We Purchased a Samsung Gearfit Watch on HH Gregg’s website on Cyber Monday. The device is malfunctioning, and will not boot up just keeps saying reboot. We have been in touch with Samsung. They tried to troubleshoot. It will not work. They have told us the serial number is not a valid serial number. They will not do anything for us. It appears this is a counterfeit device bought on HH Gregg’s website. I have tried to contact them via email, Facebook and have sent them the copy of their original receipt along with my request for a refund. I have tried to contact their corporate office, and have been on hold for over an hour. HH Gregg needs to make this right and will not contact me. I will be contacting my attorney and launching a full investigation into deceptive sales and practices as well as contacting anyone else who has been wronged by HH Gregg if HH Gregg does not take this device back and give us a refund. I would welcome anyone else who has been wronged by them to write a post. I am willing to file a class action suit against them. This stinks of fraudulent business practices. This is how loyal customers are treated? They are completely ignoring my requests. Do not shop for anything at HH Gregg. You will regret it. I feel we have been scammed.

A coworker of mine went there to purchase a new refrigerator and large flat screen TV, She chose to do the X amt of days/months same as cash to make her near $1, 000 purchase. The girl asked me, and the others, and I quote, “please give me your home address so I can verify that she gave it to me correctly.” I did so, only to find out that my friend NEVER gave any of them our addresses… why would this person ask for OUR addresses??? Then, my friend called her today, as she was told to, told the girl that she gets out of work at 3 pm, and she was coming over immediately after, when she got there, the girl was getting in her car, looked right at her and kept going. We find out she was “going for her dinner”. when she KNEW my friend was on her way. Absolutely unacceptable. What is wrong with this country anymore???? Yes, this is a veritable drop in the bucket of life, but they just lost that $1, 000 sale.

After Christmas, I purchased a TV and Blu Ray player from HH Gregg. Paid >$2500. After 13 days, the Blu Ray player died. When I called the store I was able to speak to the GM Dan Miller (He said he was the GM and top guy). I inquired into getting a replacement. He stated no problem, but it would be at least 3 weeks before he got more stock of the particular model player. He was not confident in the 3+ weeks. I inquired into a similar model, but they had none in that price range. I asked for a refund of the price I paid to purchase a replacement elsewhere and he said no way. He kept quoting the 10 day refund policy and I was at day 13! I can understand this if he can replace my unit or at least get me something comparable, but since he cannot, I should get a refund. It makes no sense to hold me hostage for 3+ weeks (again, maybe 3 weeks, maybe more…he was not confident in when he can expect more in stock). Dan Miller was extremely unprofessional, rude, arrogant, and just plain argumentative. I felt like I was talking to a 4th grader! I could not believe they would have such a terrible refund policy, especially because they were selling their great customer service – “don”t buy the equipment at Amazon for less money because if you ever have a problem, we will stand behind you and take care of you, not like any other store”. That”s right, any other store has 30-90 day refund policies, without restocking fees!! I had a 13 day old unit (only watched 1 movie on it before it died), spent over $2500 with these incompetent people, and was treated horribly. Additionally, it is fraudulent for HH Gregg to make statements surrounding their $120+ HDMI cables being REQUIRED in order to use my new TV. Now, I know better, but I feel for the many people who buy that BS and get conned into spending $120 when a $6 cable is 100% as good.

After seeing a sale in the local paper for a Curtis 32″ LCD HDTV I went to the hhgregg on capital blvd Raleigh, NC. 3rd time in store, 1st purchase and as expected I get attacked by the car salesman type vultures waiting for there prey to walk in. 1st day of the sale they tell me they do not have it in stock (hmm) and then proceed to try and sell me a higher priced model (of caurse) and they inform me that the sale item won’t be here for a month. So I say fine, I’ll wait then. So 3 weeks later they call the wrong number (I gave them 2) and tell me they can’t get the TV THEY ADVERTISED! and now I have to settle for a lesser model which just happens to be there main brand. (imagine that) Like most reviews in here I recieved no appology and was told that I could have my money back and walk, so after setting up my system cables, tv stand, dvd player, computer and all the cables for the past 3 weeks I now have to walk out empty handed and begin hunting for another set. This was my 1st and last experience with hhgregg. I normaly would not go to this extent to complain, but after finding this site and seeing all the negative reviews I just had to help it along. hhgregg should be shut down and I feel that it will happen soon enough. After walking in the store on 3 occations now and see the store empty of shoppers and full of salesman it’s only a matter of time.

Amana refrigerator purchased in 8/02 stopped cooling. We have a 10 major component warranty for the product. Called for service and was informed that warranty was cancelled, that I would have to call store for verification. Store verified and stated that verification was sent to service company and should show up after 24 hours. Many phone calls and hours later I am still trying to get service on said refrigertor. I have escalated to the the customer relations department at the service company (GE Assurant). I have emailed my service contract and bill of sale showing that warranty is in deed still in effect until 2012. Still no reply or service. I will never buy from HH Gregg again and will warn everyone to beware.

