You can only start where you are, and take one step at a time towards healing. Hernan enjoys helping individuals & families achieve their personal & emotional goals at their own comfortable pace. He understands that each individual is unique & tailors his approach to each situation, with consideration of cultural & other impacting factors. Specializing in counseling in Spanish, Hernan has a wide range of experiences in working with children, adolescents, adults & seniors in English as well. He enjoys helping clients work through various issues including stress, anxiety, depression, adjustment to life changes (grief/loss, divorce, illness), marital issues, & substance abuse.His vast experience includes multiple modalities of treatment including individual, couple, family & group. Hernan has provided therapy in various settings including on-site in the Collier County Public Schools, the Collier County Juvenile Detention Center, & various community agencies, in addition to private practice.Although Hernan a faith base trained therapist, he is a devout Christian Catholic & he is extremely receptive to utilizing the clients’ spiritual & religious beliefs & practices upon their request as part of their treatment.
