I bought 4 bottles of Amarige by Givenchy from fragranceshop.com on Dec.12. My wife opened one up in late January and it was bad. I contacted fragranceshop.com, they said that we had to eat the opened bottle because it was beyond the 30 days.But we could send back the unopened ones if we paid shipping. They do not stand behind their merchandise. Not a reputable company. A company that does not worry about returning customers and is not people friendly is not going to last.

I have been purchasing Jivago 24K for over 10 years thru retailers like Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. I had purchased it several times with another internet fragrance distributor and have had no problems. I purchased the Eau de Parfum in February and was shipped promptly. However, after unwrapping and spraying the product, I detected that it was not the same. Thought maybe I was wrong. However, sprayed and then realized after 2 hours I had no scent. None. Not on my skin and not on my clothes. I still had my other bottle I purchase a while back from Nordstrom. The bottles were close but not the same. The packaging was duplicated almost to a T. However, the atomizer is not correct, the markings on the cap were incorrect and the logo was printed with both Gold insignia instead of one gold and the other silver. I was at NEIMAN MARCUS this past weekend and purchase at bottle at retail price. I paid about $57 for a huge bottle on line and at the store it was over $110 for a much smaller bottle. Compared the two and again. completely different smell and wear. I remembered to send them a complaint to their customer service dept- after I google the website- discovered they have issues. So, here I am filling out this form. I will keep my packaging- Pictures are not really an option since it’s scent related other than too fine a detail that may not get picked up by a digital camera or phone. I have ordered a perfume from Fragranceshop and paid for the delivery. I paid extra for the delivery because I wanted them to deliver it to my house. Perfume was very expensive and it was a present for my wife. One day I went out and saw a box near the gate and when I opened it I saw it was my perfume! I immediately went back home, called Fragranceshop and told them everything I thought about them! How is that even possible that they left my order near the gate on the ground? Was it that hard to call and ask me to pick it up? Terrible!!

I ordered 4 bottles of Davidoff Cool Water. The perfume was bad. It seemed as though it had been sitting on a shelf somewhere for years! The bottle and liquid were discolored and the smell was musky. Cool water is a fresh sweet light smelling fragrance. I called the company to return the items because of this obvious quality control issue which is the company’s fault, however, they refused to provide a return shipping label. They wanted me to send photos of the bottles to prove that they were discolored and then they would consider sending a paid return label! Terrible customer service. I absolutely will NEVER purchase anything from this company again, and I suggest you all stay away to avoid a similar situation. They do not stand behind their products and have obvious quality issues.

I purchased 3 perfumes from fragranceshop.com, and 2 of them were not authentic. In fact, they aren’t even close to the original scents. The other two were fine. I contacted them about returning these items (they have “Guaranteed Authentic or your money back” at the top of their home page), and I was informed that I would have to pay to ship it back to them, and then pay again for them to send out a new item. When I questioned how they can prove its authenticity, the response was, everyone loves this item, and we’ve never had complaints. They also have no documentation to prove their products are authentic.

I purchased a fragrance from FragranceShop.com on 28 December 2010 and the payment went through immediately. This is however not the first time that I bought from them, so I didn’t feel any hesitation to buy from them again. 35 Working days after I’ve ordered and paid for my product, I still have not received it. After contacting them after 20 working days (the maximum number of days that they gave for the product to arrive in South Africa), I contacted them to let them know that I haven’t received the product yet. I asked them to track it down and let me know when I can expect it as I haven’t received any other communication to the contrary. The next day I received an email from their Customer Services department stating that they have filed a claim with USPS and that I have to give them another 20 working days for it to be sorted out. In this mail they asked that I check back in around 15 days after the insurance claim was filed. I did as they asked and guess what. I received and answer that say “we will be contacting the insurance company and try and expedite your claim”. NEWSFLASH PEOPLE!!! THIS ISN’T MY CLAIM!!! THIS IS YOUR CLAIM TO SORT OUT BETWEEN YOURSELF, YOUR COURIER AND YOUR INSURANCE AGENCY!!! The fact that you have to claim for the loss of the item has nothing to do with me. That you can sort out on your own between the relevant parties involved that lost my package. The fact that I as the customer is made to wait is ridiculous!!! No customer should wait for any retailer to first sort out their claims before the customer’s replacement item is sent. It is not the customer’s fault that there arose a claim and they should not even be remotely aware of the claim process that the retailer must go through for their loss. The customer must be sent a replacement IMMEDIATELY after such a complaint is filed and it is found to be valid, which in this case they did as they also immediately filed a claim, confirming that the original product that they sent was in fact missing and irretrievable. Though I have not found the previous product to be a fake, once I’ve received my replacement order (whenever that will be), I will never make use of this company again. I therefore send this warning to all prospective clients to take heed and not make my mistake by making use of this company, regardless of how good their prices are.
