We hired Fields Quality Concrete & General Construction company to build our home and barn four years ago. Since the close in February 2010, the completely shoddy workmanship has slowly shown it’s hand in the house. We have cracked walls, cracked ceilings, cracked floor tiles, and an interior doorway that is now so crooked you cannot close the door. This we figure is all due to the house settling but I have never seen a house settle so much that it almost looks like the house is going to split in half. Today was the last straw, the metal roof on our $25K barn completely blew off. We contacted Gordon Fields (the owner of the company) to see what he was going to do about it and his response was that home owners insurance should handle it. Excuse me? I do believe a properly installed roof should not blow off in only four years. I am going to do everything I can to ensure no one else uses this company to build a pig sty let alone a home.
