So green motion cancelled our reservation and booked a new reservation with triple price (1279.48 dollars instead of 300 dollars) as per the new market price. Its not our fault that there was a delay in the flight. The agent said that we should have arrived at 11:30 pm but because we arrived at 1:40 am (after 1;30 am) our booking was cancelled. They made the new booking and I was unable to cancel it because it requires a managerial approval. I spoke to the manager in the morning next day, he told me he cant do anything and asked me to send to “andrew. [protected]@greenmotionusa.com” I did since day jan 19.. He hasn”t replied till today jan 31. We need a refund for the extra money we paid as per the new market rate. I only have the pay the agreed amount that I booked online which is 300 dollars only. Also the car wasn”t fully fueled when I got it. Is that green motions attitude that you don”t reply to the customer”s complaints?

> Hello, > during my recent visit to Poland i have rented a car from Green Motion in Poznan. The whole experiance started very negative when I went to pick up the car and the reception person kept answering my every question with “we recommend to purchase our extended insurance”. When i provided my credit card they again said we don”t accept this form of payment UNLESS you purchase extended insurance! I found that very strange!! Same thing happened to a family who was standing next to me trying to rent a car as well. I have been renting cars from all types of companies in the past and this was very disturbing. It was like we could not get an answer regarding “what happen when you return car late, accidents etc” always saying “we recommend our insurance”. I told them that i have my own insurance and i am not interested so then they said worst case scenario if the car gets totalled it would be 1000 Euro. When we finally went to get the car from the parking lot, the car was pretty dirty on the inside and had marks on the inside of driver doors. When i pointed that out, i was informed that the inside of the car doesn”t matter and they care only about the outside. Then we did an inspection of an outside, the car had fairly large scratches with paint missing on one side of the back bumper and couple small pain chips on the body that the guy marked off. > I declined the 18Euro car wash charge that they would charge me to return dirty car. > Today i went to return the car as was stated in my paperwork. I returned with as much gas as indicated and washed the car prior to driving to the airport/car return. When the guy came out to do final inspection he stated that the car isn”t washed. When i said i just came from car wash he said i should have used a car wash at the airport. This is unbelievable!!! For a traveling person to know where is car wash by the airport is ridiculous. At this point i found that totally insane. If there was any dust on the car from driving 3 km from car wash to car return I would say thats normal. Never had anybody say to wash a car at the airport!!! After that the guy told me that there is hairline scratch on the bottom of passenger door and he will mark that. He then proceed to whipping his shirt/ sweatshirt all over the car door and told me there is a hairline scratch. I have rented car hundreds of times but i have never seen anything like this. I told him that when i picked up the car i could never possibly see anything that small and i have never came across a company to wipe their clothes on the car. As far as i am concerned he could put that scratch with his shirt button etc. but the scratch was so small and insignificant that almost invisible to a naked eye without crawling on the floor. I understand there are rules for scratches, dents and dings but this is totally a scam. This person informed me that he will charge me over 700 Euro for the scratches. Again was one scratch and then of a sudden he marked more by the time we got back to the office once i refused to sign off. > Not only the guys are unbelievably rude and unprofessional but they do not provide any information regarding the cars and all they try to do is sell insurance. I believe i got totally ripped off and not only i will dispute any charges with my bank but i will report them everywhere i possibly can. I rented a car to drive, not to put on display. 1. Booked via a web based search engine and booking agency. Selected this business as the search criteria included using the car in France as well as Britain. On collection was told this was not so, and that it was”nt their problem if their agent had got it wrong. Car was good except it had a hand brake that could not hold the car on a hill start and had to be put in gear if parked on a slope. Rented the car for 6 weeks. On return it was inspected and I was asked to sign a slip, and was told that there was no damage and no charges. On return to Australia I had an email saying they were going to charge me for cleaning an a scratched wheel. I protested and said if this occurred I would complain and list them via blog sites etc. I then got an email reply saying they had decided not to make any charges. This proved to be a lie as my account has been debited.

