I had my first eye exam in 10 years. I was rushed through a sale on glasses and prescription sunglasses after being told that I needed Progressive lenses. I was confused, according to the eye doctor, couldn’t really see properly and was NEVER informed of a final sale policy by the clerk. I left suspecting that I had paid way too much. When I spoke to friends and family and was told that they had heard bad things about this store and believed I was way overcharged for what I was sold, I called and asked for a cancellation, 2 HOURS after leaving the store. The manager, Greg, called me back and spoke to me condecendingly about how I didn’t “understand”why the glasses cost what they cost. I repeated over and over again that I wished to cancel. He screamed at me and didn’t listen to my request, saying he would ask the staff and get back to me. This was around 3pm and he didn’t contact me until about 11am the following day saying “they were already in process and could not be cancelled”. They could have been cancelled 2 hours later when I made my wish to cancel them known. But they refused so they could continue with overcharging me and keeping my money anyway. I called my bank to dispute the charge since I had expressed wishing to cancel goods I did not have possession of as yet and I waited until it posted (Grand Central Optical), after I had communicated wanting to cancel via email at least 3 more times, all of which were blatantly ignored, went ahead with the sale anyway. I disputed the charge and my bank just got bank that they are siding with Grand Central Optical and deducting $1,152.80 out of my bank account that had been provisionally credited. I do not have these goods, I have no intention of walking into a place that treated me like this to pick up goods that I need to use every day. I have no intention of picking up goods that I wished to cancel two hours after purchasing, prior to anything being done! This is a true RIP OFF and I will continue to fight this until resolution is reached. I was never informed of a Final Sale policy, I asked to cancel and was ignored and now, I am paying for something that I do not have.
