Handyman Club of America proposed a novel idea to me. How naive could I be ! Seemed straight forward pay money get some cheap tools made in china and a quarterly magazine to feed your hopes. As far as tool trials were concerned, I tried nearly a dozen times to participate in testing tools I could use and provide feedback on. Stonewalled, totally ignored by Handyman Club of America. | Then came their next proposal “Lifetime Memberships” the seemingly big opportunity for someone like me who desires to delve deeper into DIY opportunities and learn. Payed my money, got a few cheap chinese made bits. Promised more opportunities and products free. I was told I would receive VIP treatment from them in the future. I got nothing! No product, no responses to my requests or emails. Then came the next level Scam a new Special Lifetime Membership offer with the same usual hype. | Well this time I did not bite! I called them direct on it. Their attitude was just well this is the direction we are going. This is how we are moving forward. I asked what about me? and other lifetime members? Do we have to spend more money to receive what was already promised to us? The answer was Yes. Bottom line, too bad! | I paid alot of money to them and wanted the promises. So I continued to pursue the opportunities I paid for and deserved. They never replied to any correspondence or calls. I usually receive my quarterly magazine which is a lot of reprints that just look a little different as far as articles. The ads do more to show me what is new in DIY. | This company is based on empty promises and cheap products. This company owes me! and others big time.
