For the last 3 months I have been calling BCBS to work out why my bank account shows that they cash my monthly checks but my coverage is suspended due to “lack of payment.” This keeps happening and every time they demand that I fax/mail in a bank statement proving that I have paid. I have not been able to get my health sustaining medications each month until they admit that they have found my payments.

The first time this happened I was transferred to the escalation dept. After about 2 hrs on the phone they somehow located my payments. Why the ** do I pay them to provide insurance when they don’t actually do their jobs? I would avoid Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield like the plague if I were you. Run, don’t walk.
