I took a Global knowledge PMP Boot Camp in May of 2012. This was a five day camp in Vancouver which cost around $3000. As a contractor I also took time away from work so the price was pretty steep. I talked to Trina Brown at Global knowledge and asked about the course and what the pass rate was. I was looking for something pretty solid and she indicated the course had a very high pass rate (98%) and that the she had only know of one person who had failed. So I went ahead and started the class. We ended up with about 2-3 hours of actual instruction and the instructor didn’t seem to really care about our understanding of the material. Between hearing about how much PMI is a money scam and how his understanding of project management I started to realize either the exam is really easy or we are all going to fail. After the course 5 of the 6 classmates took the exam only 1 passed. So we ended up with a 20% pass rate. Now Global knowledge offers a guarantee, but you have to take the time off again, and no guarantee that you will get a better instructor. We complained to Global Knowledge and and were told even though the ADMIT this instructor fault they won’t help us out in any way. We have waited over a month and Brooks, Bill, Trina and Rachel have all given us the run around. They have basically stalled us into paying more for their services So be weary of these guys they will put anyone in to teach a class because once they have your money it’s all about that. They have zero interest in keeping people happy and have put policies in their terms to protect themselves so they can deliver a crappy class and charge thousands for it.
