Ken Starr is the CEO & Founder at Home Comfort USA Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing Company. This terrible, terrible person ripped off my friend’s small local business. He contracted to assist them for a period of 12 months in growing the business across plumbing, heating repair and sales and air conditioning repair and sales. My friend’s business was contacted by this CEO himself and after a meeting with him and the other staff, a proposal for service was given by my friend and his company accordingly.
While meeting the CEO, they were told by Ken Starr that he would go ahead with signing the contract for a year. He also agreed to all terms and conditions. He also gave ½ of the payment of the first month upon signing the contract and this meant that their services started. Once, this started, people had to be hired since it was a big contract and involved heavy workloads. There was an agreed list of monthly services that would be provided as per the contract. After the contractual duties were executed in the first month, a return on investment of 11% was ensured for the company by my friend’s outfit. This went up to 17% by the end of the second month and revenues were generated considerably for the organization. At the beginning of the third month, Ken wished to alter the contract based on his own whims and fancies.
Landon Brewer was an East Coast consultant roped in by this guy who was equally unethical and deceitful. Brewer also talked of not abiding with the contract. He yelled at my friend and his colleagues on the phone. He also used business and physical threats and my friend had to go with what the guy wanted. These two people had utter disregard for vendors and the firm that my friend runs, had to bear huge losses due to such breaches of contract and such threats. My friend’s firm is still to get $120, 000 as an outstanding payment from Home Comfort USA and also $180, 000. There is a settlement demand but nothing has really come out of it. My friend and his firm have suffered heavily due to the unethical behaviour of these guys and their threats.
In fact, other people have also spoken out many times against the crook Ken Starr and the CFO Landon Brewer who is his accomplice. These people have clearly stated that Home Comfort USA fools customers and rips them off. I would request everybody here to just stop considering these guys for your home and come forward if they have similarly been ripped off like my friend was.
