have my money, and are happy their site works so well at getting it, Grubbing credit card fees from the innocent, trusting americano’s. An ethical company would have a big red cancel button for customers no longer interested. Not Experian, what they sell you by internet, can only be cancelled by phoning their hidden phone number pages deep in their site and holding, holding, holding for someone across the globe.

Experian advertized a free credit report. once they get your credit card information they start charging you $19.95 and pass on your information to another company who will charge up to $29.95 to your card. these people are linked to other scams of the same nature. do not deal with these people if you don’t want to be scammed.

A charge keeps showing up on my credit card statement. CIC*Triple Advantage , [protected] , CA – and I know it’s only $12.95, but I have called the company to explain to them that I have no idea what the charges are for and that I want it canceled immediately. Customer Service was not helpful, they even tried to say they could not cancel it. I have called a couple of times to request a refund to my credit card account and to cancel the whatever the “subscription” might be and they would not even offer that option to me until I threatened disputing the charges with my credit card company. Once I threatened that, they agreed to refund my account and stop the future charges. A new month is here and a new bill has arrived – WITH the same charge appearing just as the previous months. I have filed the dispute with my credit card company, but I am definitely going to post a complaint against this company on every website I can find. I shouldn’t have to waste my time on this, but I feel after the hundreds of complaints I’ve already found online regarding this company, no one else is doing anything to prevent this from happening to unsuspecting consumers! At what point will a company like this be held accountable for such actions? Beware!

About three years ago my husband and I placed a freeze on our credit reports in response to the rise of identity theft. At the time, we understood that we could temporarily lift the freeze when applying for loans. We are now attempting to refinance our mortgage. We’ve made repeated attempts to unfreeze our Experian report using their online tool. After going through the process of filling out all of the information requested, we get a screen saying the only way to unfreeze the account is by sending confidential identity information (which we were trying to protect) and money through the US mail. They do not provide any way to contact “customer service” to determine why we can’t use their online tool. (In fact, there is no information about how to contact a human representative for their company on their web site.) They also don’t provide any information about how/when they would let us know that the account is unlocked once they receive all of the paperwork they require. I suspect that, although they claim that you can easily unlock your credit report online, their website is not set up to collect their fee for unlocking your report (although you can certainly purchase their credit report/protection products online). Both Equifax and TransUnion make it possible to charge their unlock fee to a credit card. No fuss, no muss. We are going to the expense of obtaining copies of their required identifications (for example, renewing driver’s licenses early so that they show our current address; Colorado lets you write in a new address on the back of the license without renewing). As a result of the delays in being able to provide lenders access to our Experian credit report, we are unable to take advantage of refinancing opportunities, which will result in continued higher mortgage costs.

All I wanted was a free credit report. first they took a $1.00 and ask if I wanted all 3 report I could get it for $39.95. Right now I am home with no funds coming in. These people took my last few dollars. (9.99) I don’t understand. I really need those few dollars back in my account. It will at least buy me maybe some meat and a few toileries. Please help me retain my money.

All of the credit bureaus have fraudulently reported delinquent accounts for apartment rental (Seville West Apt El Paso, TX), cell phone accounts (Qwest and AT&T) and cable television account (Time Warner Cable) under my social security number. Also, the bureaus have reported my address as those fraudulently list in the various delinquent accounts; where as, I have lived in the same place since 2001. These negative reports are generated from fraudulent accounts in my name and in turn, cost me in higher interest rates for purchases of real estate and automobiles. Even though, I can factually prove my residence and provide evidence clearly supporting my non-involvement in procuring theses accounts, I continually receive bad credit reports. At this time, I believe reporting by companies; collection agencies and credit bureaus create an endless cycle…one blaming the other for the fraudulent reports. Not one business involved in this verifies identification. I have completed fraud alerts, filed police reports and use LifeLock and still negative use of my personal information continues.