Beware of the “Promotional 0%” offers that HHGREGG is very quick to sell you on. They failed to explain to me that once the 12 months has expired and if your balance is not completely paid off; you pay a 29.99% finance charge for the entire 12 months on the spot. My tv was $1100 and I ended up paying $315 in finances charges alone right after the 12 months expired. Eventhough, I never missed a payment and my balance at the end of the 12 months was less than $500. I called to see if they would work with me, even a little bit but they didn’t care. And, people at HHGREGG were very quick to sell me the TV but didn’t bother explaining the terms of the promotion. Never shopping there again.

Bought a kitchenaid dishwasher that was exchanged at delivery, but the PSP was not transferred to the new unit. Am being told HHGregg can not help me, now that I need service, as I was refunded the PSP contract amount. The refund, I was told was for the difference in cost of the two dishwasher models, not for the refund of the extended service plan. Now I have a lower priced dishwasher that does not work, I did not get any consideration on the price difference when exchanged and I do not have the extended service I purchased either. The CSR I spoke to indicated there was absolutely nothing HHGRegg would do to help me, even though I have purchased every appliance in my house there and spent thousands of dollars. They can not help me with a $79.99 issue.

Bought a tv on July 3, 57″-got it home, watched for a few days, it was too big. Called HH Gregg told them I wanted to bring it back-just way too big-It took over an hour on the phone for them to “ok” my return (what happened to the 10 day return policy?)~they told me clinically my tv was not too big for my living room. Got to the store, and well they didn’t have the paperwork. The problem with the return, I wanted a credit back on my HH Gregg card, they wanted to give me a store credit-I didn’t want to be locked into HH Gregg if I couldn’t find something suitable. Offered me a free warranty if I’d buy there-so look for new tv. Find one, for more than I originally bought, no problem, asked, is same warranty etc still apply, can I return this one..Salesman Matt Salazar says “yes, everything still applies”… I get it home try to hook it up, sparks flying out of tv. Called cable, they say disconnect everything, and we’ll schedule an appt for repair. So we unplug everything, notice the surge protector broke. So go buy a new one. Tried again, same problem. Called cable back told them problem, they question if my outlet is bad, we replace the outlet, new surge protector. TV still acting up. Cable finally gets here, the cable guy gets shocked, my carpet gets burnt, and after trouble shooting, its not the cable its the 2200.00 tv! Call HH Gregg, get stuck talking to Andrea in Indianpolis, VERY RUDE-talks over me constantly, asks a question about the problem, I tell her the cable guys here let him explain it, she says she dosent want to talk to a cable person-to make a long story short. The local HH Gregg tells me-The tv was sold as all sales final-they will call sony to see if it can be fixed. They wont take the tv back and I am in my 10 return period! Oh and since I didn’t buy their extended warranty-carpet is not covered… (What happened to the free warranty if I bought another tv there?).

Bought an Hitachi Plasma. Had problems since day one. HH Gregg would not take it back and had to call Norman Electronics (some company they use for repairs) to repair. Bought Frigidaire ref with extended warranty.Ref. icemaker quit and was serviced every Tues for 7 weeks. Eventually lost everything and they fixed following week as scheduled. Ref works but no icemaker. Conatacted GE., complained about service and they offered to replace with new one. Went to HHGregg, Clarksville, Tn and paid for a replacement. Chose Whirlpool for replacement and told it would be delivered in 9 days, they claim would ship from store in Indiana. Now they tell me they have it on back order. I don’t know when I will ever get this worked out. I do not recommend purchase from this company. They are not what they claim in their advertisements.

Customer Service, Manager, & installation HORRIBLE! Stove & Refrigerator both installed & BOTH damaged had gas leak for first time in over 40yrs due to installers not knowing what they are doing. Frig had 6″long by 1″wide dent but still installed. Had to call store & got transferred around & on the phone for half hour with these people. Manager lied about everything when we explained the situation. Its been a week & still don’t have a replacement stove yet. Frig was replaced two days after first installation but was left without a Frig the weekend before Thanksgiving. If something goes wrong with HH Gregg don’t expect it to be resolved in a timely matter. You don’t get any special treatment or any faster service & they don’t seem to care about it either. No appologies, no discounts off delivery, NOTHING. I tell everyone NOT to buy from HH Gregg!

