With more than 20 years in the field of mental health, I continue to feel excited that I get to do this work! It is a privilege to witness individuals move beyond a stuck place to a place where they can grow and find the promise of something better. My therapeutic approach consists of helping individuals identify their unique strengths and talents and then use these positive interpersonal resources to create healthier ways to cope with challenges.I work with patients using a strength-based model. Treatment is tailored to the individual and may include cognitive-restructuring, exploration of family dynamics, mindfulness techniques, and EMDR. My professional interests include trauma recovery, bereavement, post-partum issues, addiction and stress management. I see patients in two convenient locations.I have been published in the areas of traumatic stress, eating disorders & chronic illness. I also volunteer with the Trauma Response Network of South Florida; a group of professionals who give their time to help victims of catastrophic events. I offer evening and weekend appointments to make therapy more accessible to all.