MNI is Mighty Net, Inc., 9040 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Floor 2, Canoga Park, CA 91304, tel [protected]. I am still now to find where CIC is. I have emailed MNI today to cancel what I did ordered. Company’s dedicated customer service numbers are completely automated. There is no way to speak to a representative. Numbers are busy with no option to leave a call back number. On line dispute reuires a two-digit ID number which appears nowhere. They were previously sued for failing to provide reasonable access as required by the FCRA, but it appears they’ve done nothing to change that. I disputed a state tax lien by mail with enclosing a date stamped document from the court stating that the lien was canceled/satisfied. (I offered to also send documentation that the tax was never owed, if needed.) I received a letter back stating simply that they investigated and the unsatisfied lien “remains.” I have tried the entire day to find any number for any office at Experian where a live person will answer. That includes even Investor Relations, Press/media number…everything. You cannot get them and, as noted, trying to dispute or check the status of a dispute requires a two digit “ID” which appears nowhere on the report.

Dreadful. Don’t bother. Good luck in trying to get rid of them. They make a lot of promises including a free trial. But anyway when you start using them, they charge you. No, not that one dollar, but much more. And now I can’t make them stop charging me every day. I haven’t subscribed to their service, [robably, it was automatically done once I used their service. And now they have my credit card information and are able to do anything they want. I am very nervous…

Due to Federal requirements Credit reporting agencies (who actually work for Credit Card Companies) were required to allow one free credit report. I checked my credit through annualcreditreport.com. TransUnion and Equifax were straightforward but Experian was complicated (and I believe intentionally confusing) and two weeks later I see a charge from them for $14.95 for a monthly ‘service’. The entry looked like this: POS DEBIT CIC*CE CREDIT REPORT [protected] CA Link to more information in a new browser window. $14.95. I had no intent to sign up and am fairly savvy with Internet apps (I am an IT analyst for a living). This is obviously Experian’s way to scam people out of money. I called to cancel: they tried to upsell me. I refused and am noting the time and date.

Equifax charged me on 3 separate occasions for a $1.00 free credit report online. The first charge was for 29.95, a second charge of 19.95, and a third charge of 19.95. When I called to be credited for the payments that were automatically deducted from my account I was told that there was a 7 day grace period that I knew nothing about and that the agent on the customer service line would only credit me back one charge of 19.95 and half of the 29.95 charge of 15.00. I am furious because the terms for this were concealed on their website. I can’t imagine that I am the only person that has had this experience and frustration. I should be fully reimbursed. Experian Credit Bureau has an automated phone system that seems impossible to use effectively–there is no way to reach a live operator to describe a problem related to incorrect information on a credit report. Repeated calls to the same number, with different code selections, still never lead to a live person. The online access is no more helpful–everything seems contrived to provide automated assistance only. If you have a question that doesn”t fit into the automated menu, then you”re out of luck. Leaving detailed personal information via the automated system still may result in a failure of the system to properly identify the caller. There is no automatic transfer to a live operator to handle the situation. Experian needs to address these issues or go out of business completely. I hope the Federal Trade Commission and other regulatory bodies are aware of Experian”s incompetence. In fact, I”m going to make certain they are aware. I almost hope I get the chance to sue Experian for failure to correct the erroneous information on my credit report. I suspect that the threat of legal action is the only thing that will get a live person on the phone. Thank you.

Experian is an on-line credit report agency that monitors your credit monthly for a fee. I used them a long time ago and cancelled my account when I found a much more reasonable one. About six months later a reoccuring charge showed up on my visa from Experian. When I called they said my credit card number was being used by a Chris and Chad and that they had somehow gotten access to it. I had to tell the customer service rep when it started so he could credit all the charges they had done. Luckily, it was only 3 charges, but it could have been much worse. Cancelled the card and will never use them again! Pass the word!