After the small accident (estim. max 400 euro for both car repair). One damage pic is attached. I” ve been asked to make per-authorization 1810 euro till the final claim is defined. When I checked the bill it was charge and not per-authorization. I asked to provide me the final claim and show amount, but all rep”s of Malta company are hiding, not responding to the calls or super busy, the similar story when I am calling to the main office in UK/International Green Motion. So few scratches for 1810euro and we also don”t have contract signed from my side to even pay any excess… Probably they think I will stop asking as I am expat in Malta, but it is not true statement I will go to the court, if this is a GM way to do the business ?? Agreement # RNP00002365 Date 22/11/18 I hired a car from Green Motion Poznan Airport, and have been charged excessively (910 Euros) for 2 very minor marks on the car, which could of already been there when I rented the car. The Original picture from before I hired the car were taken from distance, compared to the picture of the damages which have been taken from close up. If the same photo would be taken I”m sure the minor marks would not be visible. I have not even been given an Invoice for the repairs they say are required. AVOID AT ALL COSTS I rented a car via carrentals.co.uk and selected an agent called 121carehire which sent me to Green Motion in Heathrow. My experience was as follows:- 1. No bus to pick you up from the airport and ended up on a 40 minute to a Holiday Inn some considerable distance from the airport!!! Definitely not an Airport Car rental service!! 2. I have always taken the basic insurance package from every car hire company and have always opted fro the excess option which for the level of car I hire is generally 1, 000.00 pounds sterling when renting in the UK. 3. It was only when coming to sign the Green Motion agreement that I noticed that the excess of 1, 000.00 pounds sterling did NOT cover windows, lights, underside of vehicle, roof of vehicle and wheels… I was told it only covered the body work to the side, front and back of the vehicle so presumably did not include the engine. or interior This was the first time I have ever come across this in some 30 years of renting vehicles!!! 4. To get the level of cover I normally enjoy with the 1, 000.00 excess from any mainstream car hire company I would have to pay Green Motion an additional 30.00 pounds sterling per day which was more than 60% of my daily hire. 5. I was told that if I was involved in an accident that I could very well end up paying for the entire vehicle if it was written off even if I was not at fault. For example if I was struck by a driver who did not have insurance. Bearing in mind that there are almost 1.5 million drivers on UK roads that are uninsured then this become a very realistic risk. 6. The office did not have a copy of their insurance cover and was unable to reassure me about the level of insurance cover in the event that my family or I were injured. It should be noted that non of the above was in the terms and conditions that I reviewed when I accepted the 121carhire quote. This company claims to be “Green” and environmental which is absolute rubbish… they are not and hide behind the statement that there cars have low emission which is a UK Government requirement anyway! At the earliest opportunity I called the Green Motion customer service people and frankly wasted 40 minutes of my time. I ended up returning th vehicle and renting through a reputable company. This cost me over 50% of my rental cost which was for 19 days in total and I only had the vehicle for 3 days so I accepted a major financial hit. For me it was worth the loss of money purely for the peace of mind not to worry about the poor insurance cover and policies of this company. I had no problem with the staff who were nice people however even they were embarrassed by the company”s attempts to upcharge on every possible opportunity. I was not the only one who was misled as a gentleman from Dubai also has the same problem and when I returned the vehicle another Lady was shocked that she was not covered by insurance as she had been led to believe when she booked the car on the internet. This is a blatant attempt to increase the car hire charge by over 50% and as such this makes them far more expensive than the reputable companies such as Avis, Hertz, Thrifty, National, Enterprise and Europe Car… Avoid this company as their tactics are very underhand, sneaky and duplicitous!!! One final point is that we were planning to take the vehicle to France for a few days however the charge levied by Green Motion was over double that charged by the mainstream companies including an outrageous daily insurance charge… if your agent suggest this company then cancel the booking immediately if you wish to save an aggravating and worrying experience!!!

