My own fault for buying on ebay for low price. I needed a new fuel pump for 20 or 30k miles. Figured the cheap one on Ebay with LIFETIME WARRANTY would at least do the trick. Their feedback was 98% simply because the volume they do, plus most parts last beyond the window of ebay protection/ feedback ability. Long story short, the fuel pump stranded me in 4000 miles and what a misery for saving some money! GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE will not do anything nor even return emails (and I have maintianed courtesy throughout). Just want to file this report to close the story and forewarn everyone else. PS – I used PayPal but since my account had a balance there was no credit card involved and no ultimate protection. I had always trusted “Ebay money back guarantee” and PayPal to protect me. DON’T!! Ebay/PayPal do nothing beyond 30 days and in effect perpetuate this type of bad seller on their site. .

On May 22 I ordered a part
On May 22 I ordered a part from this company through eBay, where they had a very good rating. I was provided a tracking number, which only gave me the response ‘Multiple Carriers’ (more or less useless). Since it was being shipped to Canada, I waited a week past their latest estimated delivery date before I emailed to ask about it. Their very terse response was that international orders can take up to 45 days (coincidently, the time allowed to file a claim through eBay) and the item had been shipped. They said they aren’t responsible for customs delays. This was a $15 part with an additional $15 for shipping. I doubted customs would hold such a low value item for that long. At the end of July I again emailed them to ask why I still hadn’t received it. They told me that without the tracking number they couldn’t do anything. So I looked it up again and now instead of saying ‘Multile Carriers’, it showed that the item was delivered to me…in Kentucky. I live in Canada. I sent the tracking number anyway, explaining that I don’t live in Kentucky and that I would like them to either reship the part or refund my money. I’ve had no further response from them since. Of course, the time has elapsed to file an eBAy claim (something I’m sure they were watching closely since they stopped answering my emails about the same time) and it’s now also too late to post a bad review for these crooks on eBay. I know my money is lost and although it’s a small amount (thankfully), it really pisses me off that a company that has a long track record of ripping off their customers somehow manages to stay in business. I hope that this report helps someone else avoid these con artists. By the way, the BBB has company ratings from A to F. This company has, you guessed it, an F rating. Beware, they will steal your money.
The order was received on time, but
The order was received on time, but the distributor was found to be defective. Once the distributor was installed on my car there was a continued intermitten ignition issues which I had been trying to correct. Having just installed the part which completed the whole spark side replacement, I proceded to trouble shoot on the fuel and air “”side”” for the next several weeks outside in the coldest sub-freezing winter in our area since 1912! Only after I returned to the spark side removed the distributor and took it apart did I discover a wire that had been assembled wrong in such a way as to cause it to rub against the timing wheel of the distributor. At first the issue was intermitten but eventually it caused a “”no-start”” situation. During the intermitten period we were almost left stranded on the highway. On this occassion it was a wonder I didn’t throw a rod when the car misfired at 70 mph.Other parts were thrown at the problem because the distributor was assumed to be new and in working order and no codes or problems were found. Despite having my mechanic consultant at the local parts store verify that the wire was assembled wrong and was shorting against the “”timing wheel”” within the distributor, this company’s representative was more intent on arguing that it couldn’t be the part which was now out of the warranty time period. There was no concern for the customer nor the fact that there could have been a defective part sold. BUYER BEWARE!
