After purchasing a Hotpoint fridge-freezer two years ago we have had nothing but trouble with it. Hotpoint have always stated their guarantee doesn’t cover the things that have gone wrong and we have had to pay them to send an engineer out to repair the item. My Christmas food has been thrown out as the fridge was warm when we awoke on Christmas eve. I would hate for others to buy from this company or Indesit who are the same company.

Dear Sir /Madam I purchased on line the above hob on the 29th May via Homebase internet service. It was duly delivered around the 14th June as I was having a kitchen installed at the time which was completed on the 22nd June. The hob was used twice and the I started having technical problems. The child lock came on and would not come off. I called your helpline on the 3rd July who tried to assist to no avail. So I repair man was sent to my address on the 5th July who advised there was a fault and new circuit had to be ordered. I would not be entitled to a new hob because even though I have a 12 month guarantee to receive a new hob the appliance would need to be at fault within 30 days! Considering it was not fitted to the later part of June I think this is totally unfair. I rang the customer services department and was told I quote they may receive the part on the 20th July !! This has cause a great deal of inconvenience as a use a hob in my day today cooking. I have always purchased hotpoint products please not I have recently purchased a oven, hood and washing machine. Quite frankly I am rather loathed to purchase products from you or recommend your name in the future. If you could please look into this at a matter of urgency! Domestic and general referred me to indesit to get our washing machine repairedas i have extended warranty. It took a week for him to come out and as my wife is disabled and we need the washing machine working at all times for health reasons i found this to long. After he fixed it my wife put a wash on and it packed up again with the same problem. My wife rang them and they said it will take another week. I rang to complain to indesit and i spent nearly half hour trying to get throdgh and was cut of numerous amount of times without speaking to someone. I emailed them a complaint and was emailed back explaining they would get back to me and i am still waiting after nearly a week. I will never use hotpoint or indesit again and i will be changing my washing machine and tumble dryer to bosh who will offer a better service. I will also complain to domestic and general about them. Once again terrible terrible service and i am suprised they are still in business with this sort of customer care

Engineer left premises & the washing machine didn’t work after replacing a 2nd bearing in 6 months. Call service centre to get engineer to return but not possible. Now have no working washing machine & have to wait another week before they can come out to fix there mistake. Have tried to speak to planning depart for an emergency appointment but have been told that’s not possible. I must wait for them to contact me for the next free appointment but as I have tried to explain I’m at work from 6am to 6 pm & I also work weekends & can not afford to take time off to stay & wait. I’m also going away. This is not good customer service I feel it could have been handled a lot better & with a bit more understanding. I await your prompt response.

Had my dryer couple years engineer out cause of fault .Secondly its not heating properly. Finally I receive a letter and it has a fault that could cause a fire !! I am not happy lady at all !! I have left my dryer on when I was out with my girls in the home ! You are offering a engineer to visit fiddle with it ! I am saying i want a replacement new dryer ! Hotpoint are bad..mmm-k! I bought my new home under 2 and a hlaf years ago…brand new, with 5 brand new hotpoint kitchen appliances…being an oven, hob, frdge freezer, dish washer and washer/dryer. Needless to say, the fridge freezer is the only item that ever functioned correctly and still works. I paid for all my warranties etc etc, for the last 2 and a half years. In that time, they have failed to fix my hob that does not light correctly, my oven which has broken functions, and as for the washer/dryer and dish washer…well, here begins the saga… * Washer/dryer…broke down regularly…they never once came to repair it because I did not have the extended warranty number…why!!!…because they never sent the documentation that i reminded them they need to send, about a dozen times. So I married, and my wife and I spend 500 pounds on a new john lewis washer dryer…which by the way, is brilliant. So thats 500 pounds on my list so far, plus 100 pounds worth of warranty down the toilet. * Next…the dish washer : never worked in the first place. Had to get repairmen in the week it was bought with the newly built home. 1 day fo work missed. 2 months later, the machine breaks down. a month passes, an engineer comes and gets it running. Day 2 of work missed. 3 months later, breaks down again. This time, repairman comes 2 months later. Day 3 missed. a year passes, the machine breaks AGAIN. Dishwasher goes 3 months out of action. Tally of non-use now at 6 months, at 50 quid a year warranty…100 quids worth flushed. 2 months later, machine breaks down again. 2 months pas, day 4 of work missed. Machine lasts 3 months. Machine breaks AGAIN. This time, it takes 4 months for a repair man to arrive, he doesn’t have the parts…needs new motor and heater…at least, and day 5 of work missed. Appointment 3 weeks later…he comes on the wrong day and I am not home. New apointment 2 weeks later…he gets the wrong day AGAIN. A week later, would you believe, hotpoint’s idiot engineer fails to show a 3rd time. I have wasted 3 more days of work, I am furious…8 days work now missed. 4th time…he turns up, leaves, I switch ont he machine and it leaks in the ciruitry and blows all the fuses in my flat. Following week…he fails to show AGAIN…another missed day of work. I go nuts at the services guy on the phone, he gets a different engineer to come that evening. He orders anpother new part, and a new appointment…today…I get a phone call at 10:30 saying he is not coming again…same ### as before. I am utterly furious. 5 missed appointments…10 days of work missed, and machine inoperable now for 7 and a half months. In all that time, hotpoint are refusing to replace machines as per the contract, because they have to be written-off as irrepairable by the engineer…is that some sort of sick joke ??? I have argued that 7 and a half months of NO use, and 2 and a half years of breakdowns, and the manufacturers themselves completely fail to get the damn thing working…what constitutes as irrepairable ?!?! The engineers state that they are not actually allowed to write-off a machine nad hoptpoint will not replace any. I record them on my cctv system stating that fact. I am now taking Hotpoint to small claims court : * 10 missed work days : 2000 * Warranties for 5 machines for 2 and a half years, all of which contracts have been broken by hotpoint : 750 * New washer/dryer : 500 * New dishwasher : 300 * Court costs 150 ***TOTAL sued for : 3700 pounds. I will NEVER EVER EVER buy a hotpoint appliance ever again, and quite frankly, I want to do very bad things that bunch of utter ****s