Dishwasher delivered on 1/17/2011, Delivery guy broke counter top while installing dishwasher. Nobody from hhgregg has done anything about this and today is 2/1/2011. Called customer service and after about 45 minutes and one idiot named bill, I reached Mary (the manager of customer service). Mary informed me that hhgregg is not responsible for breaking my property but the delivery service should be responsible. I informed her that I had already tried to contact the delivery service (who is a subcontractor) one week ago and received one phone call back from Mr. Muncie who said he would get right on it. Still no action from anybody. It was a surprise to find out that this company uses subcontractors who are not responsible- they came wearing hhgregg shirts and represented themselves as employees of the company. The tv was cheapest at SEARS, but we decided we would rather buy a tv from an electronics store since they specialize in tvs. So after leaving SEARS with the price written down on the SEAR”S salesmans business card, we drove home. On my way home, I called HH GREGG to see if they would price match. After the receptionist checked with a manager on duty, she came back on the phone to say “YES, we can match that price”. (They never mentioned their 10% price match guarantee either… SCAMMERS!) I gave her my name, asked her to hold that tv for me, and said I would come by HH GREGG the following day to purchase, pay, and pick up the tv. So the next day comes, and we walked into the store. We were ready to pay and complete the sale after a long wait of about 20 min, as they scrambled around to make the sale happen. Then the manager on duty, said he couldn”t match the price, and they wouldn”t sell us the tv for the price that had already been verified the night before by a different manager! He never said sorry, and even though the same women who had taken my call was there in person, and verified she had clearance from the manager on duty the night before, the manager on location that day said NO! They continued to act like they were calling SEARS to verify the price we had told HH GREG this tv set was being sold for, just across the street! The attitude from the manager was unfriendly, unfair, and basically treated us like we were crazy liars! So we told the manager and staff in front of an empty store without a single customer in it, that we would buy the tv across the street at SEARS, and that”s exactly what we did. Not only that, but we came back to the store, and walked up to the manager, and showed him the receipt as proof! Obviously he lost a customer for good! I”ll never go into another HH GREGG ever! High pressure salesman, poor selection, and an odd variety of items to say the least. Do NOT waste your time going to HH GREGG. Friday, April 24, 2009, approximately 12:30 p.m. EST — purchased refrigerator from HH Gregg and scheduled delivery for Sunday, April 26. Paid with check in full. Sunday, April 25, 2009, 6:30 a.m. EST — received call from delivery department stating that delivery would be between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. And 40 minutes prior, would receive call from delivery person letting me know they were on their way. At 5:30 p.m. I called the delivery number and was told that it had been a really bad, overscheduled delivery day with many problems, difficult deliveries, etc, but that I should receive my refrigerator in about an hour. At 7:30 p.m., I again called the delivery service and was told the truck was in another town about an hour south of mine and also got the same sad story about difficult deliveries. The person who identified himself as the manager (and the only manager) said that he expected delivery would be about 11:00 p.m. or midnight. I told him (quite unpolitely) that this was not at all acceptable. He said he could deliver it on Monday and I advised him that too was not possible since I work and could not miss. He did offer to schedule the delivry at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27. (I suppose he was hard of hearing or just plain didn”t care.) I was irate and told him no, I could not be home and wait since I had to work and to cancel the complete order. His response was a quite laid back “Okay, if that”s what you want.” Sunday, April 26, about 9:00 p.m. I wrote the Better Business Bureau and our local TV”s “troubleshooter”. Monday, April 27, 2009, about 10:00 a.m. I called the store on Hurstbourne Lane and asked for the store manager and was told I was speaking to her. I requested that the order be cancelled, told her I had stopped payment on the check, and also briefly related the delivery problems. She said she would take care of it. Friday, May 1, 2009, 7:30 a.m. I checked my bank account since it”s payday — HH Gregg has forced payment on the check. Great. I”m now writing the BBB again, as well as following up with the Troubleshooter. No telling when I”ll get my money back.

GE Money, the finance partner with HH Gregg, is a credit supplier which should be avoided. I financed an Electric Range on their 12 months same as cash program and have been hit with late payment charges twice. I pay my monthly payment Electronically, and they seem to delay processing the payments. I pay several bills due on this date at the same time. Everyone else posts the payments and everything works like electronic payments are suppossed to work. Not GE. I was told to contact my Bank. So my response is “I will not shop at HH Gregg” and express my disappointment with GE to as many others as possible. I”m paying the balance off and HH Gregg can screw someone else.

Had a washer and dryer delivered. There was a big gash on left side that wasn”t there when we took out contract.there is flaky white paint peeling off that looks very fresh. The delivery drivers were in such a hurry you would think they were late to their own wedding. Did not ask if everything looked ok or asked any questions. We asked them if there was anything to sign. HH Gregg advertised a Toshiba LCD HDTV in the Sunday flyer. Went to the store as soon as they opened that morning to find out that the only one left is a floor display and it isn’t for sale. They then steer me to some other models, all at least $300 more than the one advertised. They employed several high pressure sales techniques and acted rather aggressive. Thankfully there is a Frys and Best Buy nearby, so I managed to extract myself from the store, avoiding another salesperson at the door who tried to convince me not to leave without purchasing the TV (not many left, they said, we have the lowest prices, they said). Imagine my surprise when I found several of the same models at Best Buy and Frys for at least $100 less than HH Gregg. The model I ended up purchasing was only $677 at Frys (HH Gregg had theirs for $899…only one left and you won’t find a lower price, they said). Out of curiosity, I went back a week later to look at DVD recorders after checking prices at several competitors to find the pricing at HH Gregg to be higher and the sales techniques sleazy. I recommend you avoid HH Gregg, can’t think of any reason to shop there as better prices and more pleasant service can be found elsewhere.

