It was 2008, and I was 25 years old. I was dealing with some minor hair loss issues. I heard on the radio about Giannotto Clinic and thought I would give it a try. So I went over to see if I could get a hair transplant procedure. I met a consultant at the Tysons Corner Office. He told me some things about how the procedure would work. He also told me a single procedure should fix my issues. Then I met with Dr. Giannotto himself. He actually called one of his employees who had gotten the procedure done, to show me how small the scar would be. It only seemed to be 2-3 inches long, and I was pretty pleased.
I showed up on the day of the surgery and Dr. Giannotto gave me a pill. It made me feel intoxicated, and that was when he asked me to sign some legal documents. That’s right. He asked me to do this when I was not thinking straight.
I was in for a huge shock when I came out of surgery sporting a scar that started at my left ear and ran all the way to the right ear! I swear I can’t even feel the skin on my head around the scar, to this day. I was supposed to get 2500 grafts. But I doubt very much that I got any more than 200! In other places, the whole process takes anywhere from 6 to 8 hours. I should have known something was wrong when they told me the procedure at Giannotto would only take 3 hours.
I’d gone to the clinic with mild hair loss issues. Now I’m dealing with major hair loss, after all that money and that huge scar. The scar, by the way, has stretched now. It isn’t just line. It’s easily half an inch thick now. So here I am. I’m 25 years old and I’ve dealt with all this trauma because of Giannotto Clinic. I don’t know what I did to deserve such a horrible scar running all the way around my head. I can’t tell you what I’ve been going through these last few years.
I wish so badly I had read more reviews before going here. This is my attempt to warn other people not to trust Dr. Giannotto or his clinic.