Hotpoint Freezer HUZ3022NF was purchased last September The frezzer has had several repairs in the 9 months from purchsae now the latest is the compresser isn’t working they don’t have the part in stock no date of when the repair will be carried out. When you phone customer service you don’t really get service just the standard replies. I would never reccomned a Hot point appliance to anyone The other parts already replaced are the main PCB and the Fan everytime it works for a few weeks and then something else goes wrong. Hotpoint washing machine I called customer service on Monday to organise a repair man to fix my washing machine and was told that the repair man would call out on Friday 8th nov I explained to person on the phone that I work and their would be no one in before 10am . I received a text message on Thursday 7th nov to tell me that the engineer would be out between 7.30 / 10.00am I would like to know how he is going to get into my house when no one will be available I called customer service back to explain this they spoke to the engineer but all he said was that he could not come after ten and that was my appointment time he was not very helpful even though I explained that I work to jobs and I am only in my house for a short period of time during the day this is not the first time I have had to explain this to your customer service / engineer team but no one listens it is the worst company I have ever had to deal with you have to call a [protected] to be held in queue for half hour to speak to an machine telling you that they have a high volume of calls and that someone will answer your call shortly and once they do answer they can”t even be bothered to try and help you all they are capable of doing is hanging up on people I would like a reply to this my name is mrs Lesley Scott

I bought a Hotpoint/Creda double oven cooker in October 2009. On the morning of 25th April 2010 while cooking breakfast, I momentarily moved away from the cooker and there was an almighty bang. The grill had exploded shooting sparks and debris across the kitchen. Lucky I or another member of the family was not standing infront of the appliance. I telephoned Hotpoint the next day and gave them the model number, serial number and explained exactly what had happened. They were very apologetic and would send an engineer out that Thursday. The engineer arrived, took one look and said “You need a new grill”. Bowl me over, I never realised that I said, and he just said that he would have to order one and return when he had it. The following Thursday (11 days without the grill), he arrived (hooray), 2 hours late and put in the new grill. I asked him about the automatic timer on the main oven and he tried to get this to work, but had problems and said that he would have to order a part for this and booked me a slot, which I was happy with, now that I had a working grill and could cook decent food. Bye to the engineer. Cooker switch on, grill not working. I phoned customer service and they tried to contact him but he was not answering his phone. They said that they could only book him in for the 13 May (18 days without a grill). I take the day off work, to be here when he arrived and recieve a phone call from Hotpoint to say that he wont be coming as the part he has is not functional and they could only book me in for the following Thursday, totalling 25 days until this is resolved. HOTPOINT ARE A SHAM, THEY SHOULD GET THEIR STAFF RE-TRAINED AND NOT FOB PEOPLE OFF WITH A 3 DAY CALL OUT WHEN THEY DONT HAVE PARTS.

i bought a hotpont washing maching from them and reported it faulty within 24 hours. they first insisted it had to be repaired but after a heated argument they agreed to deliver a new one. the delivery drivers then ripped my kitchen flooring. this has been going on since march 2011 and its now june and we are only now getting an offer from their insurance company for the floor and they are saying we have to pay towards it as the floor wasnt new. i tried to get help from comets managing director but he coulnt care less and was told by a person in his office that as it had gone to the insurance company, they would not get involved further. this has been the most annying frustrating experience of my life and i wouldnt use this company again if my life depended on it. in the end, they damaged my floor so why the hell should i have to pay a single penny towards getting it replaced. we are not trying to rip them off. we even got someone round to inspect the floor and make out a full insurance quote to show we were being upfront. didnt make any difference. if i can offer one piece of advice to anyone thinking of making a purchase…DONT USE COMET, THEY ARE USELESS AND COUNDT CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS

I bought a new hotpoint washer about 2 years ago. Used it for a month, put it in storage. When i recently moved it to my new residence. I noticed shirt sleeves getting caught in the agitator. My wife had 3 blouses damaged, 2 beyond repair. I recently changed the agitator. First load, 1 dhirt sleeve caught in agitator. I can’t believe you make a product that does this. I bought a new tumble dryer in August 2014. Since then I have consistently made call outs as the machine has been giving me problems from day one. It is the same problem where the water is not filling up the plastic container but leaking on to my kitchen floor now causing damage to the floor. They company had informed me that after 3 call outs in a year they would give me a new tumble dryer as there must be a fault with the product. This is now my 4th call out and they are sending out yet another engineer to solve the problem which will definitely happen again as there is a problem with the machine. I am so frustrated at this point as I have 5 children one who still wets the bed and if drying cannot be done it just ruins everything. Please can someone look into this matter as I am losing my mind with the constant communication with the Indesit company.