HH Gregg are scam artists they will show you the item you want and tell you it is the latest. Which is true cause it is the display but at time of purchase they will do a bait and switch and sell an older model at the same price as the latest and greatest. If you try and return anything they do not give money back if it cost more than 100 dollars. They will mail you a check from corporate in 7-10 days. HH Gregg as an organization reminds me of the old school communism found in 20th Century Russia. That is to say they dont give a hoot about their employees” personal lives; on the contrary, they think you exist only for the benefit of their company, and that your personal life or any of your circumstances dont matter one iota. I worked last Black Friday and the several days after, logging 38 hours in the store in only the three days! During that time I sold 27, 000 worth of merchandise- and thought a nice compensation was forthcoming. However after this extraordinary effort, the folowing check I made minimum wage for the two week period. I was later tipped off by the other employees that during sales, like Black Friday, New Years, etc. they ( HH Gregg ) raise the ” landed cost” on their merchandise and thereby reducing the profit, even though all of the stuff is bought beforehand. In other words, by doing this they steal from their own employees. SO much for loyalty and killing yourself every holiday- and, by the way you are there every waining hour of every single holiday! Whats sad is that by the weakening of the Dept of Labor and Unions, many other companies might imitate HH Greggs work practices because they are profitible- but at the expense of human beings. Its a sad statement of where our society and country are heading.

HH Gregg is a public company but still allow HR violations including ones spelled out in their handbook to occur. For example they are turning a blind eye to a situtation occuring in their Murfreesboro, TN location. An Assistant Manager (female) and male sales associate are allowed to have a relationship and even reside in the same house. They work in the same store side by side. Now let”s talk about a CONFLICT OF INTEREST. Gregg is very inconsistent when it comes to these issues.

HH Gregg messed up a kitchen installation. Bottom-line is that they drilled unecessary (and huge) holes in my new custom cabinets then only to find the appliance didn’t fit. At first, they gave me a free hood to hide the damage and substituted the built-in microwave for a free standing. I told them I didn’t want a free standing one because I didn’t think it would fit so I wanted that money back. They told me to hold on to it until the kitchen was done and then if I didn’t want it, I could return it. About six months later my custom kitchen was completed and the free standing microwave didn’t fit. They are refusing to take it back saying it’s been too long. They never gave me a time limit and anyone who has been through a custom renovation knows it takes a long time. I’m fuming! I will never give them a dime because they didn’t keep their word and they don’t seem to care. I took this to the corporate level and their response was basically to sue them.

HH Gregg sells you extended warranties and will do nothing to help you get your TV fixed or replaced. For about 2 months now I have had no TV. The repair man said Hitachi does not make the board for my 57 TV any longer, the so called warranty I paid $400 for said a board needs repaired. The repairman says they cant fix the board because its intermittent problems. Called HH Gregg about 6 times or more and they said they couldnt help me. They sold the extended warranty to another company and they are out of the picture. When I bought the TV with extended warranty I was told new parts for repair or I would get a new TV. I have now been told that if they would replace the TV I would not get the same brand and it would not cost the $2400 I paid, they have to depreciate the TV because its not new any longer, and I may end up with around a $1000 TV but they might send out another repairman to recheck it out and they cant give me any idea how long this all will take, and there is no time limit! HHGregg sure wants you to buy the extended warranty but will do nothing to help you after that…

Hhgreg has the worst customer service ever. i recently made a purchase for washer and dryer from your Matthews, nc Store. i purchase a brand new dryer, and the washer was open box, but i was told it never been displayed or sold to anyone. before i made a purchase, i inspected the washer, and it was in mint condition. i scheduled my delivery for march 19th. i never received my delivery, and when i called to inquire, i was told my order was sold to someone else, and that model been discontinued, and there are no more new washer and dryers in stock. when i spoke to store manager, he rudely said, ” either you take used merchandise or cancel the order” finally they sent me a floor model washer and dryer ( full of scratches ). i spoke to the store manager, and he said there are no options for me. i filed a complaint with Hhgreg’s consumer affairs department, i spoke to Debra katra and her manager danna several times. they were no help at all. i was given an option again and again to cancel my order. when i made my purchase, i spent the whole day to purchase. why did i have to do it again. then ms katra said, i can buy the model which replaced my order, and i have to pay the difference of about $1500 more on top of what I’ve already paid. i wasted almost a month to resolve this issue, seems like No one cares. Ms Katra said carelesly to file a complaint with the CEO. there is too much to say, and cant even type all that. bottom line is, i would recomend every single person i know, not to shop at Hhgreg. we as a consumer have many choice.i am willing to provide more info if there is anyone out there from Hhgreg, who cares about consumers.

HHGregg has terrible business practices in employee relations. Although they claim to be family operated, and family focused, this company requires salaried managers to work open to close shifts 3 times a week! Upon hire, managers are told they will work the standard 45 hour work week, until peak season. It”s a lie. They also have weeks where they only have one day off, and they are often required to work extra. A typical retail schedule is a morning manager works 8-5 and a closer works 1-10. The others fill in or take their day off. But not here! They employ a measly 3 managers per store, and respond to suggestions to hire a 4th manager with “Ok, then we will cut your salary by a percentage.” From a company that pays bonuses on negative comps, and makes a TON of money each day, they don”t even stand against companies that make way less, and yet still make sure their managers are not burned out. It”s no wonder HH Gregg has internal theft problems, and a high rate of turnover. The managers they hire are low caliber. Everyone knows that you can hire a single person who has no life and work them till they quit. Or you can hire family focused people that have a reason to make a loyal career. Also, they constantly mess up peoples benefits, bonuses, paychecks, reimbursements, and W2″s. It was June before we got ours!! You”d think a company that wants to make an impression on new markets would deal with these matters with urgency. Shame on them. I vote WORST PLACE TO WORK!!