Car rental company: green motion in Orlando 7640 Narcoosee Road Orlando FI32822 [protected] Rental from the 14th to the 25th of august 2017 Car hire company is charging us 399 usd for a windshield damage. In their policy the term glass includes rear view mirrors and headlights. But nowhere is mentioned windshield or windscreen. They have taken the money with no prior notice and with no invoice for repairs. They have randomly made up an amount to charge us. We have paid for an umbrella insurance and the contract mentions that the preauthorised amount is for 200 usd only. Can you help please. Corrupt practises can be systematically and strategically set in place, even using legitimate paper work to con unsuspecting customers. A rouge car rental company can easily take advantage of the lack of expertise of lay customers, It can be a strategy to not inform customers of existing miniscule scratches, dents, or bumps (yes – bumps were indicated on their forms. I don’t know what it even means). Unsuspecting customers with an untrained eye would not be able to see it. There is this distinction between a trained eye that the professional car renter has and an untrained eye of a customer. It is in this lack of expertise that a rouge company can strategically and systematically exploit. The other thing rouge car rentals can exploit is the general trust tourists place in car rental companies, because of the trust built up from other reputable companies in UK and in home countries of customers. I am a Singaporean tourist and I am reporting to you how I have been scammed and taken advantage of as a tourist by the car company Greenmotion. I had booked a car with Greenmotion Heathrow Airport from 13-Apr 3pm to 16-Apr 10am. 1. Collection Upon car collection, staff Costa pointed out a little dent on the side and a scratch. Costa told me a scratch 1.5mm deep is considered a damage. I was immediately thankful that he had done so. What I didn’t know is that he did not indicate that scratch in the form he asked me to sign. I had trusted him and signed in good faith. 2. Return On returning the car, another staff Aniesh (not sure about his name) scrutinised that car under direct sun ray, saw that scratch and accused me of causing it. I denied it. I reasoned by relating about the “1.5mm-deep scratch” conversation I had with Costa. When we asked Costa, Costa denied and claimed that I had scrutinised the car for “30 minutes” that it was fine without scratch before driving away. This is untrue. I did not scrutinise the car. Absolutely not for 30min. My whatsapp conversations revealed I was rushing for my family at the airport and gave them a ten minute waiting gap upon car collection. 3. Under duress I had no choice but to pay for the charge under duress as I had a plane to catch and time was running out. I am such an easy target. 4. Unjustifiable terms For that frivolous faint scratch, I am charged me 324 pounds! Is this amount justifiable? 5. Why would Costa not indicate the scratch on my form and why would he lie? Philosophically, there’s no reasonable explanation except that fraud or ill-will is intended 6. Business Model built on Fraud? Think about this – 324 pounds for a miniscule scratch which I couldn’t even notice it at first. What kind of a policy is this for a car company wishing to build itself on good long term reputation? Back in Singapore, a BRAND NEW FULL CAR BODY PAINT job hardly requires one-sixth of that amount!

Date of Incident: 12/Feb/2016 Booking Number: RES0006197 I pick up the car at 7:00 am in the morning of 12th. They told me the car is brand new and never rented others before. And let me check the car. I check the main parts of the car includes alloys, door mirrors… When I returned the car at 20:45, they told me there is a scuff on the rear bumper, it is a 3cm scratch. I checked that it is very superficial. And they told me that was made by me. I need to pay 352pounds for the scratch. In fact, I use the car very carefully, I am sure that scratch was not made by me. But my fault is I did not notice that scratch in the morning. However, if times go back, I could not found that scratch either. Image that, how I can check the car like looking for the hair in the black sweater. Interesting thing is their staff could pointed out the scratch easily and directly within one minute, it seems that they knew the scratch was waiting there. I am a Chinese, they know my english is not good enough to justify my innocent, and they give me the only solution is to pay 352 pounds to repair the scratch. Finally, they take the money from my deposit of my credit card frozen money without my permission. Firstly, in my opinion, I fall into their trap. They insisted on sell me an extra insurance in the morning of the day I picking up the car, but I rejected. That is one of the reasons to charge me money for the fault not made by me. Secondly, the very slight scratch is worthing 352 pounds to fix. I did not have any chance to talk about the solution. The only choice they left to me is to charge me, and the amount is 352 pounds. Dear, On friday 13 th of january, I rent a car with your company in Trapani. When I had to pay my deposit of 200 euro, I couldn’t pay with my credit card, so greenmotion informed me to pay with bancontact (with a higher insurance rate). When I returned the car, greenmotion told me that the 200 euro would be transferred the day after and they took a copy of my banc card. Until know I didn’t receive anything back. Do not use Green Motion at all. Their initial rental prices may look cheap but its too good to be true. My father rented a car from them for a week in December 2013. Upon returning the car he was told that he had damaged 3 wheels and was threatened into paying the addition charges to repair these. The wheels were already scuffed from before and this was not caused by my father but as he is a heart-patient he did not argue as he felt threatened by the staff at Green Motion. Green Motion (RNT24825) (# RES00038279) (Booking Ref.1689300) On Nov. 27, 2017 I went to collect my scheduled rental, ready to pay the balance as stated on my coupon. As I have rented with them on two previous occasions within a three month period, I was familiar or so I thought, with their procedure and had all of the appropriate documents as before. I was now told that my valid, local insurance that they had accepted from me on two previous occasion was now not acceptable and they would have to charge me $15/day for supplemental insurance if I wanted to proceed. They insisted that this was my only option. Their argument was that my drivers license had to be from the USA as the insurance was based in the USA. I had the insurance document with my full legal name and the agent of the local insurance company on the line to verify my coverage and they refused to speak with him. Already late for a meeting and this being an off airport location, I was forced to pay $400 more than I anticipated for this rental. I have rented from most of the popular rental companies and have never experienced this problem with the same documents. An Awful experience! Customer service 0!