Experian operates outfits called CIC Triple Advantage and Consumer Info and www.freecreditreport.com. I find myself in the same boat as everyone else who has posted a complaint about CIC on this board. I went to www.freecreditreport.com to get an annual free credit report for me and for my husband under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Ever since, CIC Triple Advantage has deceitfully charged us each $12.95 for the past 5 months. I just noticed the charges, ran a Google search on CIC, called CIC and requested that they cancel my ‘membership’ (that’s the rep’s term not mine, considering I never asked to become a member) and I requested a full refund. The rep canceled my ‘membership,’ but said I would have to send a letter to the company if I wanted a refund because she wasn’t authorized to issue refunds. If the company had been straight with me — as I believe they should be required to by law — and asked if I was interested in signing up for the service, I would have said NO. Hiding charges in fine print is absolutely unacceptable. Signing people up automatically without asking, giving people a “free” 30 day membership, then charging them a monthly fee thereafter? It’s just not right. A company should be required to ask you, “Yes or no, do you want to sign up for this service?” I think you can understand how absolutely frustrating & infuriating it is to request a credit report in order to monitor my credit and maintain control of my finances, while also being screwed over by the very company that purports to be in the business of helping to protect me financially. CIC Triple Advantage is part of Consumer Info, which is part of Experian. Up until now, I thought Experian was a reputable company. I can’t believe I got screwed over by one of the three major credit bureaus! Here’s what I did to get a refund and I hope it helps other to do the same: Call CIC at [protected] to cancel your ‘membership’ and request an email confirmation from the rep you talk to. Write down the rep’s name, time and date you called, etc. File an online complaint with the FTC so that they are aware of the problem. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Their seal of approval is on the freecreditreport website and they ought to be aware of the problem. Write a letter to Consumer Info / P.O. Box 19729 Irvine, CA [protected] and explain your situation. Demand a refund within 30 days of the date of the letter. Mail it by certified return receipt request so you have proof of mailing and receipt. I included attachments with mine: a printout of all the complaints posted on this board to show that I’m not the only one and a copy of the complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau. Scan the letter and attachments and email a copy to each of the following employees who work with Consumer Info and ask them to review the letter and assist you: ed.[protected]@consumerinfo.com ty.[protected]@consumerinfo.com jennifer.[protected]@consumerinfo.com brian.[protected]@consumerinfo.com patty.[protected]@consumerinfo.com bernice.[protected]@consumerinfo.com robert.[protected]@consumerinfo.com Those people are customer service reps, presidents, vice-presidents, etc. Robert Fosmire emailed back later in the day to say he’d forwarded my letter to an associate and she assured him that my money had been refunded. Also, when I got home from work there was a message on my answering machine from that associate telling me she’d just issued a full refund. We’ll see! I’ll definitely be back to post more if I don’t see that money back in my account. I hope this helps other people to battle this scamming company. There really oughta be laws and severe penalties for this sort of thing. Good luck!

Experian uses coercive practices when it comes to the security of their consumer accounts. I cancelled my paid membership that allowed me to lock or unlock my Experian credit information at will but I had added a credit report freeze long before I had a membership account with the option to lock or unlock my report. After I cancelled that account I found out the credit freeze I had placed on my account no longer existed, thereby leaving my credit account exposed to possible fraud on my account. I did not know that Experian had left me exposed to credit fraud for three days when I received an email stating (Because you’ve cancelled your paid membership and no longer have access to CreditLock, your Experian credit file has been unlocked. So, any upcoming scheduled lock or unlock has been cancelled. Upgrade your account to use this feature again). It was not explained to me that the credit freeze I had placed on my account before I opened my paid information account had been removed from my Experian account. I feel this is deceptive and coercive in order to get me to reopen one of their paid accounts.

I sent them a letter and it was returned incorrect address.I have tried several times to get this removed and Experian will not remove Felco from my report.I have called Experian to get a correct address and phone number and they don’t have one either. This is not fair to me it is ruining my credit and I want them removed.

First the company placed $14.95 per month for 3 months under cic triple advantage and then another $14.95 per month for another 3 months under a different name, info.experiendirect. I was out of the country and just discovered what had been happening. Stop, you crooks!

