Franklin Service

Franklin Collections Services is a collection dog for ATT. If and when you get a dispute with your ATT internet or cellular service, they quickly turn you over to these dogs. The collection service contacts the credit reporting agencies and posts a negative claim against you. After a few months, they bump the amount by a dollar and then post the negative claims against you, again, using a new name called: Enhanced Recovery Company LLC. This way it looks like you have credit issues with 2 different companies. Your score drops significantly for each company entry. They then issue another alias with the credit card companies to make your credit score drop again. This company is probably owned by ATT, but I can’t be sure. Calling them is a waste of time. Comcast and Verizon are better alternatives to ATT and I highly recommend switching to them. For the record, my problem with ATT started when I tried to cancel their internet services after their promotion was over. A man with an Indian accent told me he would extend the promotion and just go ahead and continue paying the low promotion monthly charge. I did, but the next months bill was 3 times the promotion amount. I quickly called ATT and got anothert Indian who promptly hung up on me after I demanded he cancel my account. I eventually called the business ATT number and got someone who was within the US and agreed to cancel my account and credit my charges back to ATT. That didn’t quite happen. My service was cancelled, but I continued to get phone call harrassements and bills for the month and a half I still had the service. My account was then quickly turned over to Franklin Collections. My 740 credit score has dropped to 670, dispite having no other issues. Franklin Collections and their aliase are a bunch of ATT lacky bums and someone should push for a class action suit against them all. $78 is too little for me to bother with, so I’ll leave it up to someone else.