Green Motion International is the worse company to get a rental car. They charge my credit card for a toll violation. I reviewed my travel plans and noticed that I did not have the car in my possession at the time the violation occurred, but I was charged for the violation. I tried to call customer service several times, but no one picked up the phone. I googled the vendor and I found a phone number for corporate, but I noticed that the number was a long distance which created another problem. I tried several more days to call customer service, but no one picked up the phone, so I decided to call corporate. I spoke to someone in corporate that transferred me to customer service. I explained the error and I informed them that this was a long distance phone call, but they seem unconcerned. Green Motion indicated they would investigate and return my call, but it been two weeks and no one called me back. I”m now responsible for a toll violation that belongs to someone else and long distance charges that are more than the toll violation.

Green Motion Luton Airport I hired a car in Luton airport for 2 weeks. When we returned the car on 13/8/2012 the workman immediately spotted a tiny dent at a size of 2 mm on the left back door. At the beginning we didn”t know what he is talking about and I needed my reading glasses to see the “dent”. A picture I have taken with my digital camera doesn”t even show it. I asked the manager Mr. Leslie Shepherd if he is going to repair it and Mr. Shepherd stated “not necessarily”. He suggested that probably a car who parked next to his made this tiny damage when the door was opened in a car park nevertheless since he insists it”s the renter”s responsibility and thus I must pay for it. They charged me 150 GBP the full amount of the CDW excess I had, without repairing the car. I wonder how many more renters will pay for this particular “damage” !? I sent 2 e-mails to Green Motion headquarters” customer service which were ignored. Green motion rental agreement : ma4092 – ky12eyo Drop off date : 22nd april 2012 manchester airport When returning the rental car to green motion (manchester airport), the desk was unmanned but there was note saying that the keys should be dropped off at the radisson information desk. I took some photos or the car before leaving the car park to prove that there was no damage to the car. I contacted the company as there was an additional charge of gbp 216.00, green motion told me that this was for paint damage to the rear bumper. my photos clearly show that there was no damage at all to the bumper when I dropped the car off. green motion has since refused to refund or even communicate in anyway about this issue. Hello there It is over a month since I contacted you And got no answer Here is my clame again This is my final clame: 1. When I came to take the car I was told to pay 25 euro more then on the vaucher, becouse the car is about to be returned at 5:30am. But the time of return was on the vaucher. 2. After 3 days the car did not move. It was the clatch that colapsed. Maybe becouse of my driving, and maybe becouse it was half ruined when I recived the car. That was friday morning. And this is how the story begins: 2a. Green motion did not agree to send a track for the car to where it was (the car was on the side of a road between 2 vilages), so luckily a local man draged the car with his pickup+a rope to a junction neer by. It cost me 30 euro (no recipt). Only then green motion egreed to send a track to take the car, but he did not agree to send me a new car. He sayed that it will take 1 hour for the track to arrive, but it took 3 hours. All of that time I was waiting on the road. 2b. About 5pm we arrived to a town where there is a garrage for the car. I was told that if the garrage can fix it in 1-2 hours they will fix it, and if the garrage will say it takes more, he will send me a new car. Also I was told that I will get a taxi to a local hotel. The garrage was just about to close and they dont work on suturday. The track just droped me neer a taxi stand and I did not get a taxi as promissed. So I payed 10 euro for taxi (no recipt), and 45 euro for hotel (I did not want to stay in this town and I had my accimodation close to where the clatch of the car crashed). Still green motion did not send me a new car. 2c.in the morning green motion told me that he is just about to contact the garrage and letting me know what will be. After 2 hours that I did not recive any call from green motion (I was waiting all of that time at the hotel lobby) I called again, and only then green mottion discovered that the garrage does not work on suterday (very profesional). I was told that now that the dammage is 806 euro for me to pay, and that now they send me a new car that will arrive within 2-3 hours. The car arrived at 5 pm only and finaly I could continue my traveling. 3. My clame is: 25 euro that paid extra from what on the voucher. 30 euro paid to tha local man who helped. 10 euro paid for the taxi. 45 euro paid to the hotel. 806 euro paid to green motion for the dammage. Total clame 916 euro. And beside the money issue, is that a normal service? Why couldn’t the track be sent the moment I called? Why the new car coldn’t be sent after I called? Hello, I apologize if I”m posting this twice but I don”t think the first one submitted properly. No one from Green Motion has yet to respond to me despite my immediately telling agents that I would like make a formal complaint about this. I was given a car that was not properly inspected prior to me getting it. It was 60 miles past it”s service due according to the dashboard and had a tire that was low on air. When I returned the car I was told that the tire was low on air due to damage I incurred. This is absolutely NOT correct. If the car had been properly inspected prior to being loaned this would not have occurred. I told the agents when I returned the car as I felt that this was an obvious safety concern and was told someone would be in contact with me to discuss. I received a notification telling me I was being charged and making no mention to my requested dispute at all. I have responded to the email twice as it notes to do at the bottom and have received no answers. I upgraded my car at the last minute and therefore I believe I was given a car that was not properly inspected as a result. When I returned the car I immediately informed the agent of my concerns as I had spent the entire time I had it feeling quite concerned about it”s condition as it had clearly not been properly inspected.in hindsight, I should have returned back immediately, but in getting familiar with a car that was new to me, on new roads and in a new city, I made the mistake of not doing so. However, regardless of this fact, I was loaned a car that was not serviced or inspected prior to my receiving it and I am now being charged an excessive amount as a result. To top it off, I have received absolutely no acknowledgment of my concerns from Green Motion at all.

