Freedom Debt Relief THIS IS A SCAM–THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN! San Mateo California | My family entered into this program 11 months ago. We had a very large amount of debt and they told it would take 36 months to settle. The biggest problem with this company and others is they want their fees up front so very little money goes into what is called your account. Because this takes so much time there were creditors in our case that didn’t wait and filed lawsuits. | We are now in bankruptcy and Freedom collected over $7,000.00 from us in fees that are not refundable. We knew this going in (our bad) but what we didn’t know and they did not tell us is that with some creditors if you owe a large amount to them they don’t have the patience to wait. This is where I think they are scam artists. They tell you they will work very hard for you but if that were truly the case we would not have been sued. | We were told by them that they can’t do anything with your creditors until you have enough money in your account to negotiate. This is the reason we were sued. They hadn’t even talked to these people. | The other thing is their customer service stinks. They argue with you when ask questions about why they haven’t done something or if you have questions about your money. | I could go on and on but my family is now in financial ruin and we just have to pray that the Lord will provide. | If anyone is out there needing help please try and find a reputable business (preferrably a christian based) or just file bankruptcy. Sometimes, and in our case it’s not all your fault.