HHGREGG refuses to send a copy of the contract for there appliance store in ohio location. I have tryed several times to have the Written contract sent to us. They refuse. They have GE Money bank handling the credit card for HHGREGG. I have been given several differant balances from GE Money Bank. I requested GE Money Bank to send proof that HHGREGG has the written contract that was signed and they can not provide any documentation. I have talk to so many people from HHGREGG and GE Money Bank neither can send any Proof of a written contract signed by me.I was told I would receive my contract in the mail once it is processed. They have proved to me to be a very unprofessional company and have no sense of direction. You cannot understand the people answering the phones when you call. They do not know how to handle your problem. They say they will take care of the problem and never do. They are crooked. I feel HHGREGG and GE Money Bank should be put out of bussiness they are a skam.

HHGregg, Worst service ever! I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator 8 months ago and it has had to be returned 3 times so far… Poor Quality. The delivery department has made no attempt to work with our schedule and have even canceled delivery after we have taken days off of work. So far 6 and 1/2 days of work missed for 1 refrigerator. Also hours of phone and in store time to work this out. I have also had to spend an additional $140 in moving expense. They have no clue about customer service and do not respect the customer. hhgregg at your own risk! You have been warned!

I am a former employee of hhgregg. To anyone look to shop there go somewhere else!!! They will force customer to buy today and dont care if you are ready or not. That is their idea of great customer service. We are told to not spend must time with the customer but force to buy. They will do anything to get around a return if you are not happy. I am a now former employee of this company and would like to share with other potential employees my experience within the company. I quit around 5 hours ago after a manager (Richard Burdugo is his name) cussed at and threatened my job directly in the middle of fixing a customer”s order. The customer, who I had spent 2 hours working with and selecting the correct product, immediately asked for a return. Right after he asked me directly “why do you put up with this” and left. This wasn”t just the last straw, this was one of many. I had typed a note and handed it to management 2 days ago asking if I could be trained to do PC Optimization. I told them it didn”t matter what it took, and even offer to come in on my day off to learn so my sales would be more profitable. Today in our pre-work morning meeting our entire store was yelled at for 30 minutes about our lack of PC Optimization sales. When I told them that over half of the staff did not know how to do this, they said that you should have learned already. I asked again when I could be trained at which time refused to train me. The main thing I want to get out to potential employees is that their pay structure is not what they tell you in training. We are on a draw system where you go against $7.25 an hour. The problem is, if you are 1 minute over 40 hours, it goes to all of your hours are counted as time and a half against draw. For example, if you work an even 40 hours you have to earn $290 in a week or you go into draw. If you work 40 hours and 1 minute, you have to earn $435.18 to cover your draw. This is not what they told us, this is not what I signed off on, and the have refused multiple times to give me the HR number. I called our Corporate number and complained a week ago when I noticed that pay was off and was reprimanded within the store for doing so, even though they could not give me the answers to my questions which I had asked. This company is very unprofessional and will tell you one thing and expect another. I encourage any employees with similar complains to post them and to not be bullied around. I kept all of my numbers and paychecks because I believe I will have to go to small claims court to get the correct amount of money that is owed to me. I am Carl Pope from Hickory NC. hhgregg had a TV ad during the week of Labor Day. This ad stated that all items in the store were on sale, for anything $99.00 and more you could get 24 months payment plan. No exclusions apply. I went to the Hickory store at 1843 Catawba Valley Blvd. The store manager advised me he did not know anything about the TV ad, and if this was true the computers will not be on sale. I told the manager that the TV ad stated TVs, Computers and all electronics and more were on sale. I also called the Corp. office of hhgregg at [protected]. I had to call three times and talked to three differen people. None of them could help me and did not know who I could talk to. The last person advised me to send a e-mail to the company. I hope that someone from the hhgregg Corp. office can call me and tell me why this store in Hickory does not honor the sales that your company has on your on TV ad. Thank You Carl Pope