Hi i bought a prepaid sunpass at green motion Orlando airport after telling the assistant i was travelling around the Disney parks when she asked where i would be driving she said i would need it as toll are now everywhere in Florida but a week into a 3 week stay we have went through 4 tolls at a cost off $4:50 and having paid $195:50 for 3 weeks i rang and ask could i cancel the sunpass as it is aloud through sunpass its self and a refund is given for the remainder. but on ringing green motion at Orlando airport the customers manager Frank was nothing but cheeky and ignorant to myself and told lies saying he was the highest point of contact in the company but he is not the general manager is but he will not and refuses to let me speak to anyone and has hung the phone up twice on me and refuses point blank to cancel the sunpass at my request even know i have spoken to sunpass and this can be done but still Frank will not cooperate on this matter and is so rude about it im thinking of seeking legal advice on the matter …Is there anyone that can help me resolve this matter Colin

Hi. I was reluctant to give them even one star. My advise to everyone who wants.. Sorry considers using this company please don”t. The motto of green motion should be: If you want to loose money use our company!!! Ok now seriously their business is not renting cars but selling very expensive car insurances or if do not buy their insurance they will sell you very expensive car repairs i.e. For even a smallest scratch you can loose your 1200 euro!!! Deposit. So it works like that: You find them on the net and their rates are quite good comparing with others so you pay a deposit – hook #1 Then, 1 week before you pick up the car you pay the rest (automatically if you do not say nooo!!!) Then you go to pick up the car and they… Surprise surprise – show you the price list they will charge you for the damaged car and… The jaw drops since for say 3mm small scratch you pay between 200 and 500 euro!! Subject where the scratch is and what car you rent. The price list is in fine print and 2 page long. You will not find this list on line, no no – this list is their little secret. Now hook #2 you want to thank them very much and go elsewhere but.. You are loosing all your money you paid for the entire rent period. So what to do? Buy their insurance that is equal to your rent (whole period) in may case my rent was 350 euro for 2 weeks rent and insurance… 280 euro. So, I did not take insurance. Few hour after I dropped my car at the airport sitting on my plane back home I got the email: ” we found two scratches 3mm long on your roof and we charge you 750 euro – bang!! And in the same time you see all your 1200 euro deposit taken from your credit card. Luckily and I really say I was lucky I took photos of this place on the car when is was taking the car (the exact spot) and the scratch was already there. After few months of threatening them etc they returned my deposit. So was it worth it??? Definitely no Stay away from them!!! I use car renting companies a lot in various countries but I have not seen this type of tactic before and the defect price list is a master stroke. Cheers Tom

