The machine gave me a receipt, subtracted the amount from my account, but did not give me the cash! You can check the security camera to verify this was what happened. Operation staff in priority lounge shorthanded, only 1 staff on duty. She has to go up and down just to get another staff thumb print. Pitty her. 6th August 2017 11.17am My cash was retained in the cash deposit machine due to machine broke down. Asked for assistance from the staff and she got me to fill up a form. The staff stated that the similar incidents actually happened to some other customers frequently. The machine maintenance was outsourced to the vendor and she can not do anything about it. She is unsure when can i get back the cash and obviously there is no proper procedure for the staff to refer to when dealing with these cases. It is very disappointing while Hong Leong is promoting the concept of ‘digital at core’, but they do not even have a proper servicing to ensure that the basic facilities are functioning. It creates so much hassle and inconvenience to me and my family as we need to cash for emergency use. Application submitted to Ryan leong Chun veng who was branch manager at midvalley and then seri petaling branch in early 2016. Ryan provided very few updates on the progress of the application until sometime in April 2017, he became uncontactable. We have not heard from him since and he has not returned our calls. Unless something happened to him, we feel very disappointed with his behaviour. We hope someone can look into this.

Dear Management, On 22/2/2019, I am going to HLB Kota Kemuning Branch to open an current account for my new set up company. One of the female chinese staff told us need to get approve from management before confirm the current account can be open. Anyway we still proceed with all the document HLB needed. By the end, the staff told us will give us a call within one week. But I only received the call after two week.in the conversation, HLB told us need to provide company website address. I did call 03-5122 5912 two time before I drop by HLB Kota Kemuning to provide my website address.in the conversation, the operator said will guide the officer to call me ASAP, but I did not received any call from HLB. On 18/3/20191, I drop by HLB Kota kemuning branch to provide my website address, the same female chinese staff told me wait for a while. After 15 min, she told me all my application submission already be shredded. What? Without inform me all my doc already be shredded? Then she said my application not approved. If my application rejected, should I get a call to inform me? I really disappointed with the service and attidude, I am HL customer for long time. I have actually submitted my loan to hong leong bank branch weeks ago applying housing loan for property at johor which I only require loan amout about rm350, 000 to rm400, 000.00 for property at taman sri penawar, johor. Unfortunately, it was rejected on yesterday by whatsapp from your staff, ms irene without any documentation reply to for loan rejected. I have actually answered all your staff, ms irene, jalan goh hock huat branch, questions from hq and provide evidence documentations to her but the answer of loan rejected is weak documentions given by your hq staff, informing by ms irene, jalan goh hock huat branch on yesterday, I had asked them to give me the reason and any supporting documents that require me to provide to them after the basic documents given but regret to inform you that there is no answer at all from your sides by just reject and keep quiet only. Your bank staff, ms irene, asking me the epf contribution rate of employee and employer portion why not the same as normal regulations which is 8% or 11% employee portion and 12% employer portion. I had explained to her by phone calls and email her all the epf rulings and documentations to them for income rm5, 000.00 and below and above which affected the contribution percentage. Is your bank treat your clients by no asking additional supporting documents from your client to clarify the ability of finance of your client and just keep quiet only? Is your staff really work hard for you to get more sales for your bank? I am in doubt and wondering. I just reflect my opinion towards your bank. Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Jong Yee Yen. I would like to make a complain on this Credit Card Sales Agent who was from HLB Kuching Branch. I have applied credit cards from him on around January or February 2018, during a road show at Kuching Viva City Megamall. That time when i applied the credit cards, he told me that there was a promotion where if I spend RM1000 within 60 days from the credit card approval date, I will be given a FREE luggage. My credit cards were approved on 22nd of February and I activated them on 16 March 2018. I have spend over RM1000 for both cards on 9 April 2018, and I have also cleared my debts within a few days later. I contacted him after that, and he just told me that he will arrange for me and promised that I would receive my luggage within 30 days. I have been constantly follow up with him on the luggage delivery, and on 16 May 2018, he told me that he would send the luggage to my house address on the next following week. But until today, I have yet to receive the luggage from him. And now, he seems to be ignoring