i am not going to tell consumers not to shop at hhgregg because you can get some great buys. but those great buys are at the employees expense. sales personell work for commission. a draw will be paid but you always have to pay it back with your commissions. the bottom line is that hhgregg salespeople are working for FREE. if you have to come to work 1.5 hours early, that goes against your commissions. in other words, employees are paying for coming to work early, during non-commissioned hours. hhgregg calls it training. each employee is expected to pay for their training of 200 hours per year, which hhgregg brags about in their advertising literature. in s.w. florida night hours after 7:00 pm are worthless. there is no productive traffic. schedules are the same for all areas of the country and local management can not alter them, because managements bonuses are affected. (so we were told by management). we are forced to work overtime hours as scheduled. overtime sounds good but remember that salespeople have to pay it back. WE WORK FOR FREE. and when hours are questioned, we are told that is home office. when we call HR we might get a call back 2 weeks later, only to be told that they have nothing to do with scheduleing and we should talk to our district manager, whom we have already talked to. no one in upper management wants to take responsibility for its practices. the attitude is that if you do not like it, then “don”t let the door kick you in the ### on your way out”. the only way an employee can make money is by selling PSP (premium service plans) and accessories which are extremely profitable. and if you don”t, you are told that you are getting what you deserve, in commissions. NOTHING. i could go on and on about the abuse. lockdown of doors to keep salespeople from leaving after clocking out. working 17.5, 12.5, 11.5, hours with 1 hour break and 2 15 minute breaks. no first aid or ice for falls. mandatory meetings on your day off. told to work before clocking in. if you do not have a life, and do not mind being abused, then go to work for hhgregg.

I bought a 52″ television and a refrigerator at HH Gregg within two months of each other for a total of nearly $2000. After finally getting it straight that we live 12 miles out of the delivery zone on the TV, which was bought first, we had to go back home (65 miles away) and get a truck and go back to the store to pick it up. But oh no it wasn”t at the store, we had to go all the way across Nashville to get it at the warehouse- same with the refrigerator later on. But we get the fridge home and one of the fans in the freezer doesn”t work. No problem since they told us we were in their service area. We called, but no, we weren”t in the service area after all- sorry his bad- and we had to call Sears to repair the fan- $125 on us with a BRAND NEW FRIDGE! Then a month later a board went out on the TV. Nope still not in the service area, even tho we were told we were, and so Sears comes again. This time it cost us over $600 to repair the TV and get a new board. DO NOT shop with HH Gregg unless you are ready to fight a battle with crappy items. The TV and fridge are still working thanks to Sears. They have had to come back two other times on the TV and now it has cost us twice the purchase price to repair it, but it has a great picture so we just do it anyway. Coming again on the 2nd of June to replace another board… grrrr. If they tell you that you are in their service area get it in writing otherwise you will be STUCK with a crappy product that YOU have to repair!

I bought a Bosch dishwasher from HH Gregg. We had a rebate for the installation. When I never received my rebate check, I called Bosch. Supposedly, they never received it. I was given a second address to mail my rebate information to. I soon received notice that we were too late. About this time, my dishwasher starts tilting up in the back when a rack slides out to be loaded. It also starts to smell. After numerous phone calls to Bosch and HH Gregg I get no where! Both say the other is to blame, it was not installed correctly, and it is no longer under warranty! It takes hours of waiting and researching to actually speak to a person on the phone. I have told to story to so many customer service reps and managers and I continue to be shoved back and forth between the two businesses. I will never step foot in another HH Gregg store and Bosch certainly isn’t worth the extra money I spent on it!!!

I bought a freezer from H.H. Gregg in July 2007. It was my first visit to an H.H. Gregg store and my first purchase from them, and will be my last. First off, we were entirely ignored in the store until one of the salesmen realized we were there as serious purchasers. Then he gave us very smart-alecky service and tried to double-charge us for delivery. When the freezer was delivered, the delivery men rammed into a tree in front of my house. They didn’t apologize at all, didn’t say hi, nothing–my daughter was just anxious for them to leave, because they were so scuzzy and creepy. Afterward, the bark was peeling from the tree and the neighbors were worried it would fall, so I reported it to the city (it was on city property) and the city took it down. The tree may have been on city property, but it did provide us shade and we do miss it. Gregg had sent a couple of men out to inspect the damage, but as of today, I’d heard nothing back, so I called. The woman I spoke with asked me “what sort of resolution would you like to this?” I said ideally I’d like the tree replaced but that I thought a refund of my $45.00 delivery charge would be the least they could do. This afternoon a man called me back from Gregg and told me that, since the city had taken the tree down, they considered the “case closed.” He sounded aghast when recounting that I’d asked for a refund of my delivery charge. He kept repeating that the “case was closed” and said there “wasn’t any damage to their truck”. He ignored me when I mentioned that my daughter had seen the collision happen. I said: “Well, you won’t have me as a customer again.” “Okay,” was his response. I’ll never go back to H.H. Gregg again and plan to give them as much bad press as I can. There’s no excuse for “customer service” like this in this day and age. I simply can’t believe the consistent rudeness and bad service this place delivered.