Highway Robbery – literally. If it was possible to give negative stars, I would. This is simply the most horrible, unethical company I”ve ever had the misfortune to encounter. After returning the car to Green Motion at Edinburgh Airport, my credit card was charged for damages that I am disputing were caused during my rental period. In addition, without notice or authorization, I was charged for damages that were not noted at drop off. And – the charge for “daily loss of use” is at a rate 7 times greater than my daily rental charge. A “scuffed wheel”, as described on the vehicle condition report and noted in photos I took at drop off, has cost me $1, 141.00. This does not includethe original rental charges No one from the company has returned my calls to the Green Motion service center nor has their been a response to my email. As I subsequently learned through reviews on sites such as YELP and Expedia, these are common Green Motion practices, experienced by many other travelers. I traveled for business and leisure for 40 years, renting cars all over the US and U.K. Green Motion is unique in it”s organized, apparently systematic rip-off practices. They should be ashamed. I would walk, dragging my luggage behind me, before I would ever rent from Green Motion again.

I booked a car using their website for 3 days (Fri-Sat-Sun) and paid 96 pounds with full insurance. On the collection day at Birmingham Airport branch, there was a warning regarding weather so I sent them an email inquiring that if I collect the car on Sat, Is there a possibility of a refund for 1 day (Friday only). My query was forwarded to the rental agents and they said I will be notified via email or call. Tried calling few time but no answer. So I went to collect the car on Friday evening. Upon presenting the booking, I was told that my whole booking has been cancelled and processed for a refund as requested. I was baffled as I never asked for a refund I only inquire about the refund and refund was for 1 day only. I was never sent a notification or expected to be refunded. The advisor Katie and Store Manager Jordan assured me that the 96 pounds will be 100% refunded to my account within 14 days. I needed the car so I made a new booking this time for 2 days (Sat and Sun). I asked for similar price and similar car I paid for my first booking but with additional driver this time. They upgraded the car with no extra charge and quoted me 125 pounds with full insurance. I took the car, used and return with no issue. After 2 weeks I checked my statement, there was no refund for the 1st booking made. So I called customer service for a follow up. Customer service would take note and promise to get back to me but never. I emailed the customer service. After series of calls and emails, they told me that there is nothing to be refunded as the money from my 1st online booking (96 pounds) was used on my 2nd booking made in store. I was shocked as that was not as agreed by the Store Manager and the advisor. Customer service said that they cannot do anything what have been said in store. All they can see in their system is that the money from 1st booking was used in 2nd and as the 2nd booking was paid in store using chip and pin method, it automatically validates the sale and their terms and conditions. When I checked the rental agreement they did sneakly added the 1st booking voucher onto my 2nd booking and made me pay extra 125 pounds. So in total, I paid 221 pounds for 2 days. Unbelievable. Never using them again. Completely misguided and mislead by the Store Manager Jordan and the Advisor Katie.

I had agreed with your company (voucher# 3642575) to rent a car from Green Motion for 3 days. I paid you $15.65 and was to pay Green Motion at pick up the balance of $45.93. After the 3 days I was charged $136.26 (Rental Agreement RNT41317) by Green Motion for things that I never asked for or was told was in the agreement. Also the $15.65 that I paid to your company was never deducted from their bill so I ended up paying over $151 instead of $61 as we had agreed upon!!

I have booked a car for pickup on [protected] using Ryanair.Com. Booking number is GB594709470. I was charged CHF 53.94 by Ryanair on 20th May. When I went for collecting the car on 22nd May, the rental car model I have choosed FIAT 500 was not available. Booking agent has told me that the car doesn’t have fuel in it. He offered me a free upgrade to a Honda Jazz. I took it reluctantly as I prefer a small car for ease of driving and parking purposes. Today I have checked my credit card statement. GreenMotion has charged extra GBP 79.80 to my credit card account on 24th of May for no reason. I would like a full refund of the same.