Following receipt of credit denial letter, attempted to secure legally indicated FREE report from experian. Unable to secure by 800# even though entered correct info. Directed to and only way to access online was to give them $15 . This company sucks!

For the past 2 months, I’ve noticed this CIC*Triple Advantage with $12.00 -charged twice- on my checking account. Finally, called the number with information and then looked up number and name. It was not during business hours, but the voice message said “Experian Customer Care”. When I looked up the number, I found several hits with others and the same complaint. Charges not authorized for a “Free” service/credit report. I will be calling tomorrow to have this “service” stopped and charges stopped immediately. I could have used the $72 plus any of their future charges for something else in my budget. Don’t appreciate these SNEAKY charges for “services” NOT needed!!! BEWARE of Experian/CIC Triple Advantage!!!

I accepted their offer for a “free” credit check. Without knowing, the began charging me $15 a month for what I later found out was a “membership.” I didn”t realize I was being charged for close to a year. When I called to complain and cancel the recurring charge, they said it was all laid out in fine print. They said I had to be a member to get the “free” credit report, thus the monthly charge. Since they are based in Irvine, CA, I am considering filing a formal complaint with the Orange County district attorney. I think his name is Tony Rackauckas. He needs to clean up businesses in his jurisdiction. Maybe we should all phone his office and demand action.

I am an American Citizen who lives in Spain since October of 2011 due to a Job offer, I visit USA periodically to spend time with my Family and love ones, as well to check on my bank account and my personal affairs in the State of Jacksonville Florida. On April of 18, 2013 I wrote to Experian a letter, seriously asking this Company to send me inmediately a copy of my Credit Report because I have received letters at my home Address I use in USA, which is my Brothers home, of denying me of credit from Companies like Amex and Visa. I tried several times, (From my residence home in Spain and spending hours and money in long distance calls) in attempting to find out why is the reason that Experian is sending information about my Credit to Credit companies in the USA when I have not open any credit cards since I left USA in 10/11, in fact!, I paid all my creditors in June of 2011 prior to my temporary move to Europe. When I finally reach a person in Experian, they put me in hold for over 10 minutes, and when the person returned to the line told me that they can not explain anything to me over the phone, that I will have to send them a letter requesting my Credit Report with copies of my USA Identifications attach in order for them to know who I am. I made copies of my Florida License (wrote VOID all over the copies to avoid fraud since I had no other choice per their request in order to receive my Credit Report), and I mailed this letter with the copies on April 18, 2013 and still have not heard or received my Credit Report from Experian. I am getting very worry, I was already worry because Experian is been giving information about my Credit to companies while I am not in the states and I deserve an Explanation. As an American Citizen, I still filed taxes every year in the USA and I am Entitle to obtain at least once a year a copy of my credit report, and SPECIALLY IF I HAVE A FEELING THAT FRAUD WITH MY IDENTITY IS BEEN GOING ON IN MY ABSENCE FROM USA. Can someone please help me out and find out why Experian is not providing me the information I have request from them?… Thank You Damaris G. Rivera

I am writing this on behalf of June Arney, She is blind. I am being billed $17.95 every month and I can’t get it stopped. The web site on my statement brings us to this web site. I want it stopped, I want to it to be taken off my credit. I want all my money back with interest. My credit card company says I have to go online to stop it. This has been going on for months.

I answered a free credit check site and have since then been charged $ 19.95 twice. I did not sign up for charges, nor a monthy check. I am retired, on a fixed income and have no need for credit checks. I contest these charges and will not pay them. Barbara Hardwick 9104 Mountain View Rd s.e. Yelm Wa. [protected]

I applied for credit at my local credit union & was turned down & suggested that i get a free credit report at freecreditreport.com. I did on 12/7/09 & what was told to me that disqualified me for the credit was not on my credit report, nor anything useful to me at all. i then got a charge, on my credit card, ref# 2435178ACNB0FQVBMN with a charge of $14.95 i was unaware of and on the web i would be charged this once a month with nowhere to advise that i did not want the service. my first notice that i was signed up for this was through my credt card bill i received on 12/24/09. Merry Christmas for a charge that i cannot afford.

