As a psychologist, I believe in forming a positive relationship with my clients, by providing them with a safe and nonjudgmental environment, empathy, genuineness, and collaborative effort. I believe psychotherapy is an essential tool for today’s society in order to cope with life stressors, ailments, and psychological distress. Ultimately, my goal is to promote positive changes in my client’s life, help alleviate emotional distress, and help create healthy relationships within their lives.I utilize an eclectic approach with psychotherapy grounded in cognitive-behavioral techniques and attachment theories. According to the individual client’s need, I incorporate a variety of techniques that range from structured and directive, to identifying thoughts that effect how we feel, and exploring emotions to gain insight into ones maladaptive interpersonal patterns.I am fully bilingual in both English and Spanish, and enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and couples. My practice offers a safe and soothing environment with a focus on quality clinical services.