I have made a reservation for 8 days in Kos Airport, Greece. I made the booking at rentalcars.com . We received extremely poor service from the company in Kos Airport. I am most annoyed that we wasted a morning (and half a day of our vacation) arguing with the man at the front desk. Unfortunately we did’t have a credit card with us so according to their police we couldn’t pay otherwise the deposit. However before us there was a British couple, who gave him a debit card for the deposit and he accepted it! (even if they say that is out of their terms and conditions.) We felt that he was making fun of us. So at the desk office was an extremely rude man who did not gave us neither a refund of the 127euros we have paid online but also when we told him that we will rend another car for 160 euros but we will write a letter to the company about his indescribable behavior he said that he would give us the car with 15 euros/a day but since we will inform the company, we get it with 20 euros a day!! I find this unacceptable and impolite for any customer. As the most unacceptable behavior i have ever seen was your employ, he completely ruined our vacation and showed us how impolite and rude people can be just to make profit. He was under a legal obligation to offer the new car at a certain price not tell us that he would give us the card 15 euros but because of writing a letter to the company, he would not make any discount and give us the car for 20 euros. And of course when we asked for the receipts of the two cars we paid, he told as that we would get it when we return the car. It was not a surprise that we NEVER GOT A RECEIPT for the 160 euros and 127 euros (rentalcars) we paid. I would like to mention also that before and during the booking i was trying million times to call at their office in Kos island in the number it appears online +[protected] but it wasn’t working. So i could not get any direct information about their terms. This caused considerable disappointment and inconvenience and as a result I had to hire an alternative car. The above make me feel cautious about the quality of your service. I informed the company and rentalcars as well in order to provide us a refund, at least an amount of the first car we paid online and never got they replied that it is my fault and they can not do anything. Terrible Staf. Minus 100 stars if possible. Worst car rental experience ever. I’ll NEVER come close to doing business with Green Motion. I also found out that they are ranked as one of the WORST car rental companies. Be careful not to lure you with “cheap” prices. They will fraud you at the end by extra fees and any other extra charge.

I hired a car from Green Motion at Manchester Airport in February 2011. When I picked the car up I was told that I had to leave a 750 pound security deposite, refundable on return of the car without damage. According to the web site this amount should have just been held against my credit card, not debited. I returned the car with no more damage than already noted prior to hire, and had my return form signed to that effect. I was told my deposit would be released within 3 days. This was 7th March. By the time I got my credit card statement 3 weeks later, the amount was still on the card. I tried to contact Green Motion accounts department. Eventually someone answered the phone and said they would have to call me back. They never did. Now they just don”t answer the phone. Emails to Green Motion just result in a recommendation to get a charge back via my credit card company, but the accounts department never responds to any emails at all. This will take about 2 months in total, meanwhile I have had to pay my credit card bill. We”ve had no correspondence from Green Motion saying they have any reason to keep the money. It simply amounts to fraud & theft. I would advise anyone against using Green Motion at any depot.

i just got charged $107 from you guys. I called the green motion number and the person told me it was a “parking violation”. I rented a car from you guys from July 22 to July 28 and I received a car with expired tags. Being that you are a rental place I never thought to look at the tags, you guys should be able to take care of that before handing out cars. Anyway, I went to biscayne bay and parked the car, paid for parking and went on. When I came back there was a ticket on the window so I was confused because I still had time left for parking. When I looked and read the ticket it said “expired tags”. When I returned the vehicle, I specifically told the guy who checked me out about the ticket and gave it to him and he said not to worry that they will take care of it. Now 2 months later I”m being charged? I called 3 Times now and spoke to different people and nobody can seem to help. One of the guys told me that if I ask for the manager she would just say “handle it yourself because I don”t have time for that” what kind of business is this? And I don”t understand why I would need to contact the police for a copy of the ticket. YOUR COMPANY GAVE US EXPIRED TAGS!!! I don”t even have the information from the car and he wants me to call the police? This is a inconvenience to us being that we are getting charged because the man that checked us out FORGOT to make a note stating that we shouldn”t get charged for the ticket, since that”s what he said he would do. This is RIDICULOUS! First of all, it was not my fault and now they are telling me it”s a parking violation? And second, it wasn”t even taken care of when they said it would? I picked up the car on a dark wet evening. We were given a condition report form showing only 1 fault to the bodywork. I then checked the bodywork with a flashlight before leaving the parking area. I found 7 faults on the bodywork and wheel trim. I went back into the office to ask why these other faults were not shown on the condition report form, I was told that they had all the damages listed on the computer. I asked that they show all the faults on my copy of the form to ensure that on my return I would not be charged for existing damages. How many people drive away without checking the existing damages only to have a claim made on their excess insurance upon there return? I also pointed out that the car was dirty internally and externally although it was part of my contract to return the car in a clean condition. We travelled round the corner to the IBIS HOTEL where we stayed overnight. In the morning we had to clean the inside of the windscreen as it was very greasy and made visibility dangerous. I received the car with damages in 3 tires. When I return the car on 19 September 2018 they said there is new damage in already damaged tire. I said I didn’t do anythink but of course I couldn’t prove it, because I didn’t take picture while I receive the car. I just found from my webbank that money was gone. They kept on sending me pictures of scratches that were definitely not mine and then Green Motion just stole my money. I rented a car from this company 24th Januaryto February 7th, I was also charged the deposit of 750 pounds and the decuction was made from my credit card. Upon returning back to Canada it was approx 4 weeks before I was refunded, this after several emails sent to them. Approx two weeks later my credit card was deducted 80 pounds. I immediately contacted there complaints department via email but this took several attempts to find out what this deduction was for. I was informed by there manchester office that this was for a traffic offence and the information was being sent to the addrees I supplied on my rental agreement. To date I still have no proof that I did in fact get a traffic offence and have tried to email there complaints department but have had no response from them. This is the worst I have ever been treated by a car rental company and would not recommend this company to anyone. What would my course of action to try and recoup my losses, but as I can see from other complaints I did at least get back my deposit. Brian