all my messages and calls regarding this matter. I seriously feel that I have been CHEATED by Hong Leong Bank. Please take this matter seriously and please arrange the luggage for me as soon as possible. This is taking way too long. On 6th June 2018 3pm I’ve visited Hong Leong Bank branch Seremban for renew my fix deposit which I want to change my own fix deposit to joint account with my mother. I have been served with your staff who duty on counter 16, she is a Chinese girl, unfortunately I forget her name and she served me with bad communication. She said I have to pay RM10 for renew my fix deposit if I want to change it, she asked me to close the fix deposit and open a new joint account, or combine it to my another fix deposit account with imperative and impatient tone, so that I can waive the RM10 payment. She passed the aftermath work to another staff on counter 15, and the staff on counter 15 was served me with clear and good communication. For me, I not care about the RM10 payment, just hope that your staff can talk clearly and nicely with customer. I`m not happy with the service giving from staff counter 16, I was thinking terminate the fix deposit service at the time, but I ended it because of time convenience factor. On 27th April 2018 I”ve submitted a request for Redemption Statement to fully settle my housing loan with one of your staff by the name Siew Shuet Theng (B36089) Branch (Sly 269) Malaysia. I called before and they asked me to wait for 10-14days and then they just hangup the phone without asking my account number to check. I called again and again, and also request to call me back, but I didnt receive any call from them. So I called again today, to Penang Branch (because my loan was previously done there) to see how the progress, but sadly they did not submit my request yet. Then called HLB HQ in Malaysia, the customer service told me the same thinh which they still didnt receive any request from Selayang Branch. My loan is running with interest but your staff take it for granted and did not give the best service as I always heard about your bank. I already pension, and I got minor stroke a few years back, and I couldnt pay the loan more. So this is why I need to settle my loan urgently but I am very dissapointed with the service from your staff. The staff also blame me and said that the house grant should be with me not the bank which is I am very shocked why should I have the grant if i”m still paying the loan? I called to Cust. service on 02/10 around 5pm require confirmation regarding cash out normal cheque procedure. I was asking if i want to cash out the cheque at the counter immediately, which part of the cheque i need cheque owner to have extra signature beside signature column where i have my experience on Ambank which they require cheque owner to have 3 signature on particular cheque if cash out immediately through counter. Seem your cust service are not well trained. I allowed them to ask for confirmation from their senior or manager which the info i got is WRONG. Firstly, Hong Leong Bank, Taman Melawati KL branch”s bank personnel are not aware or properly informed by their own superiors/top management with regards to the new ruling stated in the Companies Act 2016 endorsed by the government agency “Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia” or “SSM”, which allows a single director of a local Malaysian private limited company (Or it is called “Sendirian Berhad” in Malay Language) to open a current account. Plus, the service provided at this branch is consistently very poor and unfriendly, refer below for further details. I am a single director of a new private limited / Sendirian Berhad company and I was trying to open a new current account at Hong Leong Bank, specifically Taman Melawati KL Branch. Back in late September 2018, I requested for the application forms to open the new current account but the bank teller was not satisfying in terms of her service and she simply gave me the application forms without informing me anything else. Then, back in early October 2018, I came prepared with all the necessary documents required for the application, only to be told by the bank teller there that a private limited company must have two directors in order to open a current account. As such, I have tried to tell the bank tellers that I will call up my company secretary in regards with the new ruling of Companies Act 2016 so that company secretary could explain to the bank tellers. Unfortunately, the bank tellers replied to me in a very rude manner, exclaiming “What else is there to explain?”. After hearing such a rude reply from them, I got fed up with their service, took back my documents and left the bank immediately. As such, I would strongly implore the top management of Hong Leong Bank to look into the bank tellers working at this branch and mete out the necessary action towards to them, especially informing them about the new ruling from SSM to allow other future potential customers who are also a single director in a private limited company to open a bank account. This is highly unacceptable since this ruling came from a goverment agency and by right all bank must adhere to this ruling without fail. Last but not least, the service provided by this bank”s branch must improve or else it will not be good for the bank”s image.

