Grande Communications is the worst internet provider I have ever had. I have had the worst experience with their customer support staff. Exactly a month ago, I contacted Grande Communications so that the can check whether they can install their internet service on my new house or not. The guy I talked to told me that he would be sending a technician to my house to make sure that my house is serviceable. After the whole day ended they called me to confirm that they can easily provide me with the internet service as the service pole is just nearby and they just have to elongate the wire from the pole to my house. I scheduled an appointment for early morning on the next Monday and the company told me that they have jotted down everything that is needed and I would soon be enjoying their “fast” internet services. On that Monday I left the office to go and meet with the technician. He came to the house late and told me that he was not able to do extend the wire today because of a technical reason. He reassured me that it is a temporary problem and he will take care of it. He said that I would get a call from the company within the next 48 hours and they will clarify the situation for me further. I didn’t receive any calls so I contacted the company myself. The agent said that she hasn’t heard from the technician and she will contact me once the ticket is processed and it would take no more than one day. So I waited 2 days and still got no calls. I called the company again and the same thing happened. Now came the holidays for a week. I called them today and STILL didn’t get any response from them. It has been a month since my first request and they haven’t done ANYTHING!!! I’m a freelancer and the internet is a very important part of my professional and personal life. This company disturbed my business a lot as I had to use my mobile’s internet for Skype Conferences and online meetings. I called the company and told them that I don’t want to use their services now. My friend called the company to ask the company what’s their problem and he got put on hold for 30 minutes after which they told him that they would contact him after an hour. We have not heard from them after that and I don’t even want to talk to their rep now. This company has just wasted my time; I had to explain the whole situation from scratch each time I called, as there was always a new representative on the line. Their technical team is even worse than their reps; the technicians are extremely lazy and avoid work. In these 4 weeks, I learned to never contact Grande Communications for the internet. Please AVOID THIS COMPANY, you will be much happier and you will thank me someday.