I rented a car on holiday autos.com who lists Green Motion Poland´s fleet. I picked up the car and used it during my stay 3 days in Poland. I returned it, check for damage and all is fine, took no photos, i should have… They sent me a report few weeks later that there was a damage to the car and they will notify me with an invoice about the damage. this car was used a lot many marks from the start, also stated in the damage report i signed before hiring, and also not what i ordered, but similar model they say, Now they sent photo stating there is small scarp marks, but picture not showing any scrap marks, and they already charged my credit card for 5630 :- SEK without letting me know. If you rent a car and always need to take picture as proof of the condition that is not easy, here we have a car used a lot and condition report also stated many scrap marks from the start, even on same spot, but I cannot use report for this claim, that is [censor] all over… This is a scam company for sure. Stay away!

I returned a car and they found a small mark on the windshield. It is not a crack, it is not a hole, it is just a stain literally smaller than 2mm. I was charged EUR 155 for that. If you look Google reviews, Tripadvisor and Trust Pilot, your will figure out that they run a professional scam scheme. It happens everyday. Avoid at all costs. It is impressive that nobody never tried to stop them.

I returned a VW Golf to Green Motion Manchester after a fortnights hire on 24th May 2014. Due to our 0925 flight we arrived at the offices at 0630 and you would expect the offices to be open – but no they are closed. Its closed conveniently so its classed as an “out of hours” return. What these means is that under their Terms and Conditions, if a vehicle is returned out of hours you are liable for any damage to that vehicle! I returned their car clean and in a presentable condition with NO DAMAGE whatsoever. That night after my flight I find an email saying damage has been found on the vehicle in relation to scratches to the bonnet and wing and 2 stone chips, they go on to say that they will be sending it to their garage for a damage quote. Now they have 750 of my money in respect of “damage excess”? A few days later, the so called quote comes back with a repair amount to 850 pounds! A few days later this money was removed from my account. The so called company that they send their cars to a for a quote (they don”t they just print the garage company letter headed paper off and put their own damage and amount in) is a company called IMI Body Tec of Bolton. Have no doubt they are in this little scam as well. This scam amounts to Fraud and should be investigated without doubt by Greater Manchester Police. Trawling the web pages for Green Motion Reviews this seems a familiar pattern of their practices and should be stopped. I would gladly go before a British Court and plead my innocence in the hope that their corrupt practice is identified, the offenders found guilty and punished. It is out and out Fraud.

I tell this to all friends of mine, my relatives, my family: always check and take photos of a care you’re going to rent BEFORE you go for a trip. If you have no proofs that your car was in a good condition from the very first day, they will find scratches and things like this and will make you pay for something you probably didn’t cause. Green Motion is not the only one car rental company that uses this practice, so this warning is about all similar services. Be careful and attentive, people!