I applied to Macy”s for a Macy”s card to get the latest offers. I have no debt or mortgage. I am a british citizen and visit here for up to 6 months a year. I own my own home here and in UK. My application was rejected on the basis of Insufficient information on file. I phoned to request my report as stated in the experian letter. I can not speak with anyone and Experian refuse to process my application without a social security number. Try this lot for a put off without a security number they just disconnect you if the answer cannot be found automatically [protected]. I think that insufficient information should be a good indication of credit worthiness. I have no intention of using a credit card without the instant payoff option. Experian Eat this

I believe the 3 bureau credit report on freecreditreport.com is a rip-off. Here is what I experienced: I paid the additional $24.95 to view all three bureau reports on “freecreditreport.com”. Everything on the reports looked ok, but when I viewed my scores, the Transunion score was off significantly. After several fruitless calls with Transunion and having to order a separate actual Transunion report, I found that there was a reported delinquent payment on record with them dating back to 2005, which was not shown on the “3 bureau report” from “freecreditreport.com”. During the course of this I discovered that the so-called “3 bureau report” only provides information dating back 24 months for the other two bureaus, thereby making it incomplete and in many ways useless. When I called freecreditreport.com to ask for my money back given that they did not provide the advertised service (i.e. a FULL Transunion Credit Report) I was told this was not possible and that they provided the service by passing on all the information they received from Transunion. I am not sure whether the issue here is Transunion sending incomplete information to them or that they are not displaying the full set of data due to some internal issue, but in any case, I think it is unacceptable that they try to lay the blame on others while wanting to hold on to the fees they charged for an incomplete service. Unacceptable and a Rip-Off!

I called Experian to ask them to remove a fraud alert that I did not place on my report. When the rep ask me a question he did not read the question correctly and therefore I answered the question wrong. After asking to speak with a supervisor and explaining to her that her rep was having trouble reading the question to me and it seems as if he did not speak English the supervisor then hung up the phone on me. Now I can not get through to customer service and I am being blocked from uploading my documents to prove my identity so I can remove the fraud alert. Hard working people should not be allowed to be treated this way by a credit reporting company. Please help me.

I disputed the inaccurate information from my credit report several times, and the accounts came back verified and it belong to me. I complied with Experian request to provide relevant information to support my claim. I send the information I received from the creditor to Experian by email and in person. The letter from the creditor indicated that the debt is invalid and it has been canceled. Despite of my insistence Experian failed to delete the error from my credit report. “Experian just so cruel and so heartless to unfortunate consumers.”

I finally opened my account to look at it. My daughter found fraud from experian that I never ran. I have never bought anything or did anything that would require experian to run my credit. They did it automatically every month right on time around 4 pm. That is automatic if you ask me. They have charged my card over $500. We had to go through several calls and they were rude rude people. I don’t know why social security has a company like this handling peoples money. I sent in the fraud paperwork and of course they “couldn’t find any prove any fradulaunt activity” and refused to give the money back. Of course they assumed I gave the card to someone or let people in my account. I gave my daughter permission to help me when I visited and they refused to let her talk even with me there on speaker phone. They said if we didn’t get off speaker they would hang up and threat after threat after threat. Now I need to find corporate and go higher. Sometimes it doesn’t even work in the stores and makes me look bad like there is nothing in the card. Direct express sucks.

I have a charge on my credit card for Info Experian Direct.com Info EXD.com CA – there is no phone number or any way to contact this company to let them know I do NOT want this service. I have a charge of 14.95 Jan 9 2010 and I tried to send an email but it did not go thru – no other way to resolve this unless I dispute the charge. This company I believe this is a rip off way of trying to get a free credit report. I do not believe this is the actual Experian Credit Service company doing this.