I had a massive flood in my kitchen just after Christmas from my indisett washing machine which I purchased June 2016 so it is 6 months old, . I called an engineer out, he came on the 3rd of Jan, the first words were do you have the extended guarantee, to which I replied no, but its still under the 12 months guarantee, from then on I may have well have been talking gibberish they obviously didn’t want to know. The engineer checked my washing machine and told me that a bolt that is supposed to be on the machine for transporting was broken off, and the water from spinning had gone through the hole and come in contact with the circuit board, so I needed a new drum and circuit board which he ordered straight away, I asked how long it would be to come and he said I may have a reply straight away but if not you will be called with a date. He also said that he had ordered a drum for a customer that morning and she was having it fitted in 2 days, but she had extended ‘guarantee’ . I didn’t have a call for 2 days so I called them, I was told the items would not be with them until the 20th Jan!!! Now bear in mind I have a family and my 10 year old is autistic so I get a lot of washing, this was not acceptable, I have had to rely on neighbours and friends to help with my washing which is also not acceptable. Today 23rd of Jan 2017 I rang Hotpoint again, at first they said I hadn’t got an account with them but on further checking and persistence they found me and told me that the parts I needed still hadn’t arrived and that I would have to wait the full 28 days and if I still hadn’t had them to ring them back and they would put a ‘fast track’ on them!!! not acceptable! I am so angry at the moment with this firm I will not be having any more Hotpoint Indisett appliances ever and I will spread the word about their incompetent ways of dealing with things, oh of course unless you take out the extended warrant more money in their pockets, then you get a quick efficient service. Totaly and utterly wrong.

I had an engineer booked to reolace the seal on my washing machine door, when the engineer arrived with the new door seal !!! he looked at my old seal and told me he wasnt authorised to put in the new one. However i told him thats what he was there for and that i would ring domestic and general and while i was on the phone to them he walked out the house!!! I told the woman on the phone what he did and she put me on hold to ring him, and when she came back she told me that she asked him to come back as thats what he was supposed to do and she said he told her he didnt have time, so what do we actually pay our insurances for? so she gave me the complaints phone number but no one answers the bloody phone.

I have a washing machine that has not washed or rinsed my clothes since the day it arrived. Coloureds come out with soap powder marks on them . Whites come out dirty and most of the time not all of the clothes are wet when I take them out. I have had numerous engineers out over a two year period the last being last week. The engineers have all done different types of “Repair” and still it does not do as it is supposed to do … WASH CLOTHES. I have phoned Hotpoint four times today and constantly I am told I can not speak to customer complaints/resolutions as there is no phone number for them. I purchased a Hotpoint tumble dryer just over 12 months ago and the cabinet is rusting … They will not do anything unless I purchase an extended waranty for it. I will never buy a hotpoint appliance again.

i have always had hot point applyances and as i had my kitchen re done last year i wanted all new applances, i bought washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge. after about 8 months i noticed rust on the front of my machine, when i looked closer it was in fact rust in the rim where the door closes i think it is the design of the door front, i didnt take out extra cover as i had my last machine for 10years and never had any problems, when i phoned hotpoint customer services, they were not intersted at all and said they have never heard of this complaint happening to any one else, and there was nothing they could do. i have now found that my dishwasher and fridge have the same problem, rust in side the dishwasher, and on the door of my fridge, so it must be a problem with the finishing i have the grafite grey finish. there not 2 years old yet and im very dissepointed with hotpoint and will not be buying that make again.

I have never been so discouraged in all my life. I am a single person taking care of my handicap sister so money is tight. I bought this washer 4 yrs ago and this past week the drum fell half off and started burning im glad I was home. so when you spend money you wouls hope the machine would last. I had to buy a new machine and new dryer last week I hope that is all because I am gonna end up in the poor house. I purchased a replacement tumble drier from Hotpoint on 18th March 2017. Now at the beginning of June, it has stopped working. I called the Helpline today 7th June & they have arranged for an engineer to come out BUT they kept me on the line for a long time tying to sell me other products and additional product insurance. They were very aggressively asking me to buy additional product insurance so that, they said I would not be liable to pay a big bill for the repair. As the appliance is less than 3 months old, I do not expect to receive a big bill for repairs. If I do, I will definitely not be purchasing another Hotpoint appliance.
