I filed an adoption application with Georgia poodle rescue. It’s an 11 page application that took me an hour to fill-in. I also paid a $20 application fee on-line. When I received the response the day after, I was told that I didn’t qualify as I wasn’t a previous dog owner. I responded back saying that this information was missing in the application form and should have been included in. I got a defensive response back from the rescue owner (Deborah Blatchley) saying that I should have read their on-line policy. First of all there was no policy posted on their website and second, you would expect this important information to be included in their 11 page adoption form. I got then a very aggressive response back saying that I was the one to blame and to never to contact them again. I was intringuid and did an on-line search on this rescue shelter and found that their owner had similar issues with customers in the past and was arrested several times. It seems to be a rip-off where they take people money for adoption and never follow through. I would like to warn future customers about this shelter as it’s a scam.