FYI, I applied new hlb credit card last year end(2018) . But the credit card was failed to deliver to me from your side. Hence i make complaint on lost and request for new cards and i accepted the card this year (2019). Hello everyone. My name is Surin s/o Sretheran @ Sreedharan. I applied loan at Hong Leong Bank to buy a second hand house at RM 130, 000. The bank granted 90% of the loan, which is around RM 117, 000. On 4th of Jan 2012, I received a letter from Hong Leong Bank (IYK Mortgage & Collection Centre located at Jalan Yang Kalsom, Ipoh) stated that they already disburse the first cheque which is for payment to earlier owner’s bank, MRTT fee, legal fee and evaluation fee. The second cheque is for the seller of the house and for myself. But they haven’t disburse the second cheque till date. As for today is already 30th of Jan 2012. They stated in the same letter that i need to start paying monthly instalment on the 1st of February 2012. Why i need to start paying as i haven’t receive the money yet? When I contacted the Hong Leong Bank in Bandar Baru Menglembu earlier, they replied that there is only 1 officer in charge of my loan and he is being on medical leave for 5 days plus nobody else knew about my loan! How shocking it is! They kept saying that they will check the status and call me back but sadly i’m the one keep on doing so to find the same lame excuses. I don’t know whether its normal for every bank to disburse the second cheque late or the Hong Leong Bank officer simply don’t want to do their respective job. The said the bank job is professional job but what they doing is not professional at all. i am Mr.Liaw and I am Hong Leong Bank loyal customer for more than 20 years. Today, I am not complaining about the service but ill treatment given to the staff by Hong Leong Bank in Sarawak. I was told that as a Personal Financial Consultant, they have to work from 08:30 to 17:30pm and 17:30 to 20:00pm has to work next to the ATM machine with a personal loan machine so call MCI. Furthermore Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00pm with toilet as I was told. As a customer, I feel that this not right. I believe the top management is having their sweet time at home having dinner while the poor staff has to work. I should say the labour department should do something about it. I believe the top management also have to spend time with their families during weekends. Hong Leong Banks in Sarawak have wonderful staff, friendly and very service oriented.

I am truly disappointed with Hongleong bank. since I could manage to get Pandan jaya branch hongleong bank in this morning, 11:00 . The stuff in pandan jaya could not settle down my problem which recommend me to go taman maluri branch hongleong bank, since I have been waiting for 2 hours with no response. Then i get a second call, and there is machine automated speech in chinese and the phone goes dead again. These calls came in today at 14:33 and 14:40 . This is not the first time i’m getting these calls. The customer service should be aware that customers are not always free to be attending to calls like this. Please call if you genuinely need to speak to customer and not making miss calls.

I felt terrible with all the staff in this branch, i went to there for opening a new saving account. After i filled up all the form, and the staff ask me to wait at my seat. I”ve been waiting there for 2 hrs just want to proceed a new account. I”ve keep asking, but they just let me waiting and i didnt see anyone of them do proceed my form. I had apply a credit card from Hong Leong Bank since Jan 2017. The bank approved two cards with combine limit to me. I had activated both of the cards and just used one of its for 3 months. Then on April 2017 i had received the statement, it shows both of the cards have been the annual fees, that card i using had deduct the annual fees but the other one haven”t did the deduction of the anual fee. ok, that”s fine, I paid the anual fees and did the card cancellation on 20th June 2017, but when i receive the statement of June 2017, it show cash interest have been on 27th June 2017. I want to know how can a bank charged the annual fees for the new card in the first year, and charged the cash interest after the payment is settled and the card have been cancelled..

I had been called the HLB Setia Alam regarding of issue that there is 2 cheque that was banked in and it was cleared to the bank statement of my customer by then the cheque number doesn”t appear to my company statement (Damai 1516 Homeowners Berhad) and regarding this I had personally when to the HLB Setia Alam but none of staff over there can help me. The issue was happen in 2016. The cheque number is HLB 344241 & HLB 344242. The cheque cleared to my customer statement on 01/02/2016. I had done my car settlement for vehicle PGL2695 at HLB Tesco Egate PenangBranch Branch. The staff promised to call me back. After waited for 3 weeks plus I called my car loan home branch, HLB Jalan Burma Penang Branch. They said Tesco Egate Branch didn”t inform them about it and she will help me do E discharge and call me back in a while. I waited for the call for two days, no one called. More worst just now I called two times to HLB Jalan Burmah Penang Branch, phone rang for 30 sec but no one answer call. I understand that HLB have policy on answering call and why no ppl answer call??? The staffs for both of the branch mentioned above are very irresponsible. i had made an international transfer last Thursday to UK for my daughter. The money didn”t receive even after a week. Finally, I knew that it is because your bank didn”t provide the sort code and the money being rejected and charged by U.K. I didn”t even receive any message from the bank but instead I knew it by asking from the counter!! It is a terrible service! ! Every bank in Malaysia know that there is a need to provide sort code for UK bank. How can this even happen in a national bank? The most unreasonable thing was, I need to pay for my second service charge for transfer!! What wrong with this?! My money had been charged by uk now I need to pay for my second service charged of transfer which is not my fault!