I bought a LG 47 inch led T.V. from hhgregg 1year and 2 months ago I also bought a 5 year warranty. Well my t.v. has been fixed 3 times now. Warn Tech call and said hhgregg is got a credit for me for 629 dollars to come and use it. I paid 1300 for my t.v because I talked the sales man down.and 400 for the warranty so I tried to work with hhgregg and warn tech to resolve the problem and just give me the same TV .I bought already they said no. so I took them to court in April and I won all my money back including the 400 i spent on my 5 year warranty .so dont give up do something when you get done wrong you have the right to file a small claims suit against them. The delivery fee was $ 59.99 x 3, which would be reimbursed when I sent in the rebate form in. I sent the form to Texas and I never got my refund. I called back to make sure the information was correct and they told me to send it to Florida, I did that and haven”t heard anything since. This rebated is nothing but a SCAM… This company is a RIP OFF and they don”t give SH!! about their customer and the customer service dept is very rude and could care less about your problem so don”t bother calling them unless you are from another country!!! I bought a mattress with HHGregg in Tennessee back in April and had it delivered. They charged me $59.99 delivery fee, which would be reimbursed when I sent in the rebate form and a copy of my delivery receipt. I did exactly as the lady at the store told me. 10 weeks went by and there was no email, no phone call, no mail with my check or any information regarding my rebate. I got out the copy of the rebate form the lady at the store gave me (I make double copies of everything) and I call the 1-800 number that was supposed to be in Texas yeah right. I get some lady who can hardly speak English so I guess my call went to India. Anyways, they have no record of me at all. I sit there and read to her exactly what the paper says and she accuses me of trying to claim a rebate from 2005. Come to find out, they gave me the WRONG rebate form, which is not my fault. The people at the call center refused to help and now I can”t get my rebate back. I have spent over $5,300 since 2002 with that sorry a$$ company. I will NEVER step back into one of their stores again. They need to take all the money they are getting from ripping their customers off and provide better customer service training for their employees.

I bought a new LG front load washer and dryer and paid for delivery and setup. They came out and installed the two units, but told me that he couldn’t get the old hot water hose to unscrew from the wall. He said that he could just leave it on and connect it to new washer. Well, he did and had me sign the invoice. I told him that I had a stroke 3 years ago and that I would have to take his word about the old hose working and that there were no leaks. One day I went into my master bedroom closet and stepped in a pool of water. My wife started pulling everything out of the closet and the water had ruined stuff on the floor, our carpet, and 3 sheetrock walls. My wife said that we must have a leak coming from the laundry room. My son pulled the washer out and the old hot water hose was leaking. My wife called hhgregg that night (5-14-08) talked with the operations manager. He said how sorry he was and that they would pay for everything to be fixed. We heard no response and by 05-20-08, I had enough and called the store and talked with several managers and finally got a case number, phone number, and a contact person. After talking with their corporate office, I was told that hhgregg contracts their delivery /setup and that I needed to contact them. So, I did (Spirit of Delivery) and they were oh so sorry and that they would get someone out ASAP. About 4 days later I called them back and she told me the guy she needed to talk to was out of town at a wedding for a week. I waited a week and then I called her back and she told me it was under investigation. About 06-16-08 I called her back and she told me that it was my fault/problem, because their guy could not get the old hose off. So, make sure you know who is responsible for delivery/setup before you buy.

I bought a Serta from HHCGregg and not even a month later, it is sagging. I have written Customer Service twice and have not heard anything. I think they may be waiting until the 30 days is up, which will be in 3 days. Unbeknowst to them, I copy and paste my emails to my personal email so they can’t tell me it’s beyond the 30 day period. Funny too is that I paid 899.99 for this bed, which I believe in paying good money for comfort. Well, not even 30 days later and this bed is on the website for 591.99. A 300 hundred dollar drop. I can’t even sleep on this bed. My back kills me. If they ever get back to me about picking this bed back up and want to charge me a restocking fee, I will be even more upset. You would take a sagging mattress and put it back in to inventory? This may be what happened in the first place. Still waiting to hear from them. Wonder if I will… Good thing my cousin is a lawyer…

I bought a stackable washer and dryer from hhgregg about 20 months ago, and purchased the additional 5-year premium service plan. Well for some unknown reason this week, our washing machine began turning itself on/off during and not during run cycles accompanied by flashing lights on the front panel with very annoying repetitive beeping sounds. So I first googled it and learned that I could get an error code by holding the start and cancel buttons down together, which revealed we had the “E2B” error – which meant one of two things. One, our voltage coming out of the outlet could be too high (over 130 volts) or two, the washer”s control board could need replaced. Monday evening, my wife called it in, and to our pleasure we were able to schedule an in-home repair for Wednesday morning. So only a full day without a washing machine, not bad at all. In the meantime we finished up the laundry we had started when the washer failed up at our neighbor”s house. Wednesday morning right on schedule, a technician showed up at 8am. I was impressed, at his timeliness but that”s about where the impression ended, at least the good impression, and the pain began. To make a long story short, the damn washing machine ran through an entire spin cycle while he was here without acting up. Well that”s not entirely true – my wife said it did stop and beep and flash for about 5-10 seconds but then started back up and finished on its own. We had explained to both the people over the phone and the technician in our house what was happening and what the error code was, so he had come with a new control board to replace the malfunctioning one in our washer. HOWEVER, because we could not get the washer to act during his 30 minutes in our house, he stated that he was no allowed to replace the control board since he didn”t witness it himself being problematic. He did check our outlet voltage and found it be a proper 120 volts, which leaves only one other option for the E2B error code – that being a bad control board. As my wife was updating me over the phone what was going on, I implored her not let him leave without fixing the washer, but there was nothing she could do. In the end, he left without fixing the problem, and sure enough later that same morning while she was doing a load of laundhry, the washer malfunctioned again. Obviously she called back that same day and was told that because the technician hadn”t returned from his day yet, that our order was still “open” and we had to call back the next morning to get someone to come back out. So the next morning (Thursday now), and we were told the earliest they could send someone out was Tuesday now. This infuriated me so much that I called an 800 number for A&E to complain that he was just here in our house yesterday and left WITHOUT fixing it, and now we have to wait 5 more days for someone to come out again. In lieu of my frustration, she put me on hold to see if they could find something sooner for us, but eventually came back only to tell me Tuesday was the earliest they had. I found it unbelievable that we were able to provide them the error code, AND the technician was able to verify the outlet voltage was what it should be, yet refused to fix the problem (control board) only because he didn”t see it malfunction. Why the hell would we make this ### up and wait for a tech to come out if it wasn”t really happening?? Unbelievable. They said it”s their process for controlling costs to not replace parts that don”t need replaced. In the end though, our time is wasted again, as is the technician”s, and they have to pay him twice to do the same job including the fuel expense to come to our house twice, and we get to be without a washing machine for 8 days instead of just 2 because of this ridiculous process A&E abides by. It seems that every time something I buy from hhgregg goes bad there”s always a loophole with the warranty I”ve purchased.

