The foremost value I’m looking for when I deal with people, especially business professionals, is reliability. In other words, “Can I trust this person?” One of the ways I gauge person’s reliability is to see how the person handles communication, especially requests. | People who are reliable are always clear about what they can and can’t do, and no matter how busy they are they always make sure to let the other party know about their decision in a timely manner. I think this is especially an important virtue for civil servants like Tamar whose job is to serve the community on taxpayer’s money. Unfortunately, in my interaction with Tamar I didn’t see such a reliability in her. | After some time of exchanging emails on a proposal, she all of sudden stopped responding to me. My follow up attempt with her was also unsuccessful. I later found out people called such a behavior a “professional ghosting”. I don’t tolerate such a rude, unprofessional behavior. It only makes the person committing such a behavior look unreliable, untrustworthy. | The problem with this type of behavior is that you don’t know when (or if) the person is going to ghost you, making the whole interaction unnecessarily unstable and fragile. It’s a shame that this kind of unprofessional behavior was committed by a civil servant. | I don’t know who mentored or trained her, but the fact that she abruptly stops communicating with me and not responding to my email for several months shows she’s not properly trained, untrustworthy, and an ill-mannered professional. Tamar Bezjian is not a reliable person. I will not deal with her in the future.
