Habitat for Humanity said we qualified for a home improvement loan because our bathroom was in unsafe condition. They charged us $3500 for supplies and used unskilled people to do the work, thus resulting in an uneven floor and now the toilet is leaking. A professional plumber estimates it will take $2500 to replace the floor under the toilet, which we do not have. Habitat is always patting themselves on the back with all their news stories and fancy dinners, wasting money and taking advantage of those who aren’t wealthy to begin with. They did nothing but exploit us and used us in their news stories, when we strictly said we did not want to be on television. I cuss them out every time I try to clean that dysfunctional bathroom as there are wedges protruding from underneath the toilet to keep it from rocking on an uneven floor. I think we would have been better off doing the work ourselves, unskilled in such matters as we are. I think we could have done better. We have to pay off the loan even though they wasted the materials. Rot in Hell, Habitat.