I bought an acer notebook for my daughter as a Christmas gift. When I bought the notebook I mentioned it was a Christmas gift and that I hoped it would be the one she wants. Since it was almost a month before Christmas the salesman was quick to mention that if it would need to be brought back that we only have 14 days. I had already paid for the notebook so I asked what my options were at this point. He asked a supv. who said it could be held there until we were ready to pick it up. When we went to pick it up someone had resold the notebook we had selected. The salesman offered a similar one and we took it since we really had no other choice. My daughter checked the notebook out and felt there were several things that she did not like about it and decided to return it. They told her they could only give her $100.00 of it in cash and she would have to wait for a check for the remainder. She voiced how unsatisfactory this was and they just told her basically too bad. She left deciding to think about how to handle it. The next day was the last day she could return the item and since she was at work she had her husband return it for her. They told him they now could only submit the request/return to corporated and she would get a check for the entire amount. They stated the reason being his name was not on the receipt. Her name was not on the receipt the day before either and they would give her $100.00 then. She even called the corp office and they were very rude and could care less about her displeasure in this situation. All I can say is buyer beware. They never mentioned this so called policy when we bought the item, even though they knew it may need to be returned. I have been a good customer buying most of my tv”s and appliances there, but this will be no more. They have just lost a family of good customers, but I am sure they don”t care.

I bought this frig in 2015. it has been fixed 6 times for the same problem. my freezer and ice maker stop working. I was told after 4 times it would be replaced. it has not. I brought a Samson fridge at Gregg in October 20012 with extending warranty for 5 years now my ice maker is broking for 2 months for me to talk to a customer service persons take me 3 days keep listen to that machine for hours until I get disconnected finely they refer me to golden home service they come 3 times they have issues not able to fix the ice maker .Now back to same problems for 2 day”s now I Ben calling for hours in the phone finally get with customer service the agent tell me I need a work order for the same home service who came 3 time to come back .When I brought the extended warranty they say if the product requires more then three repair for the same defect they will replace it now I feel like they are playing me a round.the extending warranty phone number is [protected] and the repair company is golden home service [protected].

I brought four stainless steel appliances from H. H. GREGG and had discolor on one of them after 18 months. They offered a partical store credit but told me tough on the other units. I just want to let people know if you go to H.H. GREGG take a National Tire-Battery! with you. If it sticks to the appliances it’s not 100% stailless steel. I went to a small claims court. I carefully planned a big 25th anniversary surprise for my husband, spending 3 hours in Hhgregg on Black Friday selecting, ordering and setting up delivery on a big screen TV (67′ Samsung DLP). I was told it was in stock and ready to be delivered whenever I wanted. I also applied and was approved for their 24 months-same-as-cash financing. I arranged for it to be delivered on the 18th of December while my husband and I were on our anniversary trip. I gave them my son’s cell phone to call for delivery time. I called two more times before we left on the trip to confirm the delivery and was told each time the TV would be delivered on that day. My son called me the night of the 18th and told me no one had called to deliver the TV. I asked him to call the next day to deliver it before we arrived home on the 20th. He couldn’t find anyone who knew anything about the delivery. We walked in the door with me anticipating the surprise, and there sat our old TV. I called on the 21st and talked to three different people before I could even find anyone who could check on anything for me. That person said they didn’t understand why it was arranged to deliver that TV because it wasn’t in stock and they didn’t know if they would ever have it in stock again! He blamed it on the salesman and said he didn’t work there anymore, but it was the manager who arranged the delivery and even said it would be delivered free because it took so long to set it up! They wanted to know if I would wait while it was backordered and I said no, cancel the order. I was so upset and crying. It was three days before Christmas and I had nothing for my husband because that was supposed to cover both anniversary and Christmas. To add insult to injury, I was going through the mail that came while we were on the trip and, low and behold, the first payment is due on the TV I didn’t get!

I have a refrigerator that has a five year warranty and no one is responding to fixing my fridge. It is having a hard time keeping things cold in it.