I have been doing Cash deposit at the counter for a few years due to my company”s requirements. And there is a new staff Named Juliana always refuse to do the cash deposit for me. I never cut in line and I always queue till my number. And EVERY SINGLE TIME, she refused to do the operation for me and request me to go to the ATM to do it on my own. And sometimes I even uses half an hour or above occupying the machine just to do the cash deposit and got irritate by the people waiting in line on my back. And sometimes After I finish using the ATM some of the notes are not accepted by the Machines So I will have to make it to the counter again just to back in the little amount of money. And she will just change the money for me and asked me to queue at the ATM again. Is it that difficult for your Staff MS. JULIANA to do the cash deposit operation? Or she”s just being lazy?!

I just called in HLB call centre 03 [protected] at 9:26pm today to inform to blocked/cancelled the order of Aristo coffee which is unauthorized transaction by me. I got to know the order via email to me today. However, my called was answered by the staff named sound Charlene, which her feedback and comments were rude. I just opened a new savings and fd account this morning but the guy didn”t give me the 6 digit pin. I asked him what should I do as I want to register for online account and he told me just go to Hong leong connect. Now when I want to register then I realised that without the 6 digit pin I can”t register and I need to go to the bank again. Stupid right this kind of service, all of us need to work and expect us to keep running to the bank for things that the staff are suppose to provide. Really a waste of time bad service.

I just want to find out if I apply new credit card last year end.. And your side fail to deliver the card to me.. I make a complaint on the lost card and this year I received the new card. But because of after the promotion period not use the card within 45 days.. Your card centre say cannot waive for the 1st time annual fee. It really unacceptable for me cause card lost is not my fault. Can u find out for me can I waive for the 1st time annual fee for both card??

I m felling upset to see those staffs serve old people like they should know everything pls they are old people u are the one to serve them and telling them what they have to do and giving better info ok? And one thing is I want to do is fixed deposit and not investment fund and how come u can tell me this has high interest without telling me this is not fixed deposit? Although it might be better for me but I have my own choice and don”t cheat especially old people who know nothing.And listen clearly to us what we want even double confirm with customers pls this is the best way to avoid u from making mistakes. Even though we said twice the staff can also hear wrongly, then say is our fault hehe really disappointed on the Hong Leong bank services.

I only became a customer of HLB because of the Eon Bank takeover. It was bad from the start. Not only did they give no support to transfer customers from the Eon online system to their own, but the attitude as “why should we?” They obviously hadn”t thought about it. If was the same when they changed the branch location. The first I heard about it was when I went to visit the bank, it was closed down, with no information on the new location!! When I did visit the new location, I found that the banking counter is on the first floor reachable only by a spiral staircase, with no assisted access for disabled customers like myself. The problem that I have at the moment is that debit card transactions for an online site I”d used successfully before (BookXcess) are being blocked by the bank, even after entering a One-time Password that was sent. Attempts to find out why by Facebook messaging and email have “fallen on stoney ground”.

I received a call this morng by a girl named Azura from hongleong service call.. she called to confirm my termination.. i told her i want to cancel right now because i dont want to use that card anymore.. i made my statement very clear already BUT she refused to help me to cancel.. she said something regarding to thr card activation and reserve for what i dont know and her voice so low that i cant hear her.. She even asked me to call back after 1 year only then can fully cancel.. do you think i can still remember to call back after one year??? Ridiculous!! And her explanation was so confusing, she cant answer my questions well.. i hope this is nothing to do with hongleong trainers qualities.. pls find a experinces caller for hongleong service call.. this will affect directly to your company image..